  2. So Ladies and Gents, you may ask, “What the heck is theme?” Think of theme as atmosphere. What ever enhances the overall gaming experience is theme. Think creative, geek pageantry. Does your team have a name? Do they have matching shirts? Is there a display board that unifies the three forces? Do you have a team banner? Do you have matching unique command tokens? Do you have have swag to hand out to your opponents. Does your table have a unified theme or is a collection of random terrain bits. None of these are requirements, nor are they limitations. Bring what sings to you. Do what you can complete. Simple, but well executed goes a long way. We are surrounded by creative hobbyists and gamers. Show us what you can do. Make the other gamers wish they were playing Infinity.

  3. Logan 9.5/10. Tha best send off to a character ever. Cinematography was dark and menacing. The characters were the best they have ever been. X-23 and Patrick Stewart especially were amazing. Only the villains were meh. Skull Island 6/10. Out of the 4 Kong films I know of this was just above the Jeff bridges 70's remake. Only thing good about it was it was on par with pacific rim and the beginning of a multiverse involving Godzilla. Rogue One 8/10. Titanic in space. The plus's; Madds Mickelson, the snarky robot and Vader destroying people. Why can't we get a film of Vader during his hunt for the Jedi's?

  4. This might have been mentioned earlier, but I refuse to research the 14 pages of this thread for redundancy: TABOO (Tom Hardy BBC show). It is awesome. East India Company vs. The British Crown vs. vs. the American Colonies vs. bad-ass Tom Hardy = 8 episodes of greatness.

  5. The army as a whole. Needs about half of it painted. Plus I can't find my fourth Lictor, but he will be added when I do. Anyone want to help paint these?

  12. Hi, So I'm new in the area. I've been to Guardian Games a couple of times to get a few items. I'm not much into the playing of the warmachine, warhammer, warhammer 40K, but I do very much enjoy the terrain and basing aspect of the game. I am looking forward to make bases and making terrain pieces for anyone who wants to use them. I'll look at trying to make a tournament board for either three of the games I know about. Hopefully you guys will want me to make you guys a base or two for your army. Hope to see you guys at a game night! Terrain James.

  14. Wow we all watch the same shows here. Iron Fist 6/10. Worst of the 4 MCU Netflix shows. Everyone compares it Arrow but since I don't like DC I don't know. Show starts off strong, then just goes down hill from there. Only really positive thing is now they can make the defenders. One Punch Man 8.5/10. Just finished it last night. First anime I've ever watched and I can't wait for season 2. So over the top and just great. Attack on Titan (4 episodes in) 7/10. So far this show is pretty darn awesome. However something is up cause Eren just got his leg eaten and then the rest of him eaten. Seems like you shouldn't kill the main character before halfway through the season. How I rate other shows; Got 9.9/10, Walking Dead 8/10, Rick & Marty 9/10

  15. I thought about this as well. Figured Catachan as the less mutated guys and using Necromunda pit slave models as the purestrain. Giant cybernetic weapon arms and drug collars would match the rule differences and stats pretty well. Visually different enough to make em easy to identify but still carry the theme. After pricing out Necromunda pit slaves I shelved the idea. Then I thought about using Catachan and Ork cybernetic limbs from Kromlech.

  17. They also set it at the start of the Game, but as a general thing, yeah, that's correct.

  18. Hello! I am going to be moving in a couple months... to a smaller space. Like most wargamers, I have more stuff than I need for the space I'm already in. Time to divest! What I have here are eight 2'x2' terrain boards. Four are modeled with hills, four are flat. They are older but we'll modelled and solid. Grassland flocking (see pics). Free to the first person who can pick them up in SE Portland, just PM me to set it up. If no one wants them personally, I'm happy to donate them to either of the clubs.

  19. I finally got around to listening to MMM by Lou Reed. Much more pleasant and melodic than I was expecting from what I'd read about it. I guess Noise Rock and Dark Ambient and stuff have come a long ways in the last 40-some years.

  20. Ironfist. Meh. The lead actor is not Danny Rand. The story line is clumsy and disjointed. The direction does not help. I was disappointed. Season One of Arrow was better..... 4/10

  22. Hrm, pretty sure who ever told you it was true to the original never watched it :) Other than they stole scenes and copied them directly, the story was VERY different. I personally still enjoyed GitS and am a fan of the original as well. A buddy of mine who is a bit more "fanatical" about GitS did not like the new movie due to the changes they made. It was a very good movie IMO... Ghost in the Shell (2017) 7/10

  23. I've been playing Battle Brothers on Steam. It's a low-fantasy single player strategy RPG focused on managing a group of Mercenaries and moving around a map from town to town taking on contracts and fighting brigands, orcs, undead, and more all while leveling up and equipping your fighters. It has a procedural world map with random end-game events that range from a war of the noble houses to an undead or greenskin invasion. The combat is all tactical turn-based style with an AP system and various skills for your fighters based on their weapon type and perks. Each action you take generates fatigue that gets burned off turn-by-turn and it also has a morale system with a Resolve stat, terrain advantages, injuries that take time to heal, and a pretty cool graphic style. I'd recommend checking it out, but maybe wait for a sale as its $30 price tag is a little high if you're on a budget.

  24. The term GW uses is "Detachment of Formations". You can take more than one, the Command Benefits apply normally even if it's not your Primary Detachment, with the obvious exception of those that depend on the Warlord being part of that Detachment. ITC counts each DoF as a single Detachment, so yeah, Points permitting, you could have like an Anvil Strike Force, a Sternhammer Strike Force, and a Talon Strike Force all in one Army.

  25. I still have to do a lot of work on these models before they are ready for paint, but I have six points assembled well enough for some play-test games. Warlord -mounted 4 Hearthguard -mounted 8 Hearthguard 8 Warriors 8 Warriors 8 Sea Wolves or Guides If the death of Arthur and the Saxon conquest of Britain can be though of as the Britons symbolic winter, then the fallout with Lancelot and the rise of Mordred is it's autumn. As such, I've decided to go with an autumn theme for my bases. I wish Skullcraft was still in business. They sold a very nice Autumn basing kit.

  26. Legion. So good. Didn't know anything about it or the characters going in, other than it's set in the X-Men universe. It's a really dark and trippy take on the superhero/mutant genre. I can tell the writers and effects artists were having a lot of fun with this one. Can't wait for season 2. 9/10.

  28. One consequence of having a three year-old nephew is that I have become rather better acquainted with the cartoon Octonauts than I ever would have guessed. I bring it up because one of the follow-on consequences of that is that I now always envision DeathWatch briefings being done in the format of the Octonauts' Creature Reports, including the dance breaks.

  29. I need to try X-Files again. Apparently, the two episodes I've seen are among the worst in the entire series, so the impression I got of the show is not particularly accurate :P
