  1. I get that bug. Sometimes it's more fun to build worlds than armies. Looking great.
  2. I am generally conservative with praise and have yet to play Blood Bowl but that is a thing of beauty. Well done.
  3. 2 of the employees @ Card Kingdom in Seattle (Big James, and Chris McKey) are die hard fans and have a couple of games in with the new rules. There are 6 or so of us a bit more fair weather players. Talk was of making Sunday the weekly get together. I like the game, what little I have absorbed of the new rules looks good.
  4. FFG forums, repaints, a very nice piece of work/play: https://community.fantasyflightgames.com/index.php?/topic/138758-dr-teeth-is-touring-the-outer-rim/
  5. The rammer helps. I believe but do not know, the perk Brother in Arms crew skill helps, Adrenaline Rush:but only when @<=10% health, not so useful in one hit wonders, but can get a lot of work done in the right tank. If Brothers in Arms in fact increases reload, then improved ventilation would as well but not applicable with the Marder, just generally. You might have to adjust your play style to include displacement after a shot. As you get better playing higher tiers so too will your opponents. They will be able to hit you even when you're not spotted because they know the map, where you are likely to find concealment, and of course they can see your shots, if not you.Even when in the best possible position it is wise to have an exit strategy.
  6. I agree it was jarring when it first happened to me, the now-you-see it now-you-don't, never mind it was perfect in my sights. I got used to it. I adjusted. I am not going to try to defend the game. Either you like it or you don't but I agree with Dark Tra1ner, who is an excellent player BTW. What bothered me most was the WTF? moment of getting hit out of no where, but I understand it a little and have had it work in my advantage enough that I just accept it, move on, and pull another tank out of the garage. I REALLY enjoy the game.
  7. Dark Tra1ner: do you prefer derp or snipe guns with the KV's? As much fun as it is to make tanks disappear I have been leaning towards accuracy and AP.
  8. Still have an E-75 but it's crew is well...substandard. Have our best American in the T-30 and a decent crew in the M103, neither of which tanks are maxed. I like the IS-3, just hate tier VIII battles. Look forward to getting some platooning in.
  9. I can only speak as an authority on wasting time. Buy and keep as many tanks as possible. Jump between them as often as possible. Actually I would recommend not thinking of it in terms of getting somewhere or you might feel all your time is wasted. You need to decide on your priority going in. Mine is primarily win/loss ratio, killing tanks, surviving the battle. This is essentially my third account and I have learned some things that suit my style. Premium account. A couple of choice premium tanks for earning silver and crew training. Cash can greatly facilitate just about anything but I try to avoid buying my way to victory out of principle. The only reason I go for tier X is I hate trying to take one down with an VIII. Honestly there is a sweet spot at tier V that gives the full game experience. If you watch the ques, play the right time of day, you can improve your odds of not being the omega. The game really teaches itself. If you enjoy it none of your time is wasted.
  10. Grinding, grinding, grinding. Making progress. Got a second 360 and a second flat screen. Still no mic. Hope to have the second screen set up soon. Still would not want to platoon above tier V on my own account, "esperatus". Dark Tra1ner: I will send you a request from Gossmanster, we can grind the VIII's. The IS-3 is pimped but a long way from the IS-8, we also have a pimped ROFL stomper aka rhumba. We are grinding a couple Tier IX's as well, but they are not as painful as the VIII bracket. Granted I occasionally do really stupid things, but the things I see the majority of people do regularly amazes me. I would think after however many hours it takes to get to VIII people would know the basics.
  11. Put in friends request for Birdawg, and Dark Tra1ner, Rcnjack63 gave error message, Dvang: I really only play on Xbox. I am @999 games and almost ready to try and not bring shame on anyone who wants to platoon in lower teir battles. 5 is the sweet spot for me now. 7 should be good in a couple of weeks.
  12. I have been playing Xbox almost exclusively. Generally prefer desk top but for some reason I just have more fun with WoT on console. Maybe because I started with it. Anyway, with my own account, esperatus, i could only really roll a T14, so tier V, I have a SU 122 44 but it really shows not having the training. The T14 is forgiving enough to fake it. Gossmanster and I are working out the mic situation and have two boxes in one room.
  13. Played Beta on a friend's account. House sat for him and ground up to the E-100, still working towards M103 and IS8 on gamer tag Gossmanster. He and I are generally anti-social, play w/o mic and if it is one of those rare times he is actually playing his account he will likely ignore an invite. But he is a good player and I will tell to be on the lookbout for some forum gamers. Just one less asshat on a side can swing a battle. Just started my own account last week. Forum name=gamer tag. Training crews now but would really like to platoon once I have something tier appropriate.

    Solo play

Zombicide is a good solo board game. Challenging but appropriately simple AI.
  15. http://imgur.com/AvXIihk of course nothing like the real thing, you get the feel, the whole melt experience, the bite of cold, etc. not practical, but hey who wouldn't go the extra distance for realism?
