Awards - Three-horn Cup Champion, Marshall Johnson Award (Favorite Opponent), Players' Choice, Best Offense, Most Casualties, Horney Cup (Stunty Cup; only if three or more Stunty coaches participate) He's baaaaack! Former NAF commissioner Nikk Three-horn has returned, and he's here for redemption. Three-horn brings his unique perspective on the game of Blood Bowl, along with collaborating with Ordo Bowl to present the first ever Three-horn Cup! Three-horn Cup is a one-day, four game resurrection style, swiss-system Blood Bowl tournament. For the first round only, we will do our best to pair players off against members that are outside of their home club. The tournament will run four total matches. Awards include Three-horn Cup Champion, Marshall Johnson Award (Favorite Opponent), Players' Choice, Best Offense and Most Casualties, and the Horney Cup (Stunty Cup) if there are at least three Stunty teams. Teams will be built with 1,100,000 gold pieces, and must be legal with eleven players minimum. Coaches may buy skills for their players, but are limited to no more than 40,000 gold per player. No stat advances are allowed. Inducement purchases are limited, as teams may only purchase a single Star Player. Some teams may purchase specific inducements with their initial allowance. Please see the team build rules later in this document. Before each game, the generous Nikk Three-horn gives each team gold to purchase inducements! That's right, you may pick your inducements after you have your match-up, which allows you to change your choices for each of your opponents. All inducements, except special play cards, are available for purchase. That means Mercenaries, Star Players, (In)Famous Coaching Staff, Nurglings...you get it!. All Inducement rules apply, meaning, no more than one Wizard, no more than two Star Players and so on. If you do not spend all of your team gold allowance on building your team, it isn’t carried over to your inducement budget, so build your team wisely! Don't disappoint Nikk, he can be temperamental...you must spend as much of the inducement as possible for each game. The big question is, where did he get all that money...? All games will be played in Nikk's gorgeous new stadium, with state of the art amenities. That means no weather is rolled before the game. Before each round, the tournament organizer will roll on the Three-horn Cup 'Start of Match' chart. This chart will be published soon, and reflects the chaotic nature of Nikk's personality and temperament. Cost is $20 per player, or $15 for 2019 Ordo Fanaticus Champions. For registration and payment, please visit http://www.ordofanaticus.com/store/product/66-three-horn-cup-one-day-four-game-blood-bowl-tournament/ Three-horn Cup is NAF and West Coast Grand Prix sanctioned!
  3. There will be a Warhammer Underworlds Shadespire 3 round event at OFCC this year and I hope everyone that is playing this fantastic, fast paced, tactical game can make it out to play. Rules and information for the event: -Ticket purchase link: -Tournament will take place at OFCC on Friday August 24th 2018 starting at 1pm (end time roughly 7pm). -We will use the standard matched play rules from the core rules, meaning that each round you will play the same opponent for up to 3 games. As soon as one player wins 2 games the round is over. We will be playing 3 rounds. -Each round will be 90 to 120 min, so potentially 30 to 40 min per game (we will most likely play things a little loose on game times to allow people to finish up). -Each player must use the same Warband and deck build throughout the tournament. All players must submit a desk list and upload it to the app (this can be as simple as a picture of all of your cards). -Players must use the appropriate miniatures represented on their fighter cards. Minor conversions are acceptable but they still must be easily identifiable as the miniatures represented on their fighter cards. -All Warbands must be fully painted and based per standard OFCC guidelines. -All players are required to bring their own warband, decks, dice, tokens and game boards. -Beta rules for relics will be in place. -People are free to use any boards and cards that have been released. -I will be using Best Coast Pairings (bestcoastpairings.com) for all player pairings. Its helpful if you already have a profile setup before the event but not necessary. -There will be prizes for placement, best painted warband and sportsmanship. Prize support is a follows: gift certificates to Geeks and Games in Oregon City, Shadespire token boxes and various official GW token sets/alternate art Warbands cards (see below for images of all prizes). Command cards are allowed. Battleplans will not be in use. Fog of War cards are NOT allowed. Attacker/Defender Determination will be using the same method that mid-war Nationals is using this year to calculate Attacker Defender (subject to change after Adepticon if needed): Tank Units - 2pts - meaning any unit with Tanks with an Armor Value (not "-") that is not a Transport Unit or have the Spearhead Rule. Mech Units - 1pt - meaning any unit with Transports (Armored, Unarmored,or Horse-drawn), Unarmored Tank Teams (like British Portees), Any Tank Unit with the Spearhead Rule, or Cavalry Infantry/Gun Units - 0pts. - Any Unit made up of only Infantry Teams and Gun Teams. Game Play: Players are responsible for monitoring the time and the judges will announce time intervals throughout the tournament. A true act of sportsmanship is not starting a new turn if both players will not be able to finish that turn. The game should be called if both players cannot finish their turn and the results should be calculated. Slow play is to be actively discouraged. When time is called the game must immediately end regardless of the action taking place in the game. New turns cannot be started even if starting a new turn would award an immediate victory or cause a player to make a company morale check. TOURNAMENT SCORING (running scenarios still but this is probably the scoring) We will be using a spreadsheet for scoring and here is the breakdown we will use for the Enfilade 2018 tournament. 8. In the grand Warhamster tradition of being awesome, we're looking at running a 9th Age tournament during the month of November or late October. Before I start putting out official feelers to DTG about getting a date reserved, I wanted to check in with our local 9th Agers on what day would work best for a tournament. Please use the poll to select any days you can make and I'll try to shoot for the date that gets the most local appeal. If last year's Ham Slamwich and the responses from the OFCC are any indication, I would expect a number of out-of-towners showing up so this will be a great chance to play some 9th Age against some cool peoples that you don't get to play very often from the comfort of your own Bellingham! Like last year, I'll be running this event as a no-proxy, but no-painting requirement event to let people try new stuff out and appeal to newer players. This will be a one-day, three-game event with a $10 buy-in and 100% of the pool going to store credit for the winners (general, paint, sports). So vote in the poll and comment in the thread and hopefully we can have an awesome event! It should be noted that I'm leaving the weekend of the 10th off for Fall Sleepover and the weekend of the 25th for Thanksgiving.
  9. Cody Burkett did me a solid at the OFCC and game me a care package of Infinity Boxes. I was super happy. I use them to make tokens for the Rampage. If possible can you save me the whole boxes and bring them to me or Pete Harper at the club or a local event, so I can make tokens for new players and use the art images on the sides as civilians to rescue? Thank you, RD

  15. So I am trying to build a BA list for a tournament. I have a basic list down but was hoping maybe someone can toss some ideas on glaring holes. It is an ITC tournament so most of what I have is painted or soon to be painted: Composition: Lost Brotherhood Strike Force (angel's blade) Command Lemartes - Bolt Pistol, Blood Crozius DC Strike Force DC Chaplain - Relic: Guilded Crozius, Inferno Pistol, Jump Pack Death Company - 8x DC, Power Sword, Plasma Pistol, Rhino Death Company - 5x DC, Thunder Hammer, Inferno Pistol, Power Fist, Power Sword, Jump Packs Death Company - 5x DC, 2x Power Swords, Power Fist, Inferno Pistol, Jump Pack DC Dreadnought - Blood talons with built-in meltagun, Blood Talons with built-in storm bolter, Magna-grapple Lucifer Strike Force (angel's blade) Techmarine - Bolt Pistol, Chainsword Baal Predator - TL Assault Cannon, Sponson Heavy Bolters Baal Predator - TL Assault Cannon, Sponson Heavy Bolters LandRaider Crusader(redeemer?) - Multi-melta Predator - TL Lascannon, Lascannon sponson Rapid Assault Force (angel's blade) Biker Squad - 3x bikers, Gravgun x2 Comes to about 1848 pts. I don't know if a redeemer or a crusader is better so that could change things a bit. The redeemer would give me the 10 points I need to upgrade the biker sarge to a combi-grav. The goal is to have the 8x foot DC and techmarine in the Landraider and use the hell out of the 6' formation move + scout redeploy to get in real close (thus the redeemer conundrum). This will screen/shield the DC Dread and JP DC and potentially get a first turn charge if all things work out. I am really lacking in anti-tank though and really hinges on getting to the enemy first. Thoughts? I'm trying to make this as BA pure as possible since I don't have the means to ally in Space Marines. I think this one will be pretty strict about having codex/books with you which is why I can't just download a copy of the Codex: SM to add in "Red Marine" allies. Thoughts?
  16. Somewhere, in the dark woodlands of the Northwest… …lies a hidden treasure… …earned in blood… …but unseen for years: The Northwest Invasion trophy Will the woodsmen from the South be able to keep it? Will the horde from the North take it? Which heroes will tip a pint and congratulate each other on their victory? I would like to resurrect this tradition. But in attempting to organize this, it has become obvious that I will need some assistance. One person, part-time, will not reboot this and keep it going. Need someone on the WA end to volunteer to help with the organization and logistics. If anyone else (from Oregon or Washington) justs want to help out with one part, then that assistance will also be welcome (sponsorship, venue, prizes, format, promotion, terrain, umpiring, judging, recruiting players, etc.) To get this going again, we need: a venue a team tournament format recruiting players and something to generate interest ...that will draw together both Oregon gamers and Washington players. Firstly, I need help in nailing down an affordable and mutually attractive location Looks like game stores midway between Portland and Lacey/Lakewood are too small: Centralia, Castle Rock, Longview. As for other options, my limited research in renting a hall indicates that this option is too expensive (e.g. $300.00 for non-members of the American Legion Post in Centralia), unless someone is a member of an organization where they can get a discounted rental rate. If we can get gamers from Seattle and Redmond, it might make sense to hold this at OC&C. But to do that, we need commitment from the Oregon guys to travel there. If held in Portland, we might get some players from farther south and east in OR. If there was some sponsorship, it might sweeten the pot, draw more gamers. Ideas and volunteers welcome.
