  1. 300 Points! Doors open at 3 PM. Will we see Scott, Caitlin, Aaron, Darron, Evan, Justin or Dan? Mission: Seize the Data Briefing: Breach the data farm. Locate the data consoles. Download as much data as possible while preventing opposing forces from doing the same. Set-Up: This scenario is a variation of the Safe Area Mission. With consoles in each center of the four quadrants. Downloading data from the console requires a short skill attack roll based on WIP. Only Specialist may attempt to download data. Hackers and Engineers may use a command token to re-roll failed attempts. Since the amount of information in the data farm is significant, the downloading process takes time. The opposing side stop a download and switch the feed to their servers. The side that is downloading data at the end of the game counts as scoring. Controlling a console requires having any friendly model in base to base contact. The model may not be in a marker state. Scoring: Hold the same number of quadrants as your opponent at the end of the game: 1 point Hold more quadrants than your opponent at the end of the game: 2 points Control a console at the end of the game: 1 point per each console Downloading a console at the end of the game: 1 point per each console * The baggage rule is used in this scenario.

We will be setting up the big room for an Apocalypse style battle. I will be editing this post with more details as we get closer to the date. i wanted to make sure everyone has time to plan as i know it is still a busy year for everyone. Please join us! Bring a friend! Bring some snacks. Prepare yourself for death and glory! Hope to see you there. 2. @Rhuntar 3. @ROGRE 4. @evil_bryan 5. @Atomic 6. @deadwing34 7. @Sugarlessllama 8. @happycamper 9. @scotthartman 10. @savion47 (maybe) 11. @kb10r 12. @Nathanvoodoo you are playing dang it! 13. @zcaust83 14. @Chikin 15. @andozane 16. @Josiah
  3. First things first. I want to say a big "Thank you" to all of you who participated in the league. It is always my pleasure to host leagues at Ordo and you guys make all the difference. I want to thank the club for allowing us to get in games night after night and have such a great environment to play in. We went 7 weeks solid with great attendance, a huge array of armies, and new faces throughout. I'm please to say my Genestealer Cult saw the table and had some stupendous games. So without further delay, I would like to say a big congrats to our League Winner - Chad (@happycamper) - with his Primaris Salamanders!! Chad is a fairly new member to the club, a newly appointed Senator AND is new to 40k. He claims "I just like to paint the models" while his army is handing out death from the business end of a bolter. He definitely brought the total package of Sportsmanship, Building, Painting, and Playing. You should check out the progress made on this army throughout the league. The main color for his marines is a great deep orange that I dont really mind. Chad will be the lucky winner of the first ever Ordo After Dark Apocalyptic Pizza Party. Chad, his invites, and league participants will be enjoying a night of fun and battle at the club on a soon to be determined evening. It will be a ton of fun and a great way to celebrate! Along with that, I'll be designing a custom forum tag to show Chad's status as reigning 40k Escalation League Champion until the next league comes around. I would like to go on to say a few words about the league participants. The league offered one point per week for a post on the forums about their experience or showing their building/painting progress. I invite everyone to click through to these threads as some great work is contained within. @Nathanvoodoo Nate started the league playing IG only as a stop gap measure until he had enough Tyranids painted up. It brings me great joy to see other hive mind brothers out there and tried to encourage his expansion as much as possible. Check out the crazy fast progress and excellent paint jobs! @evil_bryan Bryan wanted a new army and he certainly found a good one. I was on the receiving end of his new Ravenguard force and it is a bunch of fun. Check out all the new forces in his thread. The strategems are can stack up to be quite the combo! @Atomic Necrons and Orks. Marshall jumped right in to the new edition with some fun armies and recounts his games. The evil robits prove to be a tough nut to crack in this edition. @ninefinger Jeffrey started strong with some new Deathwatch and Inquisitor models to build a new army. He has since moved on to some more terrain oriented projects but he still showed up with his Orks and had a good time. @zcaust83 Chris brought the filth with his Nurgle Deathguard. So many zombies, so impossible to kill them all. Lots of cool models throughout this army. @peter.cosgrove Even Pete got into the posting on the forums for the league. Check out his detailed write up of the new Chaos Marine units. DisruptiveConduct I started somewhat strong on this thread and ended up not even finishing my awesome Rockgrinder. Soon!! @Chikin As I said before, I am always happy to see another Tyranid player in the club. Trevor's Tyranid's did pretty well and I definitely could not stand up against them for a full 5 turns. @Josiah Josiah's Space Marines rocked the house pretty much every week. I have yet to get in a game against them but there is definitely a good chance it will happen soon. @stevensonmat2 Matt S was a new face to the club. He came in and had a good time and we hope to see him again throwing down his Blood Angels. I love how the picture of my cat is what is showing for his thread! @Sugarlessllama Will's Primaris Ultramarines were no joke. They represented for the Emperor and brought his glory to the tables. Will is welcome to throw down with me any time, any day! @andozane This league brought out some of the veterans of the long wars including our very own Mike. He came out with his Grey Knights a few times and had a good time. @Dark Trainer Matt's big blocks of evil robits proved way hard to move off objectives. I hope to get another chance to take down some souless metal puppets. And finally: The club Always a great time at the club. Even when it is hotter than all get out inside. The people and the place go a long way to making for great gaming. Here's to the many more years of gaming to come!

New Recruits will get their first game night free if they play and score 10 points of their own for coming by. Playing a game: 2 points – Game as much as you want on game night. If you do not end up playing, but maybe help out another game or coach someone through a game, points for you too! Winning a game: 1 point per week – You only get this once per week. Bring snacks or drinks to the club to share: 2 points each week – Chips and water/soda are always welcome and put to good use! Build a model or unit: 2 points per week for a model / 5 points per week for a unit (a single vehicle doesnt qualify as a unit for this) - I know you have models somewhere that you have yet to put together. Paint a model or unit: 5 points per week for a model / 10 points per week per for a unit – More units are great and paint makes the table look alive. Post on the forums: 1 point per week – Make a thread in the 40k section of the forums. Any new updates to your army like pictures, battle reports, or commentary will earn these points. 6. 40k 8th Edition Escalation League Week 8 Mission *************************************************************************** This is it, eternal warriors! The last week of the Escalation League. The past 8 weeks gave me much joy as I watched various folks build and paint their new forces all while jumping into the new edition and all of its changes. We will be doing 1500 points or 75 Power Level. Let’s have some fun and see you there! MISSION 8 – Screwby Armies: All armies shall be 1500 points or 75 PL, Battleforged, must qualify for a Patrol Detachment (if you can fit more, go for it!). Battlefield: Setup terrain on a 6x4. Make sure there is a variety of terrain as the Advanced Rules contain entries for craters, ruins, battlefield debris and other cool things (all of which should be in the terrain room or tubs)! Setup 6 objective markers (numbered 1 thru 6) as detailed on page 226 of the Rulebook. Deployment: Hammer and Anvil Deployment (12 and 12). Roll off and winner chooses deployment zone. Alternate deploying units with winner of deployment placing first. Deploy units so that they are wholly within your deployment zone. First Turn: The player who finished setting up their army first can choose to take the first or second turn. If they decided to take the first turn, their opponent can seize the initiative on a roll of a 6. Objectives: On Three. Kill!: For each one of your opponent’s units you destroy, you receive 1 VP. Aye-Oh Secure: For each objective you control at the end of the game, you receive 2 VP. Screwby: On turn 3, each player makes a hidden roll of a d6. Record this roll on a piece of paper. Keep it secret! If you control your rolled objective at the end of the game, you score 3 VP. If you control your opponent’s hidden rolled objective at the end of the game, you score 5 VP. You must reveal this objective to your opponent after the game is over! Game Length: At the end of round 5, the player who is winning, rolls a d6. On a 3+ the game goes to round 6. At the end of round 6, the other player rolls a d6, on a 4+, the game goes to round 7. Game is over at the end of round 7. Victory Conditions: At the end of the game, the player who has scored the most victory points is the winner. If both players have the same number of victory points, the player with the lower Battle Points or Power Level is the winner. Special Rules: If you built or painted any model this week, you automatically start with 3 VP. ***I will have copies of the mission printed out and available at the club.***
  7. I will be ther around 4ish. Looking for a early game and a late game. Maybe Khan will have the new mission up by then 😝😜✌️
  8. 40k 8th Edition Escalation League Week 7 Mission *************************************************************************** Here we go again. Just two more times around we go. Week 7. 1250 points or 63 Power Level. I want to see some game faces tomorrow night. I want to see hunger (and not just for chips). I want to see you pushing your units to the max. Let’s show the present how the future God Emperor deals with problems: WAR. MISSION 7 – Total Tactical Success Armies: All armies shall be 1250 points or 63 PL, Battleforged, must qualify for a Patrol Detachment (if you can fit more, go for it! No Brigades, yet though. Any combination of Patrol, Battalion, Vanguard, Spearhead, Outrider, or Auxiliary Support Detachment is fine.). Battlefield: Setup terrain on a 6x4. Make sure there is a variety of terrain as the Advanced Rules contain entries for craters, ruins, battlefield debris and other cool things (all of which should be in the terrain room or tubs)! Setup 6 tactical objective markers (numbered 1 thru 6) as detailed on page 226 of the Rulebook. Deployment: Dawn of War Deployment (12 and 12). Objectives: Maelstrom of War: Deadlock is the objective. Follow all the rules on page 235 to play the mission including the Battle Length, Victory Conditions, and the Strategic Deadlock Special Rule. Special Rules: Strategic Deadlock: From the start of the third battle round, the Command Point cost of all Stratagems used by players is doubled. ***I will have copies of the mission printed out and available at the club.***
  9. 40k 8th Edition Escalation League Week 4 Mission *************************************************************************** This week in the league, we will be hitting 1000 points. That means quite a few things. First off, we are switching to 6x4 tables. I know, I know. Who will you rub butts with if we are all playing on 6x4’s? The answer lies in rolling for Tactical Objectives! That’s right. In 8th edition, GW was sure to include Maelstrom War missions using Tactical Objectives. These missions proved very popular in 7th edition and I would like to visit them in this new edition. MISSION 4 - Grit The grand recruiting days are here. The Imperial Navy of Hydraphur needs fresh meat! They have put out the the call far and wide and many groups have come to the training grounds to prove their mettle. The Navy wants forces of great acumen along with a taste for war. They have setup a tactical battle simulation war zone for the new comers to compete in. Come prove your worth and join the Imperial Navy! Armies: All armies shall be 1000 points or 50 PL, Battleforged, must qualify for a Patrol Detachment (if you can fit more, go for it! Since we are using Tactical Objective markers, place 6 objectives, numbered 1-6 on the battlefield. Note the deployment map below requires you to place Objective 1 and Objective 6 in specific places (18” away from each other, 9” away from center point of table). Objectives 2-4 are placed by each player outside of either deployment zone. Roll off to determine who places first. Place each objective more than 12” from any other objective and more than 6” from any table edge. Deployment: Please see below image for Altered Front-Line assault deployment. Tactical Objectives: This mission uses Tactical Objectives. If, at the start of a player’s turn, they have fewer than 3 active Tactical Objectives, they must generate Tactical Objectives until they have 3. Precious Cargo: In this mission, both players can achieve any active Tactical Objectives titled ‘Secure Objective X’, regardless of which player generated it. In addition, these Tactical Objectives can only be discarded when achieved. In addition to Achieving Tactical Objectives, victory points are achieved for the following: Steal the Loot: If, at the end of the game, one player has achieved more ‘Secure Objective X’ Tactical Objectives than their opponent has, that player receives 1 additional victory point. Slay the Warlord: If the enemy Warlord has been slain during the battle, you score 1 victory point. First Blood: The first unit, of any kind, to be destroyed during the battle is worth 1 victory point to the opposing player at the end of the game. If two or more units from opposing forces are destroyed simultaneously, then both players get 1 victory point. Linebreaker: If, at the end of the battle, you have at least one model within the enemy’s deployment zone, you score 1 victory point. Special Rules: Restoratives: Each player may pick a friendly unit at the start of their turn. Roll a d6. On a 5+, that unit regains D3 lost wounds. ***I will have copies of the mission printed out and available at the club.***

  12. 40k 8th Edition Escalation League Week 3 Mission *************************************************************************** On a whim, I decided to give the Open War deck another shot since I enjoyed the mission so much (pillaged 2! Objectives; still tabled). The very first draw was just too good to pass up as I discussed this very Objective Mission with evil_bryan last week. MISSION 3 The Panevrian Belt is home to vast iron asteroids and the Forge World Belacane. Among the belt, any piece of rock can be used for war! A major satellite that used to guide their Ordinatus Belacane is on a collision course with the surface of an uninhabited asteroid. Hoping to gain the technology for themselves, two rival armies await its arrival. And what better way to past the time, but with blood and death! Armies: All armies shall be 750 points or 38 PL, Battleforged, must qualify for a Patrol Detachment (if you can fit more, go for it! Battalions are legit, too). Battlefield: Setup terrain on a 4x4. Make sure there is a variety of terrain as the Advanced Rules contain entries for craters, ruins, battlefield debris and other cool things (all of which should be in the terrain room or tubs)! Deployment: Divide the table into quarters. Roll off and winner chooses Deployment Zone A or B (see map above). Find the center of the table. A 6” radius no-man’s land exists around the center for purposes of deployment. Alternate deploying units with winner of deployment placing first. Deploy units so that they are wholly within your deployment zone and more than 9" away from any enemy models. Objective: At the start of the turn 3, roll off. Winner rolls another die and places an objective marker as close as possible to the center of the corresponding table quarter shown on the map. The player that controls the objective marker at the end of turn 5 wins the battle. Game Length: 5 turns. The player that controls the objective marker at the end of turn 5 wins the battle. Special Rules: Orbital Debris: Each player rolls 3 dice at the start of their turn. For each roll of 6, they may pick a different enemy unit (cannot be the same unit unless that is the only unit left) and inflict D3 mortal wounds on that unit. ***I will have copies of the mission printed out and available at the club.***

  14. 40k 8th Edition Escalation League Week 2 Mission *************************************************************************** On a tip from @Sugarlessllama, I bought the new Open War card deck from the Portland Game Store tonight. I'm a big fan of easy ways to make things different and these are pretty good for that. I did some random draws and cherry picked what I thought would go well for the League. Thus: MISSION 2 Heretic vs. Traitor: Burn and Pillage Two factions war over belief. The lust for war will rage until nothing is left. This battle is a crusade of faith and there are no prisoners. Deployment: Divide the table in half down the middle (even diagonal if you want). Roll off and winner chooses Deployment Zone A or B. Place 6 objectives. Winner of deployment places first. Place objectives anywhere in YOUR deployment zone no less than 6" from any other objective and any table edge. Alternate deploying units with winner of deployment placing first. Deploy units so that they are wholly within your deployment zone and more than 9" away from any enemy models. Objective: A player can burn and pillage any enemy objective markers that they control at the end of their turn, one objective per game turn. Remove the objective marker after doing so. The first player to burn and pillage all three enemy objective markers wins the battle. Game Length: 5 turns. Whoever burned and pillage the most objective markers rolls a die at end of turn 5. On a 4+, the game is over. On a 1, 2, or 3, the game goes on to turn 6. Special Rules: Acid Rain: Subtract 1 from all hit rolls made for shooting attacks and subtract 1 from all Advance and charge rolls. Roll a die at the start of each battle round after the first. On a 4+, the rain stops (if it was raining in the last round), or starts again (if it was not raining in the last round). ***I will have copies of the mission printed out and available at the club.***

  22. Mythic Realm Games Warhammer 40,000 Story League Battle for Arx November 2014 – February 2015 The Arx system. For thousands of years Arx has been an unstable gate for the Eye of Terror. It was here that Abaddon the Despoiler began the Gothic War by raiding the research station in 139.M41. It bypasses the Cadian Gate, and hence is an attractive system to wage attacks from. However, recently Arx has become much more. Readings from the system show a psychic anomaly of galactic proportions that has not been spoken of since the Eldar brought into being the entity of Slaanesh. Such power is not only unsettling due to the unknown origin of this anomaly but also because Terra is not the only ones to notice. All sectors are reporting sightings of multiple xenos races converging on Arx and worse yet the presence of the hive mind has been felt. If Arx is not scouted, the source of the anomaly detected and controlled then the Hive itself could be called to it via the Eye of Terror. The warp is in turmoil and legions of chaos are spilling through. Arx it seems has become a beacon to all. Who will take Arx first and either put an end to the psychic anomaly or worse…weild it? The purpose of this league is to promote fun gameplay during a story arc that takes place in the 40k universe. While competitive play is welcome, the idea is to invest in the story of your personal Avatar as he grows to become a powerful commander within your army. While everyone wants to have a good game and to win the most important rule in this league is to have fun and be a good sport. League Rules: 1. All league games must be played at Mythic Realm Games 14313 NE 20th Ave
Suite A108
Vancouver, WA 98686 during normal business hours (subject to store event schedule). 2. League play will garner league points which will then be used for raffle events during segments of the league. 3. Special Escalation Rules: Every two weeks the army point total will increase. Players may continue to play at lower point totals if both participants agree. Starting army point total is 500. Below is a breakdown of the point totals for each week. Point limits may not be exceeded. 4. Each player must choose one army faction to play through the league and may not change their faction for the duration of the league with the exception of special league rules. However, armies may incorporate different allies per 7th edition rules as long as their Avatar HQ does not change. 5. Each player will choose an HQ unit from their army faction list and rename the unit to personalize the unit. The unit retains all stats per their faction’s codex. Players may not change their HQ for the remainder of the league and this HQ must be incorporated in every league game. 6. Each game will be played using the 7th 40k rule set and each army must be based off the current army codex. Codexes that have been released after the League start date are not required for play. 7. Each player must bring a copy of their army list for view by their opponent. Digital copies may be used but must be clear and reviewable by your opponent. 8. WISIWYG rules are in place, however proxies may be used as long as both players agree and there is a clear understanding of what the unit is and what gear it has (this is to promote story and gameplay, don’t be a jerk). 9. Special Story events/circumstances will be administered by the League Moderator and will be available at the store. 10. Each player must log their weekly league game at Mythic Realm Games at the time of play. Failure to sign in will result in no league points being awarded. 11. Forgeworld Models are not allowed in league games unless both players and the League Moderator agree in advance and have clear up to date rules for each model. 12. 2 League Tournaments will be held with special story elements added. 13. It is recommended but not mandatory that each player play a different opponent each week. Players will choose whom they will play each week. 14. All rulings by the League Moderator are final. League Avatar HQ Advancement: 1. Players must choose an HQ unit from their faction Codex to become their Avatar HQ. This will represent the player during each game. The Avatar HQ must be present in every league game and may not change once chosen though gear may be changed between point lists per the rules of your respective codex. Players will rename their Avatar HQ and this will represent your army name during league play. Example: Steve chooses a farseer for his Avatar HQ and follows all rules for his farseer per the Eldar Codex. He names his Avatar HQ Eldrenathor the Souldbender. For the remainder of league play Eldrenathor the Soulbender will remain his Avatar HQ and will advance gaining permanent warlord traits and special story gear. Eldrenathor must be included in every league game and tournament. 2. Warlord Traits will not be rolled for at the beginning of each battle per the 7th edition rules. Instead, at the end of each battle each player will roll randomly for a Warlord trait from their respective codex or from the 7th edition rule book. The player who won the match may then force the losing player to re-roll their Warlord trait once. 3. The Avatar HQ must be your Warlord and may be the only unit to benefit from the Warlord traits. 4. Each Warlord may have a total of 2 Warlord traits (may only gain 1 per battle). If a Warlord were to achieve a new trait the player must either decide to drop a trait and take the newer trait or discard the new trait. 5. Special items (loot) may be obtained through league play. These items will be given out by the League Moderator during certain events. Rules for these items will be given during the time the item is awarded. League Point Accumulation: Each week players may earn several league points. League points buy raffle tickets for league giveaways. More details will be provided in store. Points may be earned as follows: 1. Weekly League play: 1 point. (Maximum 1 point per week) 2. Fully painted army: 1 point. (maximum 1 point per week) 3. Story Points: The League Moderator will award league points during special events or when certain game achievements have been met. 4.
