I'd love to give it a go. Sign me up. Dibs on the Germans! :)

EDIT: back up, now that I have to bring my own models, I can't do Germans as I don't have much in the way of painted german tanks. I might be able to bring Brits as I have painted crusaders and grants, but might not have enough for whatever force list you are considering. I would highly recommend finding someone that can provide the models you need for the event and let players simply use them.

Yes, please. The first new boxes of Plastics will probably not arrive with enough lead time to put them on the table.

I have some resin and metal models, but only a smattering of the MW N. Africa German and British tank.

For speed and simplicity, we will just use tank on MAR 11.

Want to approach it like the teaching scenarios in Squad Leader and ASL, but with Tanks, then guns, then infantry, then Air Support and anti-aircraft, etc.

1 grant, 2 crusaders, 1 Pz III and 1 Pz IV F2

pz III is prob III J (photo looks like a long 5 cm KwK 39)

Pz IV looks like an F2 ("Pz IV Special")

Looks like the only models and cards released this weekend will be in "Battle of El Alamein: War in the Desert"

http://www.flamesofwar.com/hobby.aspx?art_id=5452
That includes:

  • One plastic Grant tank
  • Two plastic Crusader tanks
  • One plastic Panzer III tank
  • One plastic Panzer IV tank
  • One Flames Of War 'Start Here' booklet
  • A Flames Of War Mini rulebook
  • six Dice
  • two Terrain cards

Therefore, I am going to assume that this handbook would allow you to put together two lists with just the models in the box.
I have not seen those unit cards yet, so I am just using inductive reasoning here.

My plan is to use the "old models" with Cards and the books in the box. Not planning on assembling models in the store.
Some of the unit cards are also in the v4 Rulebook (store copy), but I did not memorize enough data to make a list, yet.
I had anticipated this situation when I wrote "Demo Organizers gather at 11:00 AM to go over lists, setup terrain, discuss questions"

You could bring more of those types, since the unit cards should allow units of 3-5 tanks.

But no guarantee that Honeys, guns nor other tanks will be covered in the this set of 'Start Here' booklet, or cards
