There are two new ways to gain Special Play Cards--The Points System,and The Draft System. In The Points System, essentially each team gets between 2-5 points to spend on cards, and each deck cost in points roughly equal to 1 pt = 50k gp from the CRP.

so I finally looked at this more closely. I like the direction, but am confused by the pricing of the cards. No way should Random Events be the cheapest cards. My thoughts are as follows:
 

  • Misc May = 4 pts & 200k gp
  • Random Events = 3 pts & 150k-200k gp (not fully picked a cost)
  • Magic Mem = 2 pts & 100k gp
  • Heroic Feats = 1 pt & 50k gp

In fact, it looks to be a mistake as in the first part it says (emphasis mine):

For example, the Random Events deck costs more because it contains cards that are likely to have a more drastic (and entertaining!) effect on the match.

The pricing looks to to be based on the CRP, but I really like your suggested pricing alteration. Actually going off the CRP, wouldn't Random Events, Magic Mem, Heroic Feats be 1 pt each, and Misc May 4 pts?

I read that sentence you quoted as a typo as well. But I thought they simply mentioned the wrong deck name (as Miscellaneous Mayhem used to be the Random Event deck).
