andozane
Where Kill Team was really lackluster in my opinion, if they flesh the rules out and give you a better point buy system for your "gang" or whatever they are going to call it, this will be a big win in my book. My fear for it though is that model support might be limited to just repackaging of existing GW Models? If that is the case, that is too bad... But who knows, time will see.
Andrewgeddon
Looking forward to this, although I'm hoping the factions will have a bit more personality than simply having a "Kill Team" sized force plugged into a Necromunda-style ruleset. savion47
While I am sad that we will not be getting a true necromunda game, I am very happy to see this still. There is a lot I like about kill team, but I always wanted it to have more. This seems like that.
andozane
Interestingly enough, there is talk that this is a GW game, and that Necromunda from the Specialist Games is still coming...I'd say take that with a HUGE whole shaker of salt, but who knows. I agree, I would have loved a return to the original. But, an expanded upon Kill Team with awesome terrain would be a great game as well. Time will tell... pretre
created : about 1 hour ago Shadow War: Armageddon - terrain and factions Tags : armageddon shadow war terrain Howdy Guys and Girls - little bit more informations about SW:A via warhammer community. Regards, Lady Atia Shadow War: Armageddon "So, it’s a new, self-contained game set in the hive cities of Armageddon, with Orks against Space Marines and the option to add almost a dozen more factions? Sounds pretty cool to us. Those veteran gamers out there will be keen to learn that much of the ruleset is based off of the classic Necromunda game, including some in-between game advancements and earning experience that can see your small recon-force grow to become an elite unit of honed killers. The terrain is perhaps the star of the set though. Never before has the tangled structure of an industrial hive been better represented. Your warriors can hide behind chimneys, sprint along walkways, gain higher ground, duck under arcane mechanisms, and generally make full use of this great new set. The kits are, of course, also suitable for Warhammer 40,000 games, and it is fully modular, meaning you can combine kits in all sorts of unusual ways to create some truly huge and awesome terrain pieces." Example for usable units "You’ll be able to expand your game with extra models for the two squads in the box, or even add whole new races. The Kill Teams are all designed to be built around squads in an army you might already have, or can pick-up in a single boxed set. Here are a few of the units that you will be able to use, in case you wanted to get started building and painting now: Skitarii Rangers Chaos Space Marines Cultists Dark Eldar Wyches Dire Avengers Eldar Guardians Harlequin Troupe Grey Knights Strike Squad Necron Immortals Necron Warriors Tau Empire Pathfinder Team Tyranid Warrior Brood Neophyte Hybrids Scouts Scouts with sniper rifles Cadian Infantry Squad Ork Boyz" I guess they will let FW handle the "classic" Necromunda gangs and Arbites stuff^^

WestRider
"It's back" in the sense that nothing in print in the 40K setting has used Movement Values for years. Not that it's back in Necromunda, but that it's a thing in any currently printed 40K-setting Rules again.
Scarydog
So happy ? i haven't played 40k in years and really have no desire to again, but I am so in for this. I love skirmish games and conversions. So Win! Win!

Burk
not trolling. Honestly dont understand why "being in print" matters for something to be "back". It never left necromunda regardless of when it was last printed. However, I digress. I will bow out of this one.
Andrewgeddon
Anyone thinking about getting multiple boxes and willing to part with the rules / game aids? Terrain is beautiful, but I've got zero room to store it, and I don't have much use for the Scouts / Orks.

There is a good chance I will buy two sets...it all kind of depends on what the rumors say that terrain will be as stand alone kits. That and I have zero use for all those Orks and Scouts...
