Brother Glacius
So I'm still sitting on my 40K city set. I can't say I've given it more than a passing glance...can it be built for mult-level play?
CaptainA
You can put it together pretty much how you want. Each kit will work with the others. Its basically a bunch of squares and rectangles.
WestRider
Yeah, it can do multi-level just fine. We're planning on mostly using that for SW up here until we can get some more of the Mechanicus Terrain.
Weav
You just need lots of bridges
Sugarlessllama
Of course if anyone has a 3D printer, you can always use some of this stuff: http://www.printablescenery.com/ I know I would be willing to buy a file or two for club use. I just don't have a printer.
Threejacks
Kinda on the same topic but I assume the Deadzone terrain sets from the original game and the Contagion set are well suited for SW`s as well?
pretre
Deadzone terrain is great for all games. :)
Ish
Just about any terrain type will work; not every game needs to be set in an industrial hive... Armageddon is a big planet with a lot of variation in environments. There are hive-cities, sure, but there are also vast jungles, arid deserts, agricultural zones, and so forth.
Weav
There just needs to be lots
Ish
I'm kinda wanting to set up a fully overgrown jungle table, like the one GW built for Games Day '01 to promote the old Codex: Catachan.
Weav
I'd play on it!
Ish
Plus it'd be equally awesome for Frostgrave, Bolt Action, and Age of Sigmar...
Brother Glacius
Is there premeasuring in the game? If not, the deadzone stuff would not be so great.
WestRider
Yeah, pre-measuring is in. Pretty sure it's around to stay for GW stuff.
Ish
6 hours ago, WestRider said: Yeah, pre-measuring is in. Pretty sure it's around to stay for GW stuff. Good. Although I can appreciate, on an intellectual level, why many games don't allow pre-measuring, the practical reality is that allowing pre-measuring just cuts down on so many arguments, allowing for faster and smoother gameplay.
