generalripphook
How is the new edition? I haven't played in a while but while organizing all my miniatures I stumbled across inbuilt boxes of Germans and that got my interest piqued again. Lord Hanaur
Well the rules arent as far from the old ones as I expected them to be, so thats really nice. Much has NOT changed. However, some granularity was introdcued which is definitely new and army construction looks like its similar but definitely differen, more along the lines of 40K in the sense that you can take multiple Formations and then you can take individual units from those Formations. Bu I was pretty surprised at the similarities. The rulebook is much smaller and im grateful for the font size. =)
barca
I agree with LH. Mostly the same mechanics as v3, but with some of the gimmicks stripped away. There will be bumps and questions, but the richness that some grognards were concerned was being lost, is still there, just handled differently. The unit cards make it easy to try out a new platoon you have not used before. If you have the handbook for your force, you can use your old army, without the cards. All the information that is on the cards is also in the handbook. Instead of chattering about it a lot, just dive in, try it out, form your own opinion. Hopefully the new command cards will fix the gaps in the existing lists.
ZEKE
I like the new point scale. The old one was in 5pt increments, why couldn't it have been 1pt? With this new point scale, it's easier to tally numbers in my head.

Sometimes a generalize too much...
