The Gue'la auxilery had guarenteed the safety of this building. Calling it a "Sewer maintance shack", he ensured the Shas'ui it would give the team proper avenues to move through the world unseen from the surface. The smell was easily mitigated and even helped protect their location from biological tracking abilities. While Shas'ui Kais prefered not to sit in one place too long, he realised teh importance of a hide out until the air caste could pick up whatever supplies they were able to aquire. This world had drawn the interest of their Shas'O, who reasoned that any world where the multiple hostile races convene must be of great importance. Shas'ui Kais had the honor of leading the first recon team and was given two alien auxiliaries to accompany him. Gue'vesa'la John had served the tau loyally since his liberation from the Imperium Jail system. His only crime accepting the goods of the Tau Empire to help him provide for his family. The other xeno was simply known as Or'es. His home world had just been introduced to the tau, a fine lizard race boasting loyalty and ferocity in combat. They were being tried in pathfinder teams and as fire warriors until a better purpose could be established for them. The rest of his team consisted of 5 other Tau, all of which had been part of his team since he was just a shas'la. They have seen members come and go, but these 6 had always remained. It is here on Armageddon that they would see the enemies of their Empire. It is here that they will deny them their prize.

Pyre Warden
Battle Number 1 M'yen Mal'caor Hunter Cadre vs SugarlessLlama's admech Shas'ui Kais led the team into the local area, eyes scanning from left to right for enemies. To the North he spotted imperial foces. An admech Sniper being led by what appeared to be the leader. Their leader gave quick burts of static and garble and their forces prepared for the tau. As his two snipers quickly took position the rest of the tau took the initiative and stormed forward. Using the crude large buildings of the Imperials to block their advance. As the force moved forward the admech let out a static burst as a round escaped from their sniper and struck down the gue'vesa john as he moved to position his own sniper. His partner, shas'la Kor'a took the moments before he could reload to move into his own position. The tau after reaching cover prepared to push into the enemy line. The enemy was prepared, having spread themselves out among cover As the tau advanced they met another salvo of fire and returned their own. It was after taking another casualty they knew it was now or never. Multiple tau sprung from behind cover, bellowing "FOR THE GREATER GOOD"!!!!!. They downed 4 enemy and forced the machines to retreat. It was with this time they could tend to their wounded. They found John had suffered a shot to the chest but had struck his head when he landed. His hate for the Imperials who cast him out only grew into a frenzy. The shas'ui realised this hot blooded human would be a danger in the future if the enemy dared show the whites of their eyes to him. The Tau found what the enemy had been searching for. Promethium Caches, these materials must be of some value for a team of admech to have fought so visciously for them. For now they would be stored at the team's hideout until what could be done is decided by the Tau above him. Game Results: Victory for the tau Tau specialist suffered a head injury and gained frenzy tau specialist gained ammo hound skill after having been injured. Tau Shas'ui gained Fast shot skill 3 promethium caches recovered. 100 points spent on Photon grenades for shas'ui new pathfinder with pulse carbine.

Pyre Warden
Thanks for the love and Sounds good, I just got the rulebook today and had to be baby sat through my first match because i haven't played anything like this since mordheim. Rule questions 1)If i buy a new dude can i also buy him new equipment to walk in with? 2)If i have a guy injured or not coming in for a match can i swap his equipment to someone else, as long as they are actually able to use it? WestRider
1) Yeah, if you choose "Recruit", you can buy gear only for whoever you recruit. 2) Also yes. The only restrictions are that you can't give gear to someone who couldn't get it normally (giving a Heavy Weapon to a basic Trooper, for instance), and you can't give anything from an existing fighter to someone you just recruited.
Ish
1) When you add a new fighter(s), you get them and their equipment. See page 100. 2) Yes. Same page.
Pyre Warden
Cool, updated the list, decided on a new recruit cadet so i could squeeze in enough points for a makerlight and carbine on him. Never mind, two drones instead. They increase my weapon range which is super helpful. Plus did the math wrong and had to go back and make sure the list is good. Pyre Warden
Painting update 2: Base armor color done, doesn't look right in the photos but it's more accurate in person. Just have highlights on the armor left for most of the squad and then the skin as well. Looks like i forgot their toes so i'll have to blue those up too. Just started on the two new drones as well. Which also need highlights.

Pyre Warden
That is gue'vesa'la John, loyal gue'la auxiliary to the greater good and the one member who helps his tau brothers better understand the ins and outs of the hive. Head was from bretonian knights set. He will have golden locks of hair.
