When does it drop? Does it count as a "unit in your army" so, if an army is a 2 drop (formation + extra hero) you are now 3 drops? As to the question,yes the terrain piece is part of a players army and goes down as the first drop at deployement,,so for players wanting to have less drops they can forgo the terrain piece altogether..personally I wouldnt though as some pieces can be quite a boon to many army builds.
