imperialjawa Posted June 26, 2014 Report Share Posted June 26, 2014 so this new Ork codex has got me excited to make an Ork army. bad thing was GW they spent 3 weeks not putting out a codex...so I looked around the web for an ork fix. I went to Kromlech and these all came guyz came home with me! I think i understand why people who play orks always play orks...they are fun to collect and build/convert, they seem fun to play with and they dont take themselves to seriously! I think I have found a new passion for the game because of these models. This is thread hopefully going to be an ork project log. Here is what i have so far...hopefully these will ll be usefully when I finally get a codex 1 Warboss with PK 1 boyz squad (7 slugga/choppa boyz, 1 big choppa, 1 rocket and 1 Nob w/PK) 1 killa kans squad (3 kans plus weapons?) 1 deff dread (2 klaws plus 2 magnetized shootas, 2 rockets, 2 other odd guns and 2 more claws) 1 Mek gun squad (5 gunz 15 crew) 1 tinboyz squad (not sure what these guys will be -nobs, flashgitz, or cyborks!) DA BOYZ DA DREAD...this guy is way bigger then I thought he would be! A Mek gun...could be a kannon...could be a lobba...could be so sorta mega kannon! killa kanz and lil'kanz! DA BOSS!!! a IRON ORK boy! So thats the start...I don't have a plan yet I just bought a bunch of models i liked. I will be getting more kromlech.eu stuff cause its greats stuff and i like the idea of german orks it just seems funny to me. I am open to any suggestions...on list building...paint schemes...bits sellers/ alternative ork models...or conversion sites to get awesome ideas from! 5 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

VonVilkee Posted June 27, 2014 Report Share Posted June 27, 2014 For insperation i'd read about the blood axe clan. They were the first to run into humans and started to mimic uniforms and such. They actually drill and use camouflage, back in the day when orks were in their teens they were the responsible ones. Stormboyz were actually very drilled and militaristic, blood axes were slower to grow out of this phase than other orks. You could structure your boyz similar to Astra militarum tactics with an ork flair and it would be cool! Big mobs of shoota boyz, some blasty battlewagons, some kans for support, go fire support and fall back on assault when you fail to out shoot the enemy or they just get to close! Flash gitz but do them German style with machine guns bearly ork portable. The clanking destroyers you have are sadly normal boy ish size most stuff with cybork bodies are Nob sized or bigger. imperialjawa Posted July 1, 2014 Author Report Share Posted July 1, 2014 Ok so I finished up my Killa Kans weapons...I made 2 rocket launchers so all three could be rocket kans and i made an extra grotzooka incase i every wanna use those heres some pics of my first ork conversions :) I'm not sure if I used enough missiles? the missile are is magnetized to make it swap-able with the grotzooka this is a combo grotzooka/rocket launcher...sorry about the poor quality I guess i was a little to close. The missile comes out then its looks like a blunderbuss next up: I ordered about 45 more boyz from kromlech to go with what i have already. That will give me 20 slugga boyz 30 shoota boyz 10 'eavy armor boyz(the clankers: looks like the best use for them) is 60 boys a solid base of troops? I wanna do some halftrack(germanish) trucks for the boyz and figure out a way to do some stormboyz to fit the germanish ww2 theme I welcome to suggestions for the haft-tracks and rocket-packs 3 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Is it too uniform? Im going blood axe so maybe some uniformity is ok? I can get two to three other similar style jetpacks to mix it up a bit...would that help keep it orkish? imperialjawa Posted July 12, 2014 Author Report Share Posted July 12, 2014 So I tried to give these to Boys this perfectly serviceable halftrack They said "Dats weeedy N not fit fer grots let only Ard boyz like US!' then they punched me So I set about to make a ride fit for Ard Boyz wit dem advis'n me First a sweet grill and alittle more armor then some engine tuning with some loud headers(i'm told that 'Louda Iz Betta') More Armor and a Rocket luancher They said they need some "boardin ramps to git da Umies quicka" An up armor rear "cause dos grots R tricksy N boyz sometimes shoot first den look" When I tried to give them some nice armor they punch me and fixed it by smashing it alot All finished and ready for a lick of paint...I think Da Boss approves...at lest he hasn't kicked me today I like it and I can make more pretty quickly plus they are fun to do...understand now why people collect Orks...Its good fun to just build stuff 5 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
