thatdave
I'll start the challenges with a confirmation from Micah that team Shop of Chop does indeed have the stones to pick up the gauntlet thrown down by DaMommasBoyz: Team Nut Punch. First first round matchup! WooHoo!!

Sylvos
Challenge Round will be removed in the next rules pack revision in order to provide an opportunity for the Grudge Match events on Friday where a team may challenge up to 3 other teams in a single day event. This was decided at the last Senate meeting on 1/17 provided there is enough interest in doing so from all the players to come down Friday. As soon as I have Thanquol in hand, I'll have an updated Rules packet for Team and Open events as well as Battle Scenarios.

Sylvos
Alright you filthy animals. This is an event for the community and as a result your input is valuable. Enough of you managed to voice concerns via posting, private messages, emails and other social media applications enough for me to recant my statement about the first challenge round being removed. Challenges, first round. Back in! MEAT'S BACK ON THE MENU BOYS! I just request you wait to issue challenges until we have 16 paid teams and are able to begin our expansion to 20-28 teams if necessary. Ticket's go on sale soon.

McNathanson
I like the challenge round but I also think that pairing by combined Comp will result in better games overall. Sylvos, are you interested in co-developing a matching algorithm? I think that in the (distant) past it has been a big part of creating good matchups round over round. The challenge rounds are fun but can lead to lopsided matches. I suppose we can get away with a voluntary first round mis-match, but it also sets back the matching data off for subsequent rounds (basically puts you behind a round on data collection for subsequent matchups, unless you happen to get a closely-matched Swedish score from the challenge round). Anywho-dellidoo, if you're interested in help on the round-by-round matching front, let me know. If not, no worries whatsoever. Thanks,Nathan
McNathanson
Oh and obviously thatdave, we are ON, but be forewarned we are bringing something like a 15+ average comp so (if your team follows your lead comp-wise) we may have a serious pillow fight on our hands, hah! I have not seen Ian's nor Greg's lists, but I can say that we will have 2 lists in the 18+ range. Ian's might be tougher, but I'm sure Greg will land midrange. Might be pillows with wet mop sidearms.
