Well played sir. Actually, it is the definition in the English language, just not typically used.

WestRider
Bjorn the Fell-handed should have some rule like Celestine where he can get back up again after he's killed. Then he could be Bjorn Again.

WestRider
Most of the time when I see the term “corn-pone”, I misread it as “porn cone”. Which I picture as sort of like the food pyramid, but with vanilla sex at the bottom, then relatively common kinks, and increasingly rare and specialized kinks as it moves up the cone

InfestedKerrigan
I just went looking for a new thread of Pax's that I had read earlier today, but didn't respond to. I am realizing that this event happened while dreaming. Whoops. I guess I should've replied when I had the chance.
WestRider
If I ever get around to picking up an Obelisk for my Thokt Dynasty Necrons, I should take advantage of their colour scheme and paint the bottom half with broad vertical blue and white stripes, so that it's also a Necron Obelix.

WestRider
I'm kind of disappointed that no one at SyFy realized that this Christmas is a full moon in time to put together a Christmas Werewolf movie.
InfestedKerrigan
I went to the LGS today and found that they are running their "Holiday Discount" through New Years Eve. I was excited, as we normally get paid on the 31st and it meant I could pick up that Lord of Skulls or DV for half off. My roommate gets home and informs me that we aren't getting paid until the 4th, because "getting paid on Dec 31st was a (recently passed away CEO) thing, not a (company) thing." The 1st is a Holiday, and then we have the weekend, putting it at Monday the 4th. The 100 people that were expecting and budgeted for the 31st are all going to be disappointed. Really hurts if you are paycheck to paycheck, too. So much for $80 NIB Lord of Skulls
Swan-of-War
That really sucks man. My company is nice enough to pay you on the business day before if pay day hits on a weekend or holiday.
sbr
I have been with my current company for just over 5 years, and I always thought payday was on Wednesday because that is when I always had my direct deposit. There were some people who had paycheck issues on Veteran's Day (Wednesday this year), and the payroll gal sent out an email explaining that there were issues with some banks/credit unions because of the holiday but everything was fine. She also "reminded" everyone that payday is actually Friday and that direct deposit going through 2 days early was a favor to us, not an obligation.
InfestedKerrigan
How can Cicero the Keeper compare Sithis to the "cold of space" in such a primitive society? InfestedKerrigan
Haha! I went in to the game store to pick up some Dice Masters blisters and left with an $80 NIB Lord of Skulls, a $10 NIB Khorne Herald, in addition to the dice.
WestRider
Little-known fact: Jakku actually just means "our world" in one of the common galactic languages. There are actually a ton of planets called Jakku. So many that they were actually just given letter designations. The 26th is particularly noted for its relaxing hot springs. this is total bs, purely for the sake of a terrible pun
