Ordo Bowl Persistent League

General Ordo Blood Bowl Ordances (GOBBO)

INTRODUCTION

The General Ordo Bowl Ordnances (GOBBO) are the rules for the main persistent Ordo Bowl league. There will be no resetting as has been common in years past for Ordo Blood Bowl leagues. This league will continue until either the Commissioner resigns and no new commissioner steps up, or the end of the world (pick your favorite scenario).

LEAGUE RULES

1.  Blood Bowl Rules

        a. The Ordo Bowl League will use the Blood Bowl Competition Rules

        b. For rule clarifications, the league will use the clarifications found on the NAF site.

2. League Fees (subject to change, please keep an eye out)

        a. Coaches will be required to pay $10 per season in order to purchase items for the league. The Commissioner will not be compensated with these funds in any way.

3.  Building a Team

        a. All new teams will be allotted 1 million gold pieces to hire players, coaching staff, etc. as per the Blood Bowl Competition Rules.

        b. The teams available for play in the league include all teams found in the Blood Bowl Competition Rules, the 3 found in The New Teams for Blood Bowl addition, and the Khorne team. Information on the Khorne Team are posted below. Please see the Important Links section and the Extra Team section to find information on all available teams.

        c. If there are multiple divisions, all new teams will start in the lower division.

        d. Coaches are not allowed to hire star players except as an inducement for a particular match. Once the match is over, the star player will move on to be hired by another team.

        e. All coaches will be required to use the Ordo Bowl website to build and track their team’s progression.  If you have any questions on how to properly use the Ordo Bowl site, please contact the Commissioner. Contact information can be found below.

                       i.   Coaches much be signed up both on the Ordo Fanaticus forums and the Ordo Bowl site.

ii.  Coaches will use the SAME screen name on BOTH sites.

        f.  Each coach is allowed to play a maximum of two teams each season.

        g. The commissioner may occasionally create an event to kick-start new teams. Please keep an eye out for these.

        h.  All players on a team's roster must have a unique name.

4.       Playing a League Game

        a.  All league rounds will be scheduled by the commissioner.

        b.  Each round will last 2 weeks. Both coaches are required to complete their match during that two week period. If the match cannot be completed, please contact the Commissioner to try to make arrangements. If arrangements cannot be made, the Commissioner will made the decision as to whether one coach will concede or if the match will be considered a tie.

        c.  If either coach requests that a single set of dice are used for the game, then the coaches will share a single set of dice for the match.

        d.  Illegal Procedure will only be used if both coaches agree. The commissioner may remove this rule and require the rule be used in the top division. A notice will be made and these rules be altered to reflect this if the decision is made.

        e.  All Match results must be entered into the Ordo Bowl site.

                      i.   All upcoming matches can be found by going to Matches>Upcoming Matches

ii.  Click View to enter the match data for your game. You can only enter data when logged in.

iii.  Coaches are required to fill out the match report completely unless otherwise noted. Here are some helpful reminders:

                          1.  Gate = combined fans for both teams

                          2.   Fans = This section is for recording real life spectators and is not required

                          3.   Sportsmanship Points = Not required at this time. May change in the future.

                          4.   Total team CAS = number of casualties caused by each team.

                          5.    IR1 D1 and IR1 D2 = Improvement Roll dice. Coaches MUST record all dice rolls for improvements and put them in these columns.

5.  Play Offs

        a.   Each season will end with a play offs for each division. The number of teams participating in the play offs will be determined on a season by season basis based on the number of players in each division.

       b.  The Play Offs will be a single elimination tournament.

                         i.      Both teams who lost the semi-final game will play for 3rd place.

I claim a team and someone else takes. I know we don't have to diversity. But I'm all for the ensure the blood that is dedicated to Nuffle is rich in diversity. Nuffle's affirmative action. So instead of vampires or elfs. Thank fully there was time to let my low bid lie with elves I have switched and already got shipping notification for my Slann.

I will be leaping either to victory or to a grave this season. I should have them ready for 7s.

Lol no you just pushed me to the team I was too afraid to try but deep down wanted to. Since they are not on bb I can't play test and get a feel but should be interesting.

I agree linemen are 10k too much. Blitzers are priced based on access they should be 10k less too and then that should balance. I'm thinking since I can farm skills from 7s I might be able to start them as mediocre instead of [big bad swear word]ty.

They seem to rely on hot dice.

Most of the teams I've seen have 1 blitzer & that's it. They get all 4 catchers & a krox & the rest lineman. Most of the rolls are 2,3 so don't need the most amazing dice. Pairing diving catch with ag4 pieces is pretty ridiculous. It's a 3+ to dive into a cage as well for the linos so everyone better start spamming guard pieces.

I see the theory behind them but I also see the fragility. As a developed team I see a lot of hope but not much til then. A 1d cage breaker is not all that great especially when you have to take your soft aphimbians and mark with them.

Unless your blitzing jump is str 4 or has at least tackle and wrestle getting the ball out is kind of low.

I need a lot of doubles or stat boosts for my line men.

These guys are not a top tier team, I will likely have the surprise factor as my biggest asset. I am toadly looking froward to playing some green machines.
