generalripphook
Are there any intentional 5 player board games that are out there?
Torg
off the top of my head…. Ticket To Ride Settlers of Catan … with the 5th player expansion Small World Talisman (up to 6 players) - can take hours… older GW board game - great fun I'm sure I am missing lots of others. For my family - it was easiest to get non-euro/ non-geek gamers to play Ticket to Ride - especially if you go for the US map version. -d

generalripphook
Well I understand that there are things like twilight imperium which can play up to 8 can also play 5 players. I am just curious about games that were designed to be played for 5 players. Like Game of Thrones can play 5 but it's intended for 6. What games are intended for 5 players. Bosco
Carcassonne (and its many expansions, an easy intro for non-gamers) Power Grid (can be complex and involved, a bit long too) Tokaido (light and easy)
evil_bryan
Agricola / Caverna Le Havre Terra Mystica Puerto Rico Instabul I would also second Lords of Waterdeep (with expansions) and Eclipse All of these games play great at 5 player
deadwing34
If you do a search on boardgamegeek.com you can sort for games that are a specific player count. I personally am always looking for games that have a min player count of 5. There are a lot of games that only support up to 4 though. https://boardgamegeek.com/advsearch/boardgame

Justjokin
Ok, I've played my first 3 games of Twilight Imperium (3-player) and I am convinced this would be great at 5.

It is, but might be a little long.I think it's best at 8 players.
