barca
In the spirit of what Zeke's originally posted, let's continue the discussion of Enfilade and mid-war armies/lists.
Lord Hanaur
Well the plan for me this year is probably just to play what I own which is PanzerGreanadiers or, as I did before, the Italians. I actually don't own other forces. i had fun playing the Italians at Enfilade but I must confess to feeling considerably less practiced and considerably less wel stocked when it comes to their options. I do have the Stug G Batterie, which is also pretty fun, and much easier to deploy and put away etc... I really enjoyed using the Motorized Rocket Battery at the last tournament. I have had it for a long while and never really gotten to use it in a tournament and very few times without (again limited playing time). One thing I keep thinking about though is that I would maybe be interested in a more "light tank" type of force but I am not really sure what that might look like. The Americans have the Chaffy army which looks like a boatload of fun. It's American which is the downside. On the upside I dont own an allied force. So I mean... As such things go, I can think of things that suck worse. More painting and assembling though. Stomaching that is tough. Lol. Thoughts on a German list that might fit the bill? i own some Honey Stuarts but not a lot (5?). I suppose I could also look to Italians for this but i have no thoughts on that either. Tough. ZeroMoon17
You could try a Panzerspah list, something like: German Panzerspah Mechanised Company, from Eastern Front, page 56Compulsory Panzerspahkompanie HQ (p.57) - CinC Panzer II L Luchs (55 pts)Compulsory Tracked Panzerspah Platoon (p.58) - 2x Command Panzer II L Luchs, 4x Panzer II L Luchs (330 pts)Compulsory Tracked Panzerspah Platoon (p.58) - 2x Command Panzer II L Luchs, 4x Panzer II L Luchs (330 pts)Panzerpionier Platoon (p.55) - Command Pioneer MG, Kfz 15 field car, 6x Pioneer MG, 3x Kfz 70 truck (225 pts)- Replace Command Pioneer MG with Command Pioneer Panzerknacker SMG (5 pts)Tank Hunter Platoon (p.86) - Command Marder III M, 3x Marder III M (345 pts)Armoured Rocket Launcher Battery (p.90) - Command SMG, Kfz 15 field car,, 2x Observer Rifle, 2x Kubelwagen, 6x Panzerwerfer 42 (Maultier) (335 pts)Light Anti-aircraft Platoon (p.89) - Command Sd Kfz 10/5 (2cm), Sd Kfz 10/5 (2cm) (65 pts)- Equip Sd Kfz 10/5 (2cm) with armour (10 pts)1700 Points, 8 Platoons
fingolfen
I'm planning on updating these guys with a few more points - will likely get rolled badly - but I'll look good dying... http://miniordnancerev.blogspot.com/2014/10/502-ready-for-tournament-now-with.html
Lord Hanaur
mm hm. mm hmm. I'm liking where you are going with that. Now here's a question. When I do easyarmy It tells me I have to take three or six Luchs. You listed 4. Which is correct? Here's the link to the list as it is now saved: http://www.easyarmy.com/FOWPrint.aspx?list=89f529a2-dbb2-4a44-9533-71fedaae3041

ZEKE
Played a game with Barca last night. My initial lists seems pretty promising, though the Messerschmitt Bf109 feels a little weak. It can do both Bombs and Cannon but neither is as good as the Stuka or HS129. Will have to play more games to see if this list is weak towards armor or infantry before committing towards a Particular Stuka. Also, this came up during our game and Barca was struggling a little on how to handle Towing guns with trucks. Do you pull them around similar to hitching horses to & caissons to cannons in Napoleonics & Civil War, or do you just put down the truck & pick up the guns like when infantry loads up in halftrack. Then how to deploy the guns & send trucks to rear. If anybody has experience.

ZEKE
When deploying the gun & sending trucks to the rear, is the gun stuck in its dragged position or can you face it in a chosen direction? Also, how does bombardment work on the gun & truck when it is limbered?
ZeroMoon17
When deploying the gun & sending trucks to the rear, is the gun stuck in its dragged position or can you face it in a chosen direction? Also, how does bombardment work on the gun & truck when it is limbered? When you deploy the gun from the truck, you choose which way its facing (as that is part of the unlimbering process). During a bombardment the Truck+Gun count as one target. When making saves you treat the Gun as if were a passenger, so for an unarmored transport when it gets hit everyone riding in the truck has to take a 5+ save or die. In an armored transport you only take a save if your transport dies.

barca
Mid-war arsenal update http://www.flamesofwar.com/Portals/0/Documents/Briefings/Mid-war/Mid-War-Arsenals-V3.pdf Mid-war Schwere Panzer company, Tunisian tigers, Intel briefing http://www.flamesofwar.com/Default.aspx?tabid=53&art_id=1629
fingolfen
The Tunisian list is different than the Eastern Front list... I may have to bite the bullet and get the digital briefing. I've also considered sticking with the stock 3.7cm gun and giving it the upped ammo so I can get a panzerknacker for the Grenadiers... ZeroMoon17
Fingolfen, the point values have not changed since eastern front was released. The only change in the digital version is the updated arsenals that barca posted.

Josh
I made a Kursk themed Pioneer list that I like decently. Has the right mix of flamethrowers, direct fire smoke, large platoon sizes, StuHs (money platoon), and a cheap template. No recon though. barca
That's just begging for a fortified Russian list. Too bad there is no such list in mid-war. Russian Fortified is only in LW. And too bad I'm painting up Hungarians.
