Lord Hanaur
The one thing that is known: sixteen Ambassadors enter the arena—one leaves. That one brings with him a token of great hope that his faction will have the backing of the Great Ones when the Final War begins. Esteemed Ambassadors: The data you will require is found here: http://40kambassadors.com/index.php Rules and clarifications can all be found there, as can the actual Missions you will be facing. All of these should be fully updated by the time registration starts on November 19th. This is one of the most highly funded and supported tournaments in Washington State, as its previous attendees will attest. It is the signature event for the Olympia/Tacoma area and we were able to fill the first bracket within about two hours of the start of registration last year. Therefore we encourage your lordships to be ready to board your starships at the appointed date registration begins. The second bracket was esssentially filled within two days. We anticipate that it will be similar this year. The Arena is unique in that every faction is represented just once by its Ambassadors in each bracket, and you will never battle the same faction twice. Not only does this encourage a truer all comers approach, but we have designed the missions to further encourage balanced forces and to be more akin to normal Warhammer 40,000 than the ITC missions allow while still being unique and challenging. Our primary goal is to see the Codex represented in its full panoply to the extent our supereme Ambassadors are able. Yet this will in fact BE an ITC event and a GT event no less, for those who are aspiring to the highest rankings among your brethren. Take advantage of this opportunity not only to earn your favor with the Great Ones for the Final War, but also to garner the recognition you so richly deserve among your peers. We provide the food necessary, so you are disallowed from swallowing other Ambassadors inbetween matches. Drinks and snacksare all there to keep you energized and hydrated so as to maintain your in game focus. Only the very best efforts will avail you in the arena. We expect no less of you, for the future of your entire races may depend on the outcome... Good luck Ambassadors. Facebook page (not for Registration): https://www.facebook.com/events/1149839168399360/ EDIT: I thought you might enjoy a glimpse into mission one of the tournament. We did a video battle report. I am no expert at such things but the video quality turned out well. Feel free to take a look, as the Grey Knights take on the dreaded Eldar. Lists and such are in the comments section. It was a fun practice game and it was a fight to the very end. http://40kunorthodoxy.blogspot.com/2016/12/6th-elvensword-ambassadorial-grand.html

Talonwinter
Did this just change to you have to have a CAD now? It was you could take two formations but if you toke a third you had to have a cad? Copied from the web site. Armies may be constructed from a maximum of 3 Detachments (as defined in the 40k BRB), one of which must be a Combined Arms Detachment (CAD). Formations are Detachments. Detachments inside a Decurion-style formation are still counted separately. This differs from the normal ITC rules.. Wanting to make sure, as my list will have to change. WestRider
That was how it's been the last couple of years. He's done the other variation for some of his other events, but not Elvensword.

Lord Hanaur
Out of respect for our neighbors up north who hold TSHFT on the 14th and 15th, I have gotten permission from the host shop to change the date to the 28th and 29th.
Edosaurus Rex
Unfortunately, I don't think I'm going to be able to attend this year. Spending a day playing Warhammer is doable, but a whole weekend is just too much time for me to be able to devote in January. Oh well, good luck to everyone who plays! All ITC GT's must be at least five games. Stuffing five in one day would kill most people. Lol.
Talonwinter
It is the getting up to play games at 10am on the second day after drinking the first day victory's or defeats that make the second day so hard. lol
WestRider
Werd. All ITC GT's must be at least five games. Stuffing five in one day would kill most people. Lol. Unless they're 1K. That was doable. And pretty awesome, really.
