Kaoshin
Is this an event that requires a fee and ticket or just bring an army and go?
scottshoemaker
Is this an event that requires a fee and ticket or just bring an army and go? You must have a paid OFCC ticket.
PumpkinHead
Can the Legion of the Damned rule that they need to deep strike be ignored for this event? Do the Leaders get their own table to roll on, like in traditional Kill Team?
scottshoemaker
Deep strike is ignored. Leaders still have their own table. Only the Specialists have been modified for ease of play.

PumpkinHead
Do we get to change our specialists abilities between each game, or once the abilities are chosen we are stuck with them for the entire tournament?
scottshoemaker
Hmm...As this is a friendly they can be changed. Just make sure to note them before the game starts and inform your opponent of the specialists abilities. I'd recommend having extra army lists available to share, and make the note before table sides are chosen.
Edosaurus Rex
This looks fun! I've never really played Kill Team before though, so a quick question or two on list building: Given the Kill Team detachment above, do we have to take minimum unit sizes for those FOC choices? For example, if I am playing KDK and want to bring a CSM squad, am I required to bring the minimum squad size of eight models and just have them all operate separately? Or could I just use one Troops choice on a CSM squad and only take four models from that unit so I then have more points left to use on, say, models from my Elites and Fast Attack choices? Also, if I am not required to take the minimum squad size, am I still allowed to have one model with a special weapon or whatnot in the unit (who will then operate separately)? Thanks!

WestRider
I can't remember, has there been a specific confirmed start time for this? My team is planning on rolling down sometime Friday afternoon, and I want to make sure we leave early enough to make it to this.
scottshoemaker
Schedule wise (this is tentative) We're looking at something like this: Kill Team Round 1: 7:00-7:50 Round 2: 8:00-8:50 Round 3: 9:00-9:50
peter c
Hey, thanks for running this it looks great. Question about possibly playing a Genestealer Cult list in this event: would the Return To Shadows rule be playable? Also, if a unit has the Infiltrate special rule (and thus Outflank) would they utilize the Cult Ambush table for their deployment?
scottshoemaker
I had made a decision... The Friday Night Kill team event will be using the 8th Edition rules, although we will still use the 7th ed Leadership stat for Morale, . Still build your force using Matched Play points using the newest rules for your force. As far as rules tweaks, there will be none at this time and we will address them as they come up during play. This is a non-competitive event, and a such we can make allowances.

PumpkinHead
hhhmmm, ok... that makes life a little interesting. Now to see if I want to bring Purestrain Genestealers, or my legion of the damned... How are you going to limit vehicles now that they don't have armor value?
Gorgosaurusrex
Is the wound limitation going to be changed? Scout Sentinels have 6 wounds and cannot be taken, which makes me sad. Even Company Commanders have 4 wounds in 8th!
scottshoemaker
For this event refer to the old versions of units to determine the limitations, as Kill Team was written for that ruleset.
