Stripping Metal Models with Pine Sol

Hi there...I have been doing some paint stripping lately, so wanted to share with people as it seems the questions still abound how to do it.

Now, this is for METAL models...don't use Pine Sol on plastic or resin, unless you want to melt them.  I guess if you were limited with your time it might work, but why chance it. To this day there is no great way to strip plastic, sorry.  If you have one, please post an article with pics :)

The models I will be stripping are a mix of fully painted and some with just some gray primer on them.  They soaked in the pine sol for about a week.

OK, so here you go...Here is a shot of the minis in the jar of pine sol, I have already dumped some out, but they were all submerged.

Next we see the group in the kitchen sink ready for some clean up.

Next time I do plastics in Simple Green I will take some pictures and log the process.

The big misconception with stripping plastic models not working well is that the actual stripping process tints the plastic.

It still cleans the models details out and after priming they look good as new.
