  1. Hey, I'm wanting to attend game for the first time in a quite a while. I was hoping someone could show me X-wing. (I don't currently own a set) Any volunteers?

    Busy boy

The 15 might be the best whiskey I've ever tasted.
  3. Nice washes. Love to see a complete force when its ready.
  4. I concur with getting out to the countryside. Visit places that weren't built for the explicit purpose of collecting tourist dollars. Not sure if it's your thing but I'd need to spend a day apiece at the Tate and National galleries.
  5. Young Ones http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2693664/ Think John Steinbeck meets Arthur C. Clarke. Really interesting. Check it out.
  6. A horde of drunken sorority girls with rocket launchers sounds about as terrifying as anything I can imagine. I'm picturing tank commanders who are applying lipstick and talking on the phone while driving. Maybe some lap dogs in sweater vests. Someone should do the all 'bro' army as well.
  7. I challenge bacon to a duel!
  8. I'd go with a basic pc. You can get them for next to nothing and they are far more flexible than any of the boxes.
  9. To kick off the fall I'll be having a few people over for snacks and cinema on wednesday the 17th at about seven. Probably start a movie about 8. Consider yourself invited! 3708 P st. Vancouver WA 98663 695 3724 BrickBungalow@gmail.com
  10. I can't be there until 8. Anyone going to stay late?
  11. Have you played any of the dark cloud games?
  12. Just make sure their sanitized of any residue that might rot or compromise the piece over time. I like to soak stuff for a day or two in a bleach solution to kill any lingering dingleberries.
  13. It's great ammunition for when someone is trying to monopolize MY time with a bunch of boring stories. When I smell that endless anecdote about football or grandchildren or marijuana legalization coming on I quickly compose a retort about how grey magic is the superior choice for fast cavalry control of table quarters. This will often save me hours. Do note, however that it can backfire badly when used against a fellow gamer. In that case I recommend changing the subject to girls.
  14. I saw this too. Really happy that unique approaches like this are getting the green light. So many action/sci fi films follow a common formula. It's nice to see a change up.
  15. I can be there around 8 if people want to board game??? Or even just beers.
  16. Minecraft has spoiled me for everything else.
  17. I'll be optimistic and declare that they could not make that model any worse.
  18. The size issue is a concern. I wonder if he could detach from his tentacle harness as if disembarking from a vehicle?
  19. Wednesday or Thursday I'll lunch your bunch!
  20. I have a pin index with bits arranged by size. I eyeball the spot I want to drill and pick a bit erring toward too-small. If its really close you can just agitate a bit to make it bigger. Otherwise move the to the larger bit until the hole is correct. Often, none of your bits will be exactly right. I really love how bored out barrels with bored out vents look. Especially when these are different diameters. Doing this with precision takes practice but it's totally worth it.
  21. Tips and tricks and tutorials are great but mostly its just practice. Especially sculpting. Two things: Pinning: Get an awl or straight steel pick to mark where you want to drill. And get a bit index. Different jobs need different sized holes. Greenstuff: Get something to lubricate your fingers while working. Lots of folks use vaseline. And practice mixing up very small amounts of putty at one time. If you mix too much you will inevitably throw it away since you can't stop the hardening process once it starts.
  22. I can't even imagine what a giant mummified lizard would smell like. Yarghhh.
