  1. Can't wait to hear how it goes. I'm thinking of it as an I survived the term type gift.
  2. I was big fan of X-Com, ran through it a few times. Anyone playing X-Com 2 yet?
  3. Not sure if you are in Portland Metro, but Guardian Games has a pretty decent selection of older stuff. & yes, older pathfinder books are pretty dang expensive. Paizo seems to do a pretty decent job of reprinting old stuff in new books. But adventure path books.... $$$
  4. I played it briefly when the first set came out. I couldn't get in any casual games & at tournaments people played the "gonna win" hotness. So, I'd have to play the same thing to not get stomped. So I didn't play long. Now that there is a lot of dice masters out there, the auto win combos have probably been diluted. I could be cheap if you don't have a completest thing - like I do.
  5. I have almost all of the old Super Dungeon Explorer stuff & my box of new stuff from the kickstarter should in be tomorrow. The new version has two ways to play, arcade / co-op or classic / someone plays the monsters, others play the hero. Let me know if you want to get together and give it a try.
  6. Between now and January 20th, you can pre-order the Exclusive Numenera Boxed Set Edition here: http://www.montecookgames.com/product/limited-time-only-exclusive-numenera-boxed-set-edition/ It's pretty tempting the second time around.
  7. Marcalla, your Numenera game sounds pretty cool. I hadn't noticed The Strange FAQ entry, but that is a good sign! The box set is very tempting! Especially @ $120. I'm going to let it go. As tempting as it is, I don't see myself playing Numenera. BUT, I'm there if / when they do The Strange Box,
  8. The cool thing about The Strange is the ability to turn most settings into a recursion. My group started with the Outbreak Undead System. It was very easy to convert it to The Strange and then have them jump to a different recursion. This book has a bunch of recursion ideas and new foci that I would suspect might translate to Numenera: http://www.rpgnow.com/product/140376/The-Translation-Codex?filters=0_0_45193_0_0 Marcalla, How's your Numenera game going?
  9. I saw that, very tempting! I picked up The Strange and I've been playing that with my regular group. Here's to hoping they do a box set for The Strange.
  10. Big Tal, I'd suspect if that's all I've got, you are not interested? Anyone else, mildly interested?
  11. I have no idea what those are, gotta pick of link or pick?
  12. I came into a fair share of Seditions Wars including stuff from the kickstarter (opened but unassembled). There's 0 chance I'll ever play. I wanted to see if anyone was interested. If so, let me know.
  13. Heads up Jim, your website has that you are out of town until 6/24/2014. Oh, Very impressive terrain.
  14. Thanks for the insight, looking forward to hearing more about your game.
  15. You'll have to report back how it goes, what you think. I thought it looked interesting, I'm interested in seeing how Strange looks. The books look cool enough to pick up just for a good read.
  16. Marcalla, Have you had a chance to play? you GM'ing or playing?
  17. Justjokin, cleared out my PM box and send you a PM. pretre, if he doesn't take the titles & you are still interested, they are yours.
  18. I am in Portland Metro. Looking to sell this stuff locally. Wiling to travel to the usual hot spots, Guardian, Rainy Day, etc. Terrain building & basing stuff - $40(includes insulation foam, hand saw, foam cutter, almost full bottle of flock, half bottle of flock, bit of sand (aka unused kitty litter), misc packs of basing materials, felt, paint brushes, spray glue, paint, etc). And then... there's the terrain from my Sci-Fi phase that never evolved. Pump station: $40 Street Titles: $10 Buildings - The pic shows one of each type. I have 5x5 Base w/ smaller building (2), 5x5 building (5), 4x6 (5), 8x8 (4), 10x12 (1) Asking $300 for all of it.
  19. I just picked this up today. Watched a game at Rainy Day during a tournament. Rainy Day has starters but no boosters.
  20. [sorry, Thread Necro...] Mr. Bigglesworth, I see you are selling your Wild West Exodus. Couldn't find anyone interested in playing? I was on the website and it looked like there were two players in Portland Metro, you might have been one of them. I REALLY shouldn't, but it looks interesting.
  21. I agree, Jay. I still own several Trolls painted by Todd back when he was painting for No Quarter regularly, some of those trolls were also featured in No Quarter. Very high quality. I didn't sell those Trolls when I sold my Troll army because I knew I wouldn't get nearly as much as I wanted. So they are now in the display case.
  22. oh..... I will reconsider the error my ways on the next run through.
  23. I like fighting Exalt because you don't get yelled at for blowing them up! I finished my first run through on the easiest level, I've got a good feel for the game now. When I get some time I'll go through again. In case you haven't come across it: http://xcom.wikia.com/wiki/XCOM_Wiki Some pretty good info in there. I tried the Gene Mods simple to help with fighting off Psi-Attacks / upping will power. Also tried out a Mech trooper for a mission or two. It was OK. Hard to swap out the slot for the heavy. I am going to try the remote vehicles next time I run through.
