  1. Can always have more dakka 🙂 Looks great, love the hat. The green stuff 'bits' are really well done, good job.
  2. Not enough CPs to upgrade? I'll be at GG this Wednesday.
  3. Why is that? You don't play? I don't (yet), still have lots of minis to paint, but maybe when I am done with enough we could do a KIll Team match while our kids D&D.
  4. @Ish Bridget is her name. I am that guy who strolls around looking at the tables where 40k is being played at GG on Wednesdays, or reading a book while she plays D&D.
  5. My daughter attends Wednesday night Adventure League for D&D, and figured it was good way to give back to the store for hosting it, by buying 1-2 every Wednesday. I also think the models are pretty good, and would add some new poses to my collection. Wasn't aware that they are taller than classic marines and shorter than Primaris marines. @paxmiles if you decide to start collecting them, I would be willing to swap duplicates if you are interested.
  6. Anyone have extras: Brother Promethor Brother Captain Thassarius Those are the only 2 out of the 9 I have yet to collect. edit: removed Brother Remus
  7. Nope, just found someone to make the swap with.
  8. I'll send you a private msg.
  9. Zorcon & ThatXboxGuy, do either of you partake in Guardian Games Wednesday WH40k league? If so, let me know and I can bring the beak helmets there for the swap.
  10. I have 14-15 beak helmets.
  11. Thatxboxguy, I am NE Portland, but would be willing to make that drive later this week or weekend.
  12. Zorcon, Not sure offhand, but my guess is 10+. I will count them when I get home from work tonight (Dec 10th). These are still on the sprue, and most are in unopened boxes.
  13. I have some beak style helmets (preferred by Raven Guard) that I would like to swap for non-beak helmets or heads with no helmets for non-beaky helmets. Figured to ask here before I bought them from a bitz site.
  14. Games Workshop on 82nd has 2 x Kill Team starter sets. The one with rule book, admech, genestealers, and terrain. I picked up one yesterday and was told they had 2 left.
  15. @Sgt Rock and any others, For Kill Team, I was thinking about the First Strike box, to get some Primaries Marines and the Kill Team core manual, then for my second round of purchases, Dark Imperium to expand upon my Primaris Marines (and Plague Marines) and to also get the WH40k rule book (bundled). Is this a good idea, or would it be better to get one of the pre-made Kill Team squads (ie: death watch) then the First Strike box? I have a bunch of non-primaris Marines (need to finish painting them), so I was thinking of killing 2 birds with one stone (per se) with Primaries Marines in the 2 box sets I mentioned, initially the Primaris marines in First Strike would allow me to start playing Kill Team, while I finish painting the rest of my non-primaries marines for the larger 40k games.
  16. Sgt Rock, I plan on progressing to larger games of wh40k eventually. I wouldn't buy the Codices & Indices right away.
  17. Thank you to Paxmiles, Ish, Necrontyr for the replies. I have been painting the miniatures as a hobby. I have mostly Space Marines, with some Orks (2 x black reach), was thinking of buying Dark Imperium and First Strike. Kill Team looks interesting, and a shallow end of the pool to try out playing. I was planning my purchases, and didn't know which way to go with Codices over Indices when it comes to priorities. Thank you again for the replies and clarification.
  18. For example: Is there a reason to buy Codex: Space Marines ($50) over Index: Imperium 1 & 2 ($25 /each), basically the same price. Same with Index: Xenos 1 & 2 I haven't compared them in person, but it seems like the Indices offer more data/stats on a broader range of armies, the individual codices offer more pretty pictures and are focused solely on that particular army.
  19. Derek, All My Sons ( http://www.allmysons.com ) is also pretty much always hiring, the manager Andy is a really good dude but he is very strict about certain things. you need to be there no later then 7am to get work that day, I always showed up at 645am. Drivers make more then Lumpers. Might take a few days or even a week of showing up at 645am to make sure you get assigned to a Truck/job regularly. Not sure if you have ever moved furniture before, but usually the first 1-2 weeks is rough while your body gets use to that kind of work. Most people don't make it past the first week, one of the reasons they are always hiring. Also, most jobs tip 10-20$ per mover on average. Usually if you get in with a good crew you can bang out 2 jobs a day. Good luck.
  20. Yeah, you are correct. I must have overlooked that, 1500 years since the HH. Got all excited :)
  21. Moving the timeline along? http://www.blacklibrary.com/the-beast-arises.html
  22. I am a huge fan of Vallejo's primers. Vallejo Game Air Ultramarine Surface Primer Paint, not sure if that is the blue you want, but you can always lighten or darken it with Vallejo's white, gray or black primers. As stated above, and imo an airbrush is an excellent tool for primer and base coating models. There are very inexpensive entry airbrushes, Master is one brand to look into.
