  1. What armies are you interested in starting and maybe I have something?
  2. Hey there, I know these models look cool, but I've heard a lot of people say the new Fiends aren't good in game. I just assembled mine, and I love the sculpts and want any and all bits/sprues I can get for the purpose of converting Spawn, heroes, Demon Princes, etc. I can pay cash but prefer trade and have an extremely extensive trade list going back to items from the 80's. PM me if you have some you're looking to part with.
  3. Is there anything you'd be interested in for trade or is it sales only?
  4. So I have a Keeper of Secrets in Blister that I want to trade for another Keeper of Secrets with a different head. If by the chance of 1 in a million that you happen to have a Keeper of Secrets you'd swap for another one, I'd go there. I realize this is a bit out of left field but it's not every day I see people asking to trade ROC Era Chaos.
  5. Hey Guys, I happen to have had the fortune of knowing two people in Nottingham at the time of the re-release of the original Realm of Chaos Slaves to Darkness book, and I ended up with two of them. Since we live about as far away from Nottingham as one can get, I figured I'd offer one to the PNW community first. I would prefer to trade this book, and we can discuss specifics if you are interested. I'm not going to part with this bad boy easily, but I would like it to find a loving home.
  6. Hey Everyone, I came across a few extra Metal Esher models that I don't need to hold on to and plan on trading. In the spirit of keeping it local I'm going to offer them here first before I offer them to my other groups. The six models in this photo that are not crossed out are available: I am only interested in trading for other Esher models, or Mad Donna and only those Esher models not in this photo. If you want to make a cash offer for all 6 you can do so via PM and I will consider it. *I will be in the Portland area on February 7th in the afternoon to trade if you prefer that, or I can ship.
  7. I'm about to list it on a National page. I will give you priority since you expressed first interest but I'll be posting this list tonight elsewhere and if I get no hits Nationally I'm off to ebay.
  8. Hey Everyone, I am trying to fund a side project and my wife and I are also trying to consolidate space, so i figure I'll offer up a few things to see if there is any interest out there. 9. Which Metal Storm Troopers do you have?
  10. Hey there everyone, I just wanted to say thank you, and to provide you with a link to our blog on Fanaticus where I am going to document our progress as a group. We are still super interested in any terrain donations, or other items, as we had 19 people at our first gaming event. WHOA! Our Project Blog for the Library
  11. Thanks Ordo Fanaticus! Hey Everyone, I have received such amazing support from the Ordo Fanticus community regarding our Tabletop Club that we started at The Dalles Public Library. This club is designed to offer access to tabletop gaming to youth in the community and to use a mentoring process to help teach our area youth about the hobby of tabletop gaming and miniature painting. Prior to me telling Ordo about the project, we had had two interest meetings where we talked about how to paint and worked a little bit on terrain. We had our first game day for our Shadow Wars campaign this last Sunday and we had over 19 people show up to battle for water control and gang supremacy on Logan's World! We had a few youth bring miniatures donated to them by Ordo or local community members and a few other youth come to flirt with the idea of playing. On top of it all, we also received a few amazing donations from Ordo Members, one in the form of a ton of unbuilt models from Purajh and another in the form of a donation to paint our Primaris marines to be Sons of Medusa by member Scarydog (You can see his WIP shot in this blog update). We are so excited for all of this support and for the interest we are getting from our local community. Thanks everyone for reading, and stay tuned for more updates.
  12. Quick bump to see if I can get some more interest. I'm still looking for someone to help me paint the Nurgle army from our boxed set. I appreciate all of the help people have offered us so far. You all have been super amazing to us, I'm really hoping that what we build at our library can become a model for other libraries to follow!
  13. Just an FYI I will be in the Portland area on Monday of this week to drop off our Primaris marines because Scarydog has graciously offered to paint them for us. I'm so excited I can't wait. A few people have asked if they could leave donations at the club house, I'm not sure how to facilitate this but I figured I'd post this update.
  14. To answer WarlordGhrom, yes it would be a tax write off and we will provide receipts.
  15. Hey Everyone, I just wanted to direct any interested forum members to a post about what we are doing at the local Library here in Wasco County. We are seeking help from the community, but even if you're not able to help, maybe you can swing up for a game in The Gorge one day, or put a reservation on one of our Games Workshop books we have available for check out at your local Sage Library. :)
  16. Before I start, I just want to mention that I've ran this buy a moderator prior to posting in order to make sure I wasn't breaking any community rules: I am the Assistant Director for The Dalles-Wasco County Public Library, and we have a ton of exciting stuff going on at the moment. We just opened our new Teen Space which has a Steam Punk interior, and our Teen Librarian won Oregon Librarian of the Year. I was brought on recently to help their technology and am running their Maker Lab. I also was given permission to start using Tabletop Gaming as a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) education tool and have started a Tabletop Gaming club using the Games Workshop Universe (for now). At the end of our fiscal year we were able to buy the 8th Edition reference books, the Shadow Wars rule book, and some Sigmar Books, as well as the Dark Imperium Boxed Set. (Of which, all of the books are in an open circulation throughout the Oregon Sage Library system, so if any of you members want to check out one of our rule books on "library loan" go to your local Sage Library and place a hold. The hope is you can check out an index book to play with rules and army lists before comitting).I am currently looking around to see if anyone out there would be willing to donate terrain, models, or other items that the kidsin our club could use? As you know we work with a mostly poor demographic where most children, over 88%, qualify for free or reduced lunches. We are looking at using the Library as a way to plug some of the holes in the education system here, and our gaming club is turning out to be a good way for us to start focusing on basic math, art, english, and engineering skills. Since wargaming usually has such a high price point for people to get into, we are trying to build an infrastructure that allows for interested kids in the community to participate in a hobby that is typically out of their reach. Any and every donation will help us create a dynamic club where the kids can experience the totality of what the hobby has to offer, and hopefully this will inspire them to experiment with other programing and educational opportunities offered in our library. Since I'm also working on other elements of library, I'm also looking to see if there are any professional miniature painters in the area that may be willing to donate a table top paint job onto our Dark Imperium set? I know this is a huge request, and a total shot in the dark but I figured I would ask. I know this is a far fetched request but the momentum and energy we have at the library is really exciting and we are making huge inroads with the youth here and this gaming club has real promise. Any and every donation no matter how small can be treated as a tax deduction, and we are able to provide a receipt for all donations.Thank you for your time, if you do want to help us with anything feel free to pm me, and if you would like to speak with me personally by phone or email send me a PM and I will provide you with my contact information. Game on everyone!
  17. Thanks everyone. I'll start my post tomorrow after some sleep!
  18. Hey All, I live in The Dalles, a recent transplant back to Oregon after a decade in NY. I am mainly a modeler and painter. I love this forum, and I love the OF community in Portland and how amazingly supportive you all are. I'd like to start a Project Log for my miniatures or a PLOG on here, but focus mainly on painting. I can't seem to find a painting section. Is this even allowed on the forum? Or is it discouraged? Thanks for your answers and pardon my ignorance about the forum in totality. I've done some research, read the rules, but I'm not seeing anything specific.
  19. I would be willing to step forward to facilitate this possibly for the next year.
