splinx
Epic alt figs: http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/6mm-scale-armies-wave-2 Epic Ad-Mech! I feel a lawsuit coming on for these guys! Lol they are totally copying the vendetta / valkyrie's. There is a dakka jet in there, a Crassus armored transport and tons of other GW lookalike 6 mill figures. As they are for epic I wonder if GW will bother? I'm guessing yes as their legal team are pretty quick to jump on potential enforcing menus of their trademarks and copyrights. Great find though! savion47
From the Fantasy forums: First off, not sure if this is ok to post here, so feel free to dispose or move if necessary mods. I believe it is relevant as you will be able to make a custom figure for your general and such. 3d printed custom models with a model designer. The pricing is a bit steep at $20-30 for one, but I think this could easily go down as they get the costs inline. I backed it for one as I love the idea and want to see it come to fruition. I will probably use it to bring my captain morgan back to life, as the old warhammer quest model is a bit steep to cut up. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/heroforge/customizable-3d-printed-tabletop-miniatures

Mach_5
Guild Ball! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1248312770/guild-ball-a-tabletop-medieval-football-game The first sports miniatures game that isn't a board game (it's played on a 3x3 table with terrain!) I'm in for the 2-team early bird myself. While there isn't as much quantity for your $$ as other kickstarters, these guys are actually starting a new game company here and quality looks very high. It sounds like they have some very cool game mechanics and the minis they have shown so far look top notch (metals and high-detail resin teams are available). Check it out! Fools Daily has a series of ~15min interviews with the game designers that I highly recommend giving a listen if you're at all interested. http://malifools.com/daily
jollyork
The Doom That Came to Atlantic City Sorry if this is already somewhere in this gargantuan thread, but I found this a very entertaining parody of Monopoly using Cthluthu, which is always awesome. Romans832
http://www.gamepolitics.com/2013/07/26/doom-came-atlantic-city-backers-will-wait-long-time-refunds Umm. That KS is f'd. The money all disappeared with no product. Uh... do they get to demand refunds? What happens when the company violates the contract? "Lee and I don't know exactly how the money was spent, why the backers were misled, what challenges were faced or what drove the decisions that led to the cancellation of the game," Baker added. "Not only did we not make any money from the game, we have actually lost money; as soon as we learned the true state of affairs, we engaged a lawyer to compel The Forking Path to come forward to the backers and to honor its pledge to issue refunds. Baker and Moyer will continue to make a print-and-play version of the game, though Baker notes that players will have to use their own "cardstock and paper, and we can't produce the amazing miniatures sculpted by Paul Komoda." But the worst part of the story is that Chevalier promises to "eventually refund everyone fully." Eventually. That is because the terms of service on Kickstarter stipulate a repayment if a project is cancelled. As for legal action against Chevalier, he doesn't seem all that worried because, he notes that "you can't draw blood from a stone." You know what else you can't get from a stone? Answers. Chevalier promises a future update on the Kickstarter page to explain in detail what happened with the project.
dashneeb
Well, there's not a ton. I believe the article says that they have to return the money, however, this guy in my opinion essentially raised the money to move. It's been a pretty interesting thing, but kickstarter does warn you specifically in several areas that you have to actually be careful of who you back. Making a game isn't quite just as easy as "I have an idea." Sad but there's a lot more to it.
intrizic
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/coolminiornot/arcadia-quest looks fun, but I'll probably pick it up from the FLGS after the release.
