Tanksgiving - TeamYankee event - @OregonCityGeeksGames Nov 18

I know there is a bunch of people that have wanted to try Team-Yankee or just haven't been able to get enough stuff to do something with it so I created this event with the Idea of us players that have plenty of stuff to help those that want to try Team-Yankee, or New, or Slow at collecting

What: Team-Yankee Team event - tournament style - 3 rounds.

When: November 18, 2017 (start time coming later)

Where: Oregon City Geeks & Games, Oregon City, OR, on Beavercreek Rd.

Cost: $12 per person.

WHO: Looking for up to 10 Veteran players and up to 10 Recruits.

Veteran players are those with at least 120pt armies that they can split to roughly 70/50 (+- 5 pts either way just so the total does not exceed 120).  So that also means a 2-force army such as Leopard1 company and Marder company. Veteran player uses the 70pt portion while letting the Recruit use the 50pt portion. If someone needs help being a Veteran, I have my West Germans available as back-up.

Each round, there will be a different pairing of team-mates, 1 Veteran & 1 Recruit. The Veteran will use the 70 pt force while the recruit that he is currently teamed up with will use the 50 pt force. Veterans, your score will be your teams game score such as 4-3, or 5-2. Recruits will get the chance of playing with a different army each round and your scores will be seperate from the Veterans score. Recruits get 1 point for each opponent platoon that they finish off destroying.  So, the Veteran is responsible for controling the game mission and the Recruits just need to kill stuff.

Prizes will be separate between Vets & Recruits. I am aiming for these categories along with door-prizes and if enough are interested in some type of best painted.

Best Veteran (highest score among the veteran players) I will have come up with something good here as thanks to letting others play with your toys.

Best Recruit (highest score among the recruit players)

Favorite Veteran (voted by the recruits)  I will have come up with something good here as thanks to letting others play with your toys.

Favorite Recruit (voted by the Veterans)

I'm a distant maybe. My girlfriend wants to go to New Orleans for Halloween when she's done with her firefighting season. Maybe I can talk her into Portland instead.

To help that conversation, I found some links for Halloween in PDX:

24 events (so far) listed here: https://www.events12.com/portland/october/

We'll see...she can be a bit stubborn, especially since by the time she gets back she'll have a full season as a R5 Hotshot under her belt (she's out of Roseburg, left me in squalor in Humboldt). She wears the pants now...

If we can commit I might be able to bring 50 points of painted West Germans. I like playing with my own stuff.

It's now just 9 days away. Get your stuff together! Don't be afraid to bring extra stuff. If all you have is just a little bit, bring that too we can put stuff together.

Don't forget this is at Oregon City Geeks and Games Saturday 18th. That's the next Saturday after this weekend.

If you have terrain for a table let me know or just bring it. I have 5 tables reserved and would need help with at least 2 of them.

I can't wait to see everybody playing different armies and having fun. And yes my paint brushes have been working again this year for my 2nd annual tanksgiving.
