Hard to say without having played yet and only having the core box. It looks like it has a lot of potential. The deckbuilding mechanic is cool and it's objective focus is appealing instead of a straight up kill fest though Khorne has objectives oriented to killing. The 30-45 minute playtime is appealing as well. And it gives me an excuse to get some cool AoS models without feeling dirty for possessing them. I'm excited to give it a shot. Probably get the orcs and undead when they come out in a week or 2 to see what options their cards offer up to other factions. Plus the undead crew looks gorgeous.

I got a game in against Brendan and liked it quite a bit! It played quick and action-packed despite us having to do some rules lookup throughout. The interplay between your activations and the various power cards is pretty interesting and the combat is definitely unforgiving. Overcommitting can cost you heavily and once you start upgrading your fighters, they can get very deadly. At the end of the game I had a guy that could charge 5 hexes through his allies' spaces, essentially hit on a 3+ with 2 attacks, and one-shot any of Brendan's dudes with them only having essentially a 6+ chance to defend a single hit.
