Here's a sneak peak at what this years dice might look like.

For those who may not know, last year we became a GT.  We provided snacks, drinks, full on Teriyaki lunches, complimentary Gyoza, massive prize support including free tournament dice, and Raffles; and of course the prizes for placing which were $1000 on their own.

Interesting firsts happened during this festival of Warhammering.  The most notable:

1.  For one of our Bracket winners, Nathan Billings, it was his FIRST TIME even winning a tournament!

2.  We also saw the manifestation here on the Prime Material Plane of the River Styx, of which there are pictures on the Facebook page in a match between Shaylynn Allen and Lars White.

3.  We had our very first sighting at our tournament of Joshua Death, who is renowned in the ITC.  He came all the way from South Dakota to participate.  So our first South Dakotan!  He now hangs out in Washington.  Probably because of us?  Of course!

4.  This also marked the very first time we separated from our typical bracketing structure to include a seeding round ,wherein each race had to look in the mirror and face themselves before venturing fully into the Elvensword Arena!

5.  This was also the very first time that a Tau Empire force took an Elvensword Ambassadorial bracket!  The Tau Empire fought for it but lost in the 3rd Elvensword Ambassadorial Tournament.  Since then the T'au Empire hadn't even made the Final Four.

6.  Not only that but this also marked the first time a Dark Eldar made it into the Final Four!

6. This was the first time an onsite masseuse was made available to the players, and we absolutely foresee this happening again at the Ambassadorial events.

Both winning brackets can be found on the "6th Annual" Tab:  http://40kambassadors.com/coverage.php

You will pay with Paypal as in all previous years and we are not certain of the date but that will be announced.  As before, the Registration announcement will come first, so that it is fair and everyone has a chance to get the faction of their choosing.

As has happened every single year...  People will be poised with their fingers on the trigger to get registered, so make sure to watch for those announcements!  We once had 14 register in the first five minutes!  That was pretty cool, but it underscores my point about registering early.  It felt like trying to get PAX tickets or something, only a LOT less room than PAX!

News will be posted here!

However the better location for news on this is found on our website.  Over the coming short period of time we will be converting the website over to a new and more useable format but much of the information has been updated, as of today, for you to tour the site.

http://40kambassadors.com/index.php

The Website has an introduction where the time and location as well as prices will be posted.  As always, those who register early get a bit of a price break.  Registering early also ensures you are able to represent the armed entourage you had your heart set upon representing.

Feel free to take a look at the tournament rules, the Missions (which you can start immediately practicing) information on prizes, previous Ambassadorial forces and the winners among them through the years.  Much of it is there for the viewing.

Enjoy it as we start to prepare the shuttles for your arrival.

Aren't you running the tournament? Wouldn't you be the one I need to ask if there is alcohol allowed?

Yes, but Its unlikely that the Game Matrix will allow it.  We are still their guests and its a family store.  It is fairly rare for stores to allow it, honestly, but that's not news to anyone I suppose.  I can look into it though.

Portland players are kind of spoiled almost all our stores sell beer. Lol

Well there are plenty of watering holes for the Ambassador to attend after the beatings have been meted out on day one.  It is Tacoma after all.

Maybe i should call around and reserve a room for our players for the after party.  There is this fantastic place called the AFK Tavern (yes that reference) in Everett which is a gaming-centric geek bar.  its unfortunately an hour north of the Game Matrix but its pretty cool if you are coming from that direction.

Lots of others exist though.

We have about an hour left of Day One registration, but it looks like we have 16 who signed up the first day. Not too bad. That is a new record. Last record was 14. So yahoo. Thanks to everyone who registered thus far. Spread the word. One of the most interesting (and potentially exciting) things is that even though half the slots are filled, only 4 Factions are completely full which means we're seeing much more variety early. That's a testament somewhat to 8th Edition and how many more forces are totally playable. People aren't just excited about one or two. Anywho, just wanted to thank everyone for their great support and I hope this year is a blast for all of you.
