Psilence
From the finished dread pics above: GW followed through on their commitment to include the name of a young SW fan in the codex who had succumbed to cancer. A nice move by them. 4
Psilence
Just a little update: I’ve been able to do a little work on the transports, and was pleasantly surprised in a game the other evening by their performance. Just having a mobile wall(s) tooling around for the other boys to advance behind before pouncing was very useful. 3
Psilence
Having finished some significant armor I’m rewarding myself with some jump infantry. I had a ton of misc wolf models, with a large batch of old metal jump packs. Keeping with working into my existing collection I decided to combo the two. Skyclaws here we come 🙂 Along with this roudy mob I’m adding in some wolf priest action, to keep the ‘claws’ pointed in the right direction. Also, I’ll add in a few jump rune priests, for some added stormy punch. Should be fun.
Psilence
Just some quick progress on the priest. 4
WestRider
That looks awesome! Not sure I recognize the base Model, tho. Is it the version of Ahriman from Burning of Prospero?

Is it the version of Ahriman from Burning of Prospero? He’s the red scorpion Forge World librarian, Sevrin Loth. The shoulder pads are Burning of Prospero, and the axe is third party (spell crow) from guardian games. I’m pretty pleased so far.

This choked me up a bit. 1

Many members assembled/painted/shipped packs of wolves for his Great Company to Brand while he was in the hospital. Its one of the examples of how good our community can be.
Psilence
Paint is complete on the priest. Cork base to follow. He was fun to work on, and reminds me stat wise of an old blood angel librarian from 3rd/4th ed. With the fight last relic + his powers he should be Hel on the table. The axe is iffy up close, but looks pretty spiffy from table top ranges. 3
Psilence
I had a few minutes to work on some sky claws. I decided to work on them in finishable batches instead of trying to churn through the whole lot and getting discouraged. Base coats and wash done, I’ll move on to dry brushes and highlights next. I tried to use more of the young ‘crazy space wolf’ heads, rather than the ‘old man’ grey hunter’y ones, to convey their blood claw status. I’m actually really happy with the flock of seagulls mow hawk (which I normally dislike). 2
Psilence
Just a little update. Just need to hit the white edge highlights. I also started in on another side project. 1
WestRider
Nice! Those panels from Bjorn fit on there really well. Cool work on the claw, too!
Psilence
Wait, what was that? Oh no. HONEY! CALL THE COPS, the Fenrisians are back... So it’s been a bit since I visited, life has been busy. Might as well dive back in though 🙂, and right where I left off. I spent a few minutes this evening watching John Carpenter’s The Thing (one of my old favorites, also snow themed) and painting more of the sky claws. Still working primary colors, but wanted to post to keep momentum. More to come.
WestRider
You don't need to call the cops, just get the hose 😉 Those are looking pretty good so far. Just a little bit of a weird moment getting my brain to register the more realistically scaled axes properly.
Ish
Those are the rare, but greatly feared, Fenrisian Throwing Axes. If you hear the leader of the pack speak the ancient rune-word of power — “Fetch!” — it is suggested that you duck.
