Guest Posted February 11, 2018 Report Share Posted February 11, 2018 Double checking, if units are deployed outside of 9" from enemy models, what is the minimum distance required for a successful charge (without them moving in the movement phase)? I've been playing, and having it played against me, that deploying just outside of 9" means you need a 9" charge to successfully. It was suggested to me recently that being outside of 9" means that 9.00001" is the distance apart, so this means a 10" charge to reach base contact (which is required for a successful charge). If you roll an 8 for a charge you will be 1.00001 inches away from the unit charged and will fail the charge. The key point is that you have to Deploy more than 9" away, so on an 8" Charge roll, you will still be more than 1" away, which is a failed Charge.
