Dark Trainer
Ok, I had a thread many years ago, but have since lost it. The challenge is to help me build a playlist of songs that represent 40k armies. Here's some of the ones I remember. Post your suggestions below, can be some or all. I'll update the thread for a while with your input. Feel free to point out any that you feel deserve their own line (like Blood Angels, etc) and I'll add them to the list. Let the noise marine battle, begin! Chaos Space Marines: Black Legion: Chaos Daemons: Khorne Daemons: Raining Blood by Slayer Dark Eldar: Craftworld Eldar: Veteran of the Psychic Wars by Blue Oyster Cult Eldar Harlequins: Killer Klowns from Outer Space by The Dickies Necrons: Immortality by Pearl Jam Orks: Tau Empire: Tyranids: Genestealer Cults: Space Marines: Indestructible by Disturbed Space Wolves: Immigrant Song by Led Zeppelin Custodes: The Vengeful One by Disturbed Imperial Guard: Disposable Heroes by Metallica Traitor Guard: Heretic by Avenged Sevenfold Inquisition: Burning Heretics by Apoptygma Berzerk Sisters of Battle: Joan by Heather Dale Imperial Knights: I Stand Alone by Godsmack Adeptus Mechanicus: P.S. Try to gather up your thoughts and do one large post, rather than many smaller ones? Easier to sort through.

andozane
I feel there should be a rule that no artist should be repeated...

Since I get to play judge, jury, and executioner...if the song fits, i feel that's ok to repeat an artist. Some artists were just meant to play 40k. I do challenge you though to find alternatives that would topple the ones listed. I'm always happy to tear down a listing if a better one is found. Guest
Either for Imperial Guard, Custodes, or general Space marines: Horst Wessel Lied. Had to look it up to figure out what it was called, but it's the national anteme for nazi germany. And the imperium is definitely deserving of that... https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horst-Wessel-Lied
Guest
Might be too mellow, but Court of the Crimson King is what I'd use for my Khorne CSM. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Court_of_the_crimson_king But, I really like that album and that's the army I play, so some bias there. WestRider
In more or less random order: IG: Disposable Heroes by Metallica Death Guard/Nurgle: Blessed are the Sick or Cleansed in Pestilence by Morbid Angel CSM in general: Brotherhood of Man by Motörhead Necrons: Metal Gods by Judas Priest Daemons: Demonium by Immortal Khorne: Raining Blood by Slayer Slaanesh/Tzeentch/Khorne respectively: the three verses of Orgasmatron by Motörhead SW: Immigrant Song by Led Zeppelin Black Legion: Tyrants by Immortal Inquisition: Master of Puppets is actually about cocaine, so that's more DoomRider's theme song. I'd go with The Watcher by Motörhead or Inquisition Symphony by Sepultura Tyranids: Some kind of super creepy dark ambient stuff. Something by Zoat Aon or Dirty Knobs, or seriously slowed-down dial-up modem tones Dark Eldar: Tormentor by Slayer

SigurdBC
Imperial Knights: I Stand Alone by Godsmack It could work for Space Marines/Space Wolves, but the notion of a single Knight holding back an entire army of Orks, Chaos, etc. fits more with the song imo 1

Only because the song is right, but the artist name is exactly what the Knights are...machine God's smacking orks ... 1
