Warhound. Reaver. Warlord. These are names that mean something special to Warhammer fans – the iconic god-machines that most of us, on some level, would love to own one day. Titans are the most eye-catching and impressive models in Warhammer 40,000 – seeing one in person is an inspiring experience. Which is why we’re incredibly excited to announce that a new, full-sized Titan is marching to war. Meet the Warbringer:

The Warbringer Nemesis Titan is a new class of god-machine armed with an artillery piece capable of transforming your chosen grid coordinates into a white-hot crater. This massive engine of destruction has been designed to look right at home alongside its brethren. It is our most detailed yet, with a crewed upper deck featuring a spotter, a loader and a massive, revolver-style loading mechanism for the main gun:

The Warbringer will be available very soon – subscribe to the Forge World newsletter, and we’ll email you when you can buy your own.

Wow. I mostly really like that knight, but I absolutely hate the infantry mounted on the exterior of the titan. Bugs me for the same reason the exposed crew on that TAU Stormsurge.

Still, pretty easy to fix. And that cannon looks really cool.

You realize there are void shields

protecting them though?

A New Class of Titan

FWPreview-Header.jpg

One of the biggest things – literally – to come out of this weekend’s Vigilus Open Day was word of a new Imperial Titan for Warhammer 40,000! You guys have been clamouring for a closer look at this behemoth of a model, so let’s explore what it has to offer.

FWPreview-Nov26-WarbringerTitanSpin1yvr.

The Warbringer Nemesis Titan is a dedicated Titan hunter, sporting a truly immense quake cannon designed to take down enemy god-machines at range. Used during the Great Crusade against various Titan-scale xenos constructs, the Warbringer Nemesis came into its own during the Horus Heresy, as Titan war became commonplace.

Sitting between the Warlord and Reaver in size, the Warbringer Nemesis Titan model shares many design features with its brethren. Its thicker frontal armour marks it out as a very different beast, though. In addition, it boasts a host of anti-air weapons designed to fend off aerial assaults against the Titan while it lines up a kill shot with its quake cannon.

The model is packed with detail, from an officer and servitor on the upper gun decks to an intricate loading mechanism, defence batteries, individual void shield projectors and much more.

Alongside the new Titan are a range of Battle Titan arm weapons, designed to fit both the Warbringer and Reaver Titan bodies. Either Titan can use any two of these weapons in any combination. You’ll be able to pick up four different arm weapons when the Warbringer launches – laser blaster, gatling blaster, volcano cannon and melta cannon.

The Warbringer Nemesis Titan and weapon arms will be coming soon – if you’re looking for a new god-machine for your collection this Christmas, you’ll be in luck. In the meantime, check out the existing range from Forge World, including the awesome Warlord Titan Builder that lets you see how your Titan will look with various weapon and head options.

I love the black marble effect on the face grille there. I can kinda see why they went with this kind of Titan rather than attempting to make the Imperator. Plus I approve the introduction of more weapon options for the Reaver.

I keep thinking it could have been a Warlord variant. Just re-structure the top portion with the Void Shield Generators and Carapace Weapon Hardpoints. Totally agree on adding more options for Reavers, tho.

Also, the Emperor-class is going to suffer from Mantasicness. Not enough people with 3500 disposable to pick one up.

Imperator-class Titans are also something close to 54 meters tall in-universe. That’d mean the model would have to be approximately four feet tall in WH40k... and given the width of the cathedral on its back. Yowza!

That’s not a model you game with, that’s the terrain you game on!

I like that idea. Make a terrain table that represents a battle atop one of those titans.

Always wanted to build it... I figure a couple of Macro Cannons for the shoulder weapon implacments, a bit of PVC plumbing pipe and gubbinz for the central battery, a modified paintball mask (and some LEDs) for the head, and a metric ton of Sanctum Imperialis terrain sets... You could build a pretty nice “ruined” Imperator-class Titan as a 3’ D x 4’  W x 3’ H table.

I just need about $1,000 and a couple month’s time.

I also always thought it might be cool to do a big tower or two (something like 16x16" base area) and maybe a foot or 18" tall that would be the legs, with doors for it to deploy its close support Infantry and such. The Imperator would have no direct impact on the 40K game you're fighting (OK, maybe give it a few Heavy Bolters, like Bastions have), but whether or not you managed to swarm past the defenders and sabotage it would have an effect on an ongoing campaign.

The Imperial Bastions would actually make a pretty could base to build the legs out of... You’d need to make them “double wide,” add some bling, and scratch-build the “toes.”

Ahh, if only those PowerBall people would stop giving the prize to other people.

It’s a packed week of Forge World releases, with new miniatures ranging from the very, very big to the very, very bloody. So let’s jump in and see what we’ve got.

The brand-new war machine of the Legio Titanicus that we previewed earlier in the week is now available to pre-order! The Warbringer Nemesis Titan is a colossal god-machine designed as an enemy Titan-killer – and you can add it to your Horus Heresy forces now. Want to see what it’ll do on the battlefield? Check out the rules here. You might want to be sitting down – it’s such a monster that its rules might knock the wind from you!

The new Titan comes as three separate resin kits – the Warbringer Nemesis Titan Body, Mars-Alpha Pattern Warbringer Titan Head and the immense carapace-mounted Warbringer Titan Quake Cannon – along with no fewer than four options for weapon arms. These resin weapon kits – the Battle Titan Laser Blaster, Battle Titan Volcano Cannon, Battle Titan Gatling Blaster and Battle Titan Melta Cannon – are also compatible with the Reaver Titan.

You can pre-order all of this new titanic goodness now – but while this is undoubtedly the biggest release of the week (in physical size, that is), it’s far from all that’s out now – because the Blood Angels are back.

You want heroes and vehicles for the sons of Sanguinius? You got ’em, headed up by a Blood Angels Legion Praetor. This mighty hero – who could be a Chapter Master, senior captain or some other high-ranking member of the Legion – is striding forward into battle, cloak flapping, a two-handed blade of perdition (think a power sword but with more fire) gripped tight and ready to swing. His armour is as ornately detailed as you’d expect from the aesthetes of the Blood Angels, and he looks every inch the leader he is.

Prefer your Praetors heavily armoured? Try the Blood Angels Legion Praetor in Tartaros Terminator Armour. Heroically sweeping around, firing his combi-bolter while preparing to strike with his blade of perdition, this hero is perfect for leading a teleport assault or heading into the thick of battle where the extra protection afforded by his lavishly decorated armour will be crucial.

FWReleases-Nov30-BloodAngelsLegionPraeto

If your Praetors do fall in battle, they may be entombed within a Dreadnought – and there are now two Blood Angels-specific war machines available to them. The Blood Angels Legion Contemptor Dreadnought and Blood Angels Legion Leviathan Pattern Siege Dreadnought are both towering models adorned with the sigils of the IX Legion.

Both Dreadnoughts are multipart resin kits and require weapon arms (a wide range of which are available separately) to get them ready for battle. Either of them will add a potent mix of heavy firepower and devastating close-combat ability to your Blood Angels Legion.

The last of this week’s Forge World releases are also usable by Blood Angels forces, as well as any other Space Marine army from the Age of Darkness. The Space Marine Legion Vigilator and Space Marine Legion Praevian are both Consul options – specialist HQ choices who provide additional tactical options and new ways to play your army.

The Vigilator is a recon specialist and sniper rifle-armed marksman. He either operates alone to target and take out high-value enemies, or leads a recon detachment, striking at their foes’ most vulnerable points with sabotage and assassination.

The Praevian is quite different – a Mars-trained acolyte of the Mechanicum as well as a Space Marine, he is the keeper of the Legion’s bound battle-automata, and allows you to add a unit of either Castellax or Vorax robots to your army, bringing a whole new kind of killing power to your force.

You can pre-order all of these new resin miniatures now – which ones will be you be adding to your collection
