I bought the Prusa i3 Mk3

Hey Bryan, when you ordered this ... what was the rough shipping cost for the kit?  I am about 2/3 of my way selling stuff to fund this... just thinking of how much buffer budget I'll need to think on lol.  Also, how are you liking this printer.  As I said before this one I keep coming back to on my research... I think the NOVICE USER aspect would be good for me - (aging brain) - and the kit will allow me to really understand it better when things go awry.

- Your thoughts will be appreciated.

The cost to ship the kit was ~$50, but I think it is double that to ship the assembled machine.

Ok - only a couple hundred away from my goal to get a 3D printer.  In a week I will be there (based on current eBay bids for sale I will be there by sunday).  Anyhow,  O'Bacon master - how are you enjoying your Prusa over a 3 months or so in working with it?

Looks great! I have an Mk3 and love it.

what filament brand are you using? I am/was using Hatchbox, but ten pack discounted bundle no longer available on amazon.

Also have you done much for gap filling? I have defaulted to using a coat of modge lodge brushed on...then pre. I tried some two part epoxy from smooth on and was not impressed to messy and easy to over coat.

Okay, time for a massive update!

First, I did print a ton of barrels for scatter terrain

Next, I decided this table would be more manageable as a whole if I built six 2x2 tiles. So I began the process of assembling and arranging everything printed to date.

Here is Tile #1 (each tile has two images):

Here is Tile #2:

Tile #4

Tile #5:

The final tile is still in process (I am reworking the pipe tile), but here is a shot of the everything done to date.

FYI - Pete is in the shot for scale purposes only, I did not print him. 🙂
