Infil-Traitors OFCC 2019 Team Thread

Recommended Posts

OK, pretty sure this is final. Just made the tweaks I mentioned below, and also realized that Inexorable Advance means that Reaper Autocannon aren't awful for Blightlords.

180 - Daemon Prince of Nurgle, Wings, 2xTalons (9) (The Withering Contagion - Counts As Suppurating Plate, Miasma of Pestilence)
083 - Chaos Lord of Nurgle, PowerFist, Bolt Pistol (5) (Warlord, Arch Contaminator)
146 - 7 Plague Marines, 2 Plasmaguns, Champ w/Plasmagun, Plaguesword (10)
144 - 7 Plague Marines, 2 Blight Launchers, Champ w/Plasmagun, Plaguesword (10)
149 - 7 Plague Marines, 2 Meltaguns, Champ w/PowerFist (10)

348 - 7 Blightlord Terminators, Flail of Corruption, 5 Baleswords, Bubotic Axe, Reaper Autocannon, 5 Combi-Plasmas (27)

426 - 3xBlight Hauler, Missile Launcher, Multi-Melta, Bile Spurt (21)

180 - Auto/Las Predator (9)
158 - Dakka Predator, Havoc Launcher, Combi-Bolter (9)
186 - Auto/Las Predator, Havoc Launcher (9)

2000 Points, 8 CP, 119 PL

We're all still messing around with lists, but I figured that since mine is starting to come together to where I like it, I'd kick off the Team Thread. I'm planning on bringing Nurgle this year, and looking at something like the following at the moment:

180 - Daemon Prince of Nurgle, Wings, 2xTalons (9)
083 - Chaos Lord of Nurgle, PowerFist, Bolt Pistol (5)
146 - 7 Plague Marines, 2 Plasmaguns, Champ w/Plasmagun, Plaguesword (10)
144 - 7 Plague Marines, 2 Blight Launchers, Champ w/Plasmagun, Plaguesword (10)
149 - 7 Plague Marines, 2 Meltaguns, Champ w/PowerFist (10)

349 - 7 Blightlord Terminators, Flail of Corruption, 6 Baleswords, Blight Launcher, 5 Combi-Plasmas (27)

426 - 3xBlight Hauler, Missile Launcher, Multi-Melta, Bile Spurt (21)

180 - Auto/Las Predator (9)
158 - Dakka Predator, Havoc Launcher, Combi-Bolter (9)
180 - Auto/Las Predator (9)

1995 Points, 8 CP, 119 PL

Probably going to go with the Chaos Lord as Warlord, with Arch-Contaminator. Suppurating Plate on the Daemon Prince and/or Fugaris’s Helm for the Chaos Lord for Relic(s). I’m thinking Miasma of Pestilence for the Daemon Prince’s Psychic Power, but maybe Putrescent Vitality. Probably going to spend the last 5 Points on a Plasma Pistol for the Chaos Lord, but might also change one Balesword to a Bubotic Axe and then add Combi-Bolters to the Chaos Lord and the other two Predators, or a Havoc Launcher to one more Predator.

This is my finalized list for OFCC. Still gotta paint the land raider crusader and Belial but the rest of the army is done and okay looking. Ill share better pics as I progress.

Belial has heard there Fallen nearby and will do anything to get his hands on an informant. His CP from the Vanguard will be spent on Hunt the Fallen for some Lore funness. I Like this composition so far in testing. The Deathwing cant wait to drop in and share the holy word of bolter fire! Bringing to bear a remarkable 31 marines in Terminator armor.

Hello everyone.

Your army and list look great Nathaniel!

I'm all paid up and here is my final list and some pictures of my 2019 OFCC list. I'm sad that I couldn't work in my Bezerkers and Marauders. 😞 But I'm happy that I get to use 100 Mutant Rabble and Militia along with 4 Daemon Engines! 🙂

• 2000 pts, Reid Gustafson
• Renegades & Heretics Battalion
• Night Lords Chaos Marine Battalion

Warband Origins: Long ago there was a noble family, the house of Nightfall. They lived in an age of peace and stability established by their world's ruler. Their ruler was Konrad Curze, the fair and just lord of the garden planet Nostramo. And then one day, a corrupt and weak emperor sent an assassin to slay the Lord Curze. The vile assassin succeeded. The emperor then destroyed the paradise that was Nostramo. House Nightfall managed to escape. But since that day they have never forgotten. Vengeance upon the emperor will be theirs!

Hello everyone,

I'll definitely be bringing Chaos:
1. Some flavor of Chaos Marines with at one sorcerer for Warp Time and at least 3 Daemon Engines (Mary the Maulerfiend, Deffy the Defiler, and probably BloodLady the Bloodslaughterer). I've really been enjoying daemon engines lately.
2. Some flavor of Renegades and Heretics with at least 3 Marauder Squads (Madame Voodoo's 9th Squad, Charles 10th Squad, and The Abomination's 11th Squad).

But it's too soon to say what else I'll bring.

Here is a photo of my Marauders tearing apart Assault Terminators last month. 🙂

In unfortunate, but understandable, news, Ahzek_Ahriman has found that having a less than one year old child around is not compatible with making it to OFCC. He will hopefully return in future years, but for 2019, we have a slot open if someone's looking for a team. We got the 4 Chaos Gods theme out of the way last year, so Faction doesn't really matter, but being chill and more into the pleasure of the play than the thrill of victory does matter.

So here is what I'm thinking as a possible OFCC list:

• Warband Origins
One day long ago there was a lowly Adeptus Mechanicus enginseer on Mars by the name of  Techpriest Hoth. While he was a loyal Imperial citizen, he did secretly object to some of the Imperium's more fascist tendencies. Then one day he came across a piece of paper written in unholy script. For some reason, Hoth could read it. He spoke the word "Azrath" aloud. Suddenly a horned daemon appeared and whispered promises of freedom and power. Hoth's journey upon the Dark Path had begun.

NIGHT LORDS CSM BATTALION [889]

HQ
• Dark Techmagus Hoth, Chaos Warpsmith, power axe, meltagun, flamer
• Valkia the Bloody, Chaos Sorcerer, Mark of Tzeench, jumppack, force sword
Warpsmith Hoth teamed his Night Lords up with Dnegrah's Renegades & Heretics because he received a vision from the Dark Omnissiah. In the vision he joined with the Chaos Militia to consecrate dozens of Imperium-held worlds in blood. Sorceress Valkia aids Hoth because she is well paid in human sacrifices and tomes of power.

TROOPS
• Jarvak's Death Bats, 5 Chaos Marines, lascannon
• Batista's Sentry Killers Squad, 5 Chaos Marines, lascannon
• Hatred's Night Masques, 5 Chaos Marines, lascannon
The Chaos Marines provide the warband with a tough, flexible core.

FAST ATTACK
• BloodLady, Blood Slaughterer, Mark of Khorne, pair of Slaughter Blades
BloodLady scuttles towards the enemy eager to shed blood for the glory of Khorne.

HEAVY SUPPORT
• Deffy the Defiler with Defiler Claws and Battlecannon, Defiler Scourge, Reaper Autocannon
• Mary the Maulerfiend, Maulerfiend fist, Mark of Nurgle, lasher tendrils
Deffy and Mary are always in the vanguard of the assault competing to see who can get the most kills.

CHAOS RENEGADES & HERETICS BATTALION, THE NOSTROMAN 9TH, "HELL'S HORDE" [1,108]

HQ
• Dneghra, Renegade Commander, powerfist
• Buzzsaw, Renegade Commander, powerfist, plasma pistol
Dnegrah has lead the Nostroman 9th Mercenary Company for decades. She travels the verse, selling her mercenaries' skills to any non-Imperium clients with enough coin. Dnegrah's ancestors were Nostroman nobility. They feared Curze but respected his ability to establish order. Buzzsaw is Dnegrah's lover. He won her affection through his devotion to Chaos and strict personal code of honor.

ELITES
• Nostramo, Enforcer, power sword
• Garok, Enforcer, power sword
• Greenklaw, Enforcer, powerfist
• Rend's 3rd Squad, 5 Command Squad troopers, lascannon, command net vox
• Madame Voodoo's 9th Squad, 8 Marauders, 2 plasma guns, power axe, plasma pistol
• Charles' 10th Squad, 8 Marauders, 2 plasma guns, power axe, plasma pistol
• Captain Zero's 11th Squad, 8 Marauders, 2 plasma guns, power axe, plasma pistol
The enforcers use fear to keep the troops in line. The Command Squad troopers are veteran tank killers. The Marauders are wanton miscreants who excel at boarding operations.

TROOPS
• Sevatar's 1st Squad, 20 Cultists, icon, vox, 2 flamers
• Lobo's 2nd Squad, 20 Cultists, icon, vox, 2 flamers
• Kira's 3rd Squad, 20 Militia, 2 missile launchers, flamer
• Emma's 7th Squad, 20 Mutant Rabble
The Cultists, Militia, and Mutant Rabble are a diverse lot. Some fight for coin, some for Chaos, some fight against the fascist Imperium, and some fight for the sake of fighting.

FAST ATTACK
• Hound of Chaos, armored sentinel, lascannon
Sentinels provide mobile antitank firepower to the Nostroman 9th.

HEAVY SUPPORT
• Blood Debt, Earthshaker carriage, 4 crew
The artillery crew are traitor guard who now use their weapons against their former comrades.

Total=1,997 points; 13 CP, 140 models (135 inf, 4 walkers, 1 artillery)

My units fall into 1 of 4 categories:

1. The Buffers
-Warpsmith and Sorceress: they are there for the buffs: handing out warptime, heals, and +2" movement thanks to the Soulforged Detachment. I might take a Master of Possession instead of a Sorceress and then burn a command point to swap one of my spells for Warptime. This would give me Cursed Earth, and a possible 4++ on my Daemon Engines seems hard to pass up.
-3 Enforcers: these "Chaos Commissars" make R&H infantry units nearby effectively fearless. These are incredibly useful, at least until they get sniped off the board.

April Renegade Enforcer Garok Duels a Termagaunt.jpg

Enforcer Garok fends off termagaunts

2. The Melee Damage Dealers
-The Daemon Engines: they rush up the middle of the board and act as distraction carnifexes. They usually are dead by the bottom of Turn 2 or early in Turn 3 but they have usually brought down a knight or some other nasty units by then.

April vs Admech BloodLady vs Kastelans 2.jpg

BloodLady the Blood Slaughterer dines on robots

3. The Front Horde
-86 little dudes and dudettes (24 Marauders, 2 Renegade Commanders, 40 Cultists, and 20 Mutant Rabble): they run up the flanks capping objectives, tarpitting, taking plasma potshots at things, and generally annoying the enemy. The Marauders usually do good work while everything else at least stops bullets.

November Blue vs Red 1.jpg

The cultist horde engulfs the foe

4. The Back Horde
-The missile launcher Militia Squad with Enforcer, lascannon command squad, 3 small lascannon CSM squads, the Earthshaker, and the lascannon sentinel sit back on my objectives and send a decent amount of firepower downrange.

March Earthshaker Crew Member at Rest.jpg

Renegade Earthshaker Carriage crew member "Cuddles" takes a break

This is a casual, fun sort of list that I enjoy using. I send the mass of insane cultists and sundry forward backed up by dino robots from hell and buffing characters. Meanwhile my firebase plinks away at the enemy. It doesn't win too much but it's always a blast to use and my opponents tell me it's fun to play against.

What do ya'all think?

PS  I just noticed that my Renegades and Heretics battalion has 7 elites. Oops! But if I drop Valkia down to a Master of Possession that gives me enough points to add a 3rd Renegade Commander (Vicious pete). Then I can move some of those elites into a vanguard detachment.

He should have a bolt pistol in there too.

If you can fit it, I've had excelent results replacing the pistol with a combi-melta (effectively giving him two melta guns). He destroys flyers quite well like this, and since he's often hidding in the backfield, the flyers come to him. BS2+ and 2x melta guns is really quite impressive, especially on a model easily hidden.

Very defensively first turn, then drop pods and high orbit as well form a strike force against my opponent. All the scouts and eliminators deploy behind an aegis line. Devestators in the Bastion. Infiltrators (see what i did there?) stop my opponent from deepstriking me where I dont want, and hopefully Ill have enough snipers to remove characters from play pretty early on. Hordes will probably stomp me. I'm not trying for any kind of high power level list at all. If I wanted to bring power, I'd bring 4 knights terryn. Instead, just something different and thematic.

It IS meant to be a thematic reproduction of Vigilus Defiant Shadowspear, sans Malneus Calgar, tho I also plan on bringing a vast amount of Space Marines for the diorama which includes him.

First, I've updated my list in the top post. Pretty minor tweaks, I think I've got it as dialed in as it's going to be.

More importantly, I am very happy to welcome VonRuger to the Infil-Traitors. He's always been someone I thought really embodied the ideals of the OFCC, and I'm extremely pleased to share a team with him!

This is similar to what I have taken before, but with the points change I was able to add another Hive tyrant, and decided to bring a model most don't... a Tyrannocyte with 5 Venom Cannons!

Hive Fleet Kronos

180  Hive Tyrant, Heavy venom cannon, Lash Whip and Monstrous Bonesword, Reaper of Obliterax, Warlord, Trait=Soul Hunger

210  Hive Tyrant, Wings, Monstrous Scything talons

90  Neurothrope

150  Hormagaunts x 30

160  Termagants w/Devourer x 20

160  Termagants w/Devourer x 20

135  Tyranid Warriors x 5 w/Deathspitters and Flesh Hooks

60  Deathleaper

117  Tyrant guard w/rending claws, lashwhip and boneswords

200  Zoanthrope x 5

191  Trygon Prime

208  Tyrannofex w/rupture cannon

135  Tyrannocyte w/5x Venom Cannon

Basically Half the army comes in turn two (and I mean half by barley under 1000 points). Starting on the table though are 5 units that can smite and some decent firepower. The hormagaunts charge across the table right away to give you something to shoot at and kind of worry about with the foot slogging Hive tyrant and his guard following. The Warriors tend to hold rear objectives and deal with turn two incoming enemies with heavy fire support from the Fex. Never used a Flyrant, so will figure that out before OFCC hopefully LOL. The Termagaunts will come in turn two, one with the Trygon Prime, the other with the Tyrannocyte. Deathleaper is just for fun, he never kills anything important. If my opponent has lots of models and could effectively keep me from brining in my models on turn two, then I would deploy most at the beginning and still be effective. I have those great 40k movement trays from Marc the Maker so movement with those large units takes no time at all. Also with 60 shots from the Termagaunts, I use a dice rolling app if my opponent agrees that greatly reduces the time in my shooting phase.

I'm proud to be part of the Infil-traitors (well minus the fact they are heritic scum! For the Emperor! Us Hive guys are just trying to save our brother from the Golden Throne and bring him back into the collective...)

This list turned out to be absolutely terrible and Ive started working on another possibly terrible Deathwing list.
