The Infinity Run

Raindog

Recommended Posts

Raindog the Szalamandra is a devastating TAG. It is pricey in points, but if you fill your ranks with cheep specialists and orders, it will do the work for you. That HRMC, and heavy flamer make the enemy quiver and run!

Cool! I was going to place the model on my painting table and give it a go. I know ROGRE was looking for a TAG battle, I hope I can give him one…….

Today, I built a large bridge span large enough for a TAG to walking along. It is over a foot long and will connect the roof tops of two buildings. I am not sure what I can do for the decorative surface yet, or if even if there needs to be a topping surface.

Then, I built a 90 percent of a roof for a smaller building. There are three more pieces I need to put on, then I am done.

I have still two more roofs to go, one large, and the other small.

I have enough bulkheads for two more small buildings, or a tower, or something else. I think I will wait for the right Project.

The roof is done.

Then, I made a roof for the next building.

Finally, I sat down and assembled the Hellcat armed with a boarding shotgun that Jay to me. One I was surprised how much bits of metal are attached from the model. They are remnants from the casting process. Most part came of easily enough with a snip. I had to do a it more work with the fist arm.

All other model lines were infinitesimally small.

The back adornment needed pinning, or I could see it falling off with play. Then, I put on the right leg. The leg fits into the butt of the model, fine, but there was a gap in the groin that required a small amount of putty. The fist arm fit fine, but I added putty to fill in fine gaps. The shotgun arm had slight gap-age in arm pit. It was easy enough to fix.

The model is based and drying.

Stopped by Dice Age today. Man, that is a nice store. I have been there many times, but not recently. It is the best organized store in the area. The store has the bast selection for Infinity scenery and terrain pieces, but sadly they only have a hand full of blisters.  I was looking for tokens, no luck.

I played two games tonight. The first was against Don't Panic's linked Myrmidon, Aleph. That went poorly. I should have played avoid and hide. I had nothing for ODD spam.

My favorite moment was my Hellcat passing 5 straight armor tests…..

Second Game, I played Ian and his borrowed Pan-O. Total Reaction bots rule and are very scary, I wish I one against Don't Panic…. My Hellcats jumped in  Pan-O's blind spots and created havoc. Ian move his LT to better position and placed the model in striking distance of my Custodier. She went on an attack run the next turn. I was able to kill the LT and the BOT with the RC and the Engineer with the remaining Hellcat.  I was able to Hack and Brainburst his Hacker. Great fun

I damage a fin on a Hellcat, so when I returned home, I fixed it and then, completed the Reverend Healer. I pinned the sword arm a based the model.

TR bots are indeed awesome, but taking down pheonix would be a tall task for them.  -9 to hit if he fires from soft cover and he could just throw smoke and spec fire while your bot can only dodge at -6... what murders my list is MSV snipers.  i think ill drop a myrm and add a combat jump just to deal with that in the future.  i got lucky in the second game..

Red Castle called over the weekend letting me know my Intruder HMG was in. My wife did not tell me until Sunday night after Game Night. I picked up the Model today. Huzzah! It is the right one. They had the biggest selection I have seen in a FLGS. I hope to energy tonight to put it together.

When I got there today they said they had just accepted a $700 order from a customer for Infinity gear and models.  It seemed like a lot, but honestly...I had to ask them if it was you.

Thanks for the head's up about the starter set!

That was not me. I need to assemble the models I have and see what they can do before I buy too much more. Terrain on the other hand, I definitely need more and would like to have the ability to have multiple levels with connecting walkways.
