XWING AT OFCC 2016

All Pilots, man your stations!

Good day, my name is Pete Harper, and it is my pleasure to announce at the 2016 Ordo Fanaticus Club Challenge, we will be hosting two days of Xwing action for you FFG fans! Each year, the Ordo Fanaticus Club Challenge is held in celebration of our shared love of games, gamers, and the communities we cherish (and an excuse to roll dice for a whole weekend!) Last year, we held a small Friday tournament, but this year, we will be hosting a full Saturday tournament on July 30, and an escalation tournament on Sunday, July 31. The OFCC is being held this year at the Hilton hotel in downtown Vancouver WA.

SUNDAY

Sunday's Escalation Tournament will use the FFG provided rules for both round time, and army building:

“Escalation tournaments are held in a series of four tournament rounds. The

first round is 50 minutes, the second round is 70 minutes, the third round is

90 minutes, and the fourth round is 120 minutes. Tournament organizers may

adjust this number up or down by up to 10 minutes each round as they see

fit. If they do, they must inform all players in advance of the tournament.”

-The maximum squad points for each player’s first squad is 60 points. A squad

cannot exceed 60 points, though it may contain fewer than 60 points.

Each player must field at least two ships.

-On subsequent rounds, the maximum squad points for each player’s squad

increases to 90 for the second round, 120 for the third round, and 150 for

the fourth.

-During each round, each squad must contain all ships and upgrade cards from the previous squad.

. Ships from the previous round must keep all equipped upgrade cards, and these cards may

not be “transferred” to a different ship. However, new upgrade cards may be

added to ships from the previous squad.”

Sweet.

Purely out of curiosity (both since it is OFCC so fun is the point and also because I tend to crater in competitive play) is there any tournament points bias/weighting towards later rounds int eh escalation event on Sunday or flat values for each round regardless of points value?
