rudra34
Models assembled today! 3x Irmandinhos (One official model, 2 fat Yuan-yuan without wings) Vet Kazak HMG Spetsnaz Shotgun Warcor The urge to play TAK is growing, and I'm spending a lot of time day-dreaming about lists. My final conclusion is that Streloks are way too good and should probably have been capped at AVA 3 or even 2. When some more models are available I'd love to rock this LI list. rudra34
Working on putting together some Dynamo models for my TAK. Really they will just be like-armed models standing on the base next to the bikes, but you get the idea. Also it gives me the option of a built-in dismounted troop. The profiles didn't really wow me at first and seemed kinda pricey, but then I looked closer and saw that they are kind of awesome. Pros -Non-impetuous bikes gives you an 8-inch cautious move to help get safely across the board -Multiple fast specialist options -Mine dispenser (brutal for dropping a mine next to somebody's link team or ODD ARO piece) -Dogged assault piece Cons -S5 is harder to hide -High cost -Competes with all the other tasty attack pieces in TAK Overall they look pretty fantastic, and I think the high cost is fair. If they were any cheaper it would be tempting to load the whole board up with shooty bikes!

But also cooler 😄 I'm actually surprised that the arms both went on and stayed glued without any pinning. Each one weighs more than a stanrard model, and the point they attach is rather small. Still, they really sit well and seem to be extremely sturdy. A little bit of a bad fit for the two main body pieces, but that can easily be covered up with a tiny bit of putty and some paint tricks. Looking forward to throwing a lot of hammers. 1

rudra34
I've only pinned one or two models in my lifetime of gaming. For metal I just make sure the joints are as close to perfect as they can be, then heavily score the inside of the contact points to help the glue set and hold. Very rarely do I have any issues, and it's always with little bits like antenna that couldn't be pinned anyway,
rudra34
YO! Got my first league game in against Berman and his Tunguska. I had two lists to choose from so I rolled off, getting the list with the Ratnik (for the lulz), a line Kazak link with Frontnovik, minelayer Strelok, and an Irmandinho. He had a 3-man link of 2 Hollowmen+bot, Clockmaker, Interventor, and a few other bots. I tried to rambo with the Ratnik but he was mostly smoke with no fire, took out 11 points worth of models. Then I got him hacked, as I am really not used to have any hackable models in an ariadna list. Hollowman spitfire made quick work of him after that. After that we traded punched back and forth with Berman ultimately pulling out the win in the end. It was a good game, with neither of us succeeding at the simple things and overachieving with the weird ones. Next week I'll change the list up and throw some new stuff out there!
rudra34
I'll get to tonight's games in my next post, this is more pressing. rudra34
Ended up with a day off today as moving season fades away into the slowness that is winter. To celebrate, I'm gonna work on my TAK! All the models I have a currently assembled so all of them will get primed today and painting will begin on a select few. Out of the lot I'm most looking forward to painting the new Scout and the Strelok models. The Line Kazaks should be fun too, as for line infantry they have a lot of detail. I'm least looking forward to the new Vets. The models are beautiful, but I've become less and less fond of painting models that are just heavy slabs of metal plate. It doesn't mesh with the army's aesthetic as well, and I feel like it ends up a little more boring. Oh well, I'll work on my technique and maybe find a better way to make it work.

rudra34
Played with the stupid all FO list against Bermen's Tunguska. His list was smart, worked well with the scenario, and had a lot of diverse options. I spent an entire turn taking out the Puppet bots because if I didn't they would have walked all over me. That unit is awesome, and scares the crap out of me. Details aside I squeezed out a win because all of my models could score and there were a lot of unconscious models that I could FO in the final turn. As far as I'm concerned he played the better game, I essentially lucked out with positioning at the end. NEXT WEEK! Next week is gonna be back to trying things and having lists with more than one type of model. I'm thinking of something like this Tartary Army Corps ────────────────────────────────────────────────── 7 3 3STRELOK K-9 Submachine Gun, Chain-colt, Antipersonnel Mines + 1 K-9 Antipode / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 8) 2.5 SWC | 179 Points Open in Infinity Army The Spetz might get changed out for another heavy hitter, but I think this is gonna be the basic blueprint. TAK is cursed by having a ton of insanely good single model attack rambos and you can't bring them all into the list. One that I'd love to break out of retirement in the Autocannon Tankhunter. It's only burst two, but when you hit something with that model it is DEAD. A really scary piece against pretty much anything. Well, we'll see what makes it into the list.

The second list is more rounded out and shows off the versatility of the new link options in MO. Overall I was happy with how both preformed, even though I got slapped silly in a couple of games. Game one I played against Nick and his Haqq. Highlights! -Seraph cut his way across the field in turn one, killing many and leaving Nick in LOL on turn one -In his turn he converted a few orders to regular and took the TAG down, as I cannot make armor saves on anything other than order sergeants -I move everyone up and out of the way of a Fiday, as he will make my cheap order monkeys dead very easily -TO Serg does some work, then hides himself away in a building -Joan can't kill something...so we all get into buildings -We try for a few checklist items and the game ends. A win for the Military Orders! Nick played a great game, but starting your first turn several models down and in LoL is hard to come back from. Still, he killed the TAG, and sometimes that is all that matters. Game two I was up against Erik G. and his Steel Phallus...or whatever they are called. Highlights! -I was nervous about getting beat-sticked as Erik got first turn with a very aggressive and punchy list -My AROs turned into magic bullets, as I took out Ajax and roughly half his army in his own first turn -We both moved to grab a few objectives and hold them. Can't forget the scenario! -I failed to isolate one of his bots 3-4 times, so I gave up trying and instead focused on tabling him and getting checklist points Another win for Military Orders! Erik should have walked over me turn one, but the dice gods decide that Ajax, along with the rest of the AI abominations, needed to die. Game three was against Steven and his TAK Highlights! -I deploy to ARO lay rockets on his link team, forgetting that he has smoke and can just hide them all (Pano problems) -His Vet Kazak rips some [big bad swear word] and takes my ARO pieces down, I manage to put a wound on him but it is healed later -He grabs some objectives and sets up defensively -I try to make a push up the right flank, killing a handful of models on my way -Luck goes south, I move poorly, my guys are all either killed in ARO or left exposed -I end up getting tabled with no objectives to my name, but getting whooped so bad allowed me to pick up a lot of bad-luck checks off of my list A major loss for Military Orders! If I had remembered what smoke was I would have not deployed such an aggressive ARO team, as they simply can't stand up to the power of a b5 AP HMG Vet Kazak. Still, he played a great game and absolutely deserved the win. 10/10 would lose again. Game four was against John (Jon?) and his JSA Highlights! -His heavy shotgun murder bot had a path across the board and almost fried my link team -Luckily I double crit him with E/M grenades, putting an end to his rampage after losing just one model -He moved up and got into solid defensive positions -My Bulleteer and Santiago took out a good amount of models, everyone moved up to not get bio-tech type damage -He pressed up his link and allowed the Domaru to get right in my business -I failed to kill or even hurt the domaru, getting my hacker and LT isolated/immobilized in the process (WHAT?! 😄) A major loss for Military orders! We both had a weird mix of luck and tragedy in this game, but Jon came out on top with his aggressive play style and grenade ninja Domaru. If anyone should take anything away from this game, it's that the game is more fun when everyone throws E/M grenades at each other. In the end I scored enough between battle scores and checklist to tie for best general with Erik G., beating him on a short round of tie-breaking trivia. After losing two games I didn't even think I'd be in the running, but filling up that checklist really makes a difference! Thank you so much to my four opponents, Eric, and everyone who showed up to make this event happen.
