Team Yankee - your old paint sets are NOT obsolete

ZEKE helped me with the conversions. He did a LOT of work.

Also got advice from forum discussions at WWPD.

Here is what I found:

1) Your "Colours of War" and Vallejo Model paints can be used for Team Yankee.

2) Controversy/confusion around "Soviet Green" not a big deal

3) some mix-up in "Maverick Khaki" product code (and therefore paint matching) between the American and British paint sets.

4) No COW match for Hind Blue, but there is a Vallejo color that is a close match.

I do not profess to be perfect, so if someone has different information or disagrees, plz comment.

Listed below are Team-Yankee Paint conversions - Team-Yankee (TYP) = Colours of War (FWP) = Vallejo Model Color

Note: Vallejo Model Color paint codes usually have a "70." prefix

*Soviet Green(1), (2) and (3) is problematic. A close match for several, but not an exact match for any.

I embraced this quote: Bcorpswriter on http://forum.wwpd.net/viewtopic.php?t=2531&p=24035 'Re: What would be considered an "accurate" Soviet green?'

"Short answer: anything. The Soviets produced millions of combat vehicles in umpteen different factories scattered across one of the largest continuous land masses in the world. They were not all using the same paint pot, no reason you should either. I currently have Russian stuff painted in 6 different shades ranging from pale light green up to very dark olive drab, not to mention the US and British lend lease stuff. Pick a color that makes you feel good and go with it."

The main thing I noticed with the Team Yankee paints and Colors of War paints is that they use the same serial number even though they sometimes change the name, example:

TYP341 NATO Green = FWP341 Tankovy Green

So then, I just had to find the colors of war conversion charts to vallejo
