Finally getting around to setting up my new hobby work space. Still waiting on my third paint rack and currently building a second work bench to give me more space so it's still very much a WIP but here's a picture of it in its current state.7 points -

Oh man I made it to Gary Con X. Got 1 ride to Milwaukee from Eau Claire direct. It was great except we got pulled over (dude was speeding) and the cop was trying crazy hard to convince the guy he was crazy for giving a hitchiker a ride. Cop could just could not understand why he gave me a ride. Fast forward I am going from Milwaukee to Lake Geneva, a cop pulls over....and gives me a ride a few miles to the end of his jurisdiction and the best high way on ramp. I've had two other run ins with cops and they have been super nice. Also Gary Con is awesome. I am so excited.3 points -

OK I have been playing 40k in this league at Ordo... and I have gotten used to the rules in 8th and how it plays. The time is right for me to start building a Harlequin list. WITH the understanding that a new codex will probably drop this summer - which will probably cause this entire army to change. But until then - I want to build a fairly generic version of a Harlequin list I want to try and get out of my head and onto the table top. My basic plan is to use old figures (already painted) whenever possible. After the new book drops ..(whenever that will be) .. I will then start build2 points

So I've come upon a new list I plan on using for the forseable future and it got me into nurgle which is one of the Daemon forces I don't have a lot. I really didn't want pukey green as everyone has pukey green, so I went with a scheme similar to one i found on a youtube video and went with a whiteish color. One of the main shades is Druchi Violet, giving it a purply look, and their teeth look like wine teeth, hence Bacchus Born. Bacchus being the fat jolly lord of wine and puking seems to fit nurgle well enough. Here is the basic scheme and where I am at so far.1 point

So I'm noticing a rise in injuries around me since starting my Laymen First Responder training. I mean, ok universe I know I carry a first aid kit most places but that doesn't mean you can just mangle people and expect me to clean up.1 point

@WestRider Sounds like that would be a really fun list to run! I was reading on the new assassin rules and could see where a handful of culexus assassins in the front line could make shooting anything off the table really difficult. How did the list work after the TO threw out the character rule?1 point

The T’au are masters of technology. While the other empires of the 41st Millennium have long stagnated, using millennia-old designs and fearing innovation, the T’au Empire make up for the youthfulness of their dominion by constantly innovating and developing. The forces of Dal’yth, for instance, have all but mastered stealth field technology, outfitting anything from their Fire Warriors to their tanks with the latest patterns. On the tabletop, this is represented by Adaptive Camouflage, a Sept Tenet that considerably improves the durability of your units: Whil1 point

You should! But only with friends. I recently played Eco, which is a peaceful resource gathering/building game. The premise is an asteroid is going to smash into your planet in X number of real life days (determined at start of the server). Your goal is to advance in technology to stop it (building a laser). The catch, is that in your plundering of natural resources, you can trash your planet, so you have to balance progress with sustainability. There is a player built economy and system of government where players set their own prices for goods, and vote to enact emission restrictions an1 point -

It took 5 rides to go 80 some miles from Minniapolis to Eau Claire and one ride to go the 200 some miles from Eau Claire to Milwaukee. I was in Eau Claire hanging out at a coffee shop and some college kids came by and saw my bag and asked what I was up to and offered me a place to stay which was super cool. Also they broke my curd-ginity. Anyone tried cheese curds before? Still unsure how I feel about them. Milwaukee bucks are playing the Rockets today so I got tickets on the fly. Might as well.1 point -
To be fair to Brandon, he picked up a massive mess and finished it up reasonably. I would highly recommend Brandon's other work, which is pretty great.1 point

My list for last OFCC was actually six of each of those, and three each of the Culexus and Callidus, led by three Inquisitors, and with a StormRaven for the Termie Inquisitor to ride around in. I thought it was just going to be goofy, but it actually ended up being disgustingly good, to the point where I house-ruled away the Character Rule on the Assassins, because it just made it impossible for my Opponents to do much of anything.1 point
