    New airbrush

My in-laws purchased a new patriot 105 for me for Christmas. I am very excited and eager to try it out once I get home. Any tips to help a new airbrush owner?

The Absolutely Dangerous expansion introduces three new Freelancers, the Mad Roboticist, the Party Bot, and Little Cuties. The latter are homicidal children's toys. Below is my take on the Little Cuties. I used a old Malifaux Outcast Stolen model. The SMG came from a Reaper Miniatures weapons sprue. Lil Mae 3000 (Little Cutie) In the US and Canada, the Lil Mae 3000 was the 'must have' Christmas gift of 2066. Like most electronic toys, the life sized, robotic porcelain doll was manufactured overseas, but unbeknownst to both consumers and western intelligence agencie

    2019 OBBL Premiership

The final matchup has been decided! After four grueling months of Blood Bowl, the two teams in the final are @Burk's Necromantic team, Hochland Howlers, and @Weav's Dwarfs, Karaz-a City Chiefs. The final game will be the third time these teams have faced each other this season, with each team collecting a win versus the other. Both teams participated the the Averland (First) Division of the 2019 OBBL Premiership, and the Chiefs got their win vs the Howlers in round two with an eventful 1-0 victory. In that game, the Chiefs benefited from a second half Blitz and a successful coach's challenge t

  4. Printing models and bits is the same as buying forged world from China. Or casting it yourself. If the model is printed and you can’t tell the difference. Keep your silence and print. Some of my forge world is fake the rest is from Nottingham. Nobody can tell. Am I am evil dude? kind of but I am ok with it. I spent several grand at Nottingham on forge world so the smaller amount of fakes I am ok with.

  6. Hey All! So for a while now, Menucha has been putting on Scrap and Sew Retreats....weekend long getaways where scrapbookers and sewers of all kinds can come together and enjoy their hobby together. I have been myself a few times, and always brought my models to work on, either to build or even paint. They are having another one this March, 6-8th to be exact. Well this time, they are opening it up to modelers as well. I was able to put on a one day event earlier this year. We were able to convince them to just combine the two together. I'll post the link below and you can find the info the

    New airbrush

I've had a Patriot 105 for many years. It's great for basecoats, zenithal highlights, buildings and vehicles, but I've never been able to paint anything really detailed with it, as some people can. I have no real painting advice, but I will agree with Andy that the water trap and the quick disconnect coupling are both good. I have exactly the same coupling on my own airbrush. If your 105 is the same as mine, the default spray regulator that it comes with does not protect the tip of the needle from damage. I bent mine repeatedly and even stabbed myself with it before I got a new nozzle that

My favorite Christmas song lyric is "A child, a child, shivers in the cold Let us give him silver and gold". How about, instead of "making it rain" in the stable, you use those precious metals to buy a [big bad swear word]ing blanket? Do you know any parents on the planet who tuck their kids in with gold bullion? How wise are these douchebags kings men?!

  16. I think the movie is like an 8/10 until the scene where they battle at the ruined death star, then after that it quickly falls to like a 3/10 for an overall 5.5/10. There was just so much retconning of the last movie, and the ending scenes just didn't make sense. Everything about palpatines fleet was bad. Why the heck did Rey and Ben kiss? What? Also isn't returning someone to life with the force an evil act?

I thought it's crazy that Mississippi decided to incorporate a blatant anti-United States symbol this century. But then I dug a little deeper and it was only readopted in 2001. The original design was adopted in 1894 but repealed in 1906. They technically had no state flag for 95 years and failed to agree on a design in 2001 so they just settled on the old anti-U.S. (but pro 13 colonies??), very confused design they had in 1894. So if that struck anyone else as wildly out of touch, that's the story behind it.

  23. My Necromancer (Warlord) was mounted on a 40mm base and stands taller than my hearthguard cavalry, but it felt a bit wimpy to be a counts-as Necromancer on a Beast, so I transferred the model to a larger base and gave him a "pet". The model is still no Dieter Helsnicht (old school Warhammer fans may get that reference), but I feel that the larger base and zombie bear better represent the model's improved stat line and stays true to my 'cursed forest' theme. The zombie bear is the Haunted Bear from Great Escape Games' Dead Man's Hand model line. Below is a shot of the Haunted Bea

Ishmael (Militiaman) & Tashtego (Militiaman) Like O'Connell, Ishmael is a Merchant Sailor made by Pulp Miniatures. Tashtego is from Brigade Games' Post Apocalyptic Minis line. Originally, the model was holding a short barrel shotgun. I removed everything but the shotgun's stock and added a rifle's action and barrel.

Thanks Sherbert. My painting style is still fairly cartoony, but my color selection and use of washes has let me to add a dash of grit to my post-apoc models. These poor wretches are the feral mutants, Brother Ick and Brother Ack. The razor sharp quills that sprout from their torsos had shredded a half dozen vestments before Cardinal Corvus finally agreed to grant them a special dispensation and permit them to wear only loincloths.

I glued the artwork to a very thin sheet of styrene that is sized to fit in the sign's frame. The sheet is held in place by 4 tiny pieces of poster tack and can be easily removed. I designed it this way because I didn't know if I would like the look of artwork after it was "aged" with a thinned down brown ink. This turned out to be a wise move on my part. My first attempt to "age" the art didn't go so well. What you see is my second go at aging the sign.

I know that I stated that I am eager to finally get to painting my warbands, but my orders from Fogou Models and Sarissa Precision arrived yesterday, and I just couldn't help myself. By combining a Sarissa mdf billboard kit with some of the Fogou barriers, I hope to create an interesting terrain piece that injects a bit of old Seattle flavor into my board. I didn't say it's a very good flavor, but it's good enough when you are 5 or 6 beers in, and not tasting much of anything anymore. Plus, it's something's that had its heyday during my youth, so for good or ill, thin
