  1. cool - I am now on the schedule to do an Inquisitor Demo game at 3D Roleplay con! -d
  2. very true about the toxicity of resin... including the fumes. Although you will get some smells from your filament printer as well. There are ways to properly dispose of resin - Exposing it and then tossing the cured resin is safe (supposedly). Also, always handle with gloves or tongs until you've cured it. Aside - (or back to the OP) filament printers can do pretty fantastic detail when dialed in - I have seen some pretty good prints on a filament printer. But I am not sure about a kickstarter for this kinda thing - there are lots of great options for FDM printers out there - with new and great ones coming everyday... without the false FOMO via a kickstarter campaign from an already existing company with capital.
  3. do you want to get into 3d printing? lol... it is a fairly involved "hobby" lol. I don't know about that kickstarter - but you have to ask yourself what will you be wanting to print if you jump into this hobby? - and will that printer do what you want to print? Are there other printer options already on the market that will do what you are looking to print? good luck
  4. anything really - but probably initially for 5 parsecs from home or some other solo skirmish. I need to try Inq 28 as well (inquisitor at 28mm). Beyond that - its just kinda cool mini lol.
  5. nice mini... I don't play necromunda... but I have the Delaque box for other games... I will have to get this guy when he comes
  6. Over the covid time / lockdown... etc. I started collecting and painting Inquisitor (54mm) ... I would like to get a chance to play it someday. I jumped on your discord and stirred up interest. If I can find the time for another project - maybe I could set up something of a demo game. -d
  7. This sounds fun - what other games could be happening? Is this all that will be played or are you waiting for more sign-ups to fill things out? -d
  8. I'm pretty sure Geeks and Games in Oregon City has team yankee ... at least the last time I was in there. I can't remember if Shiv Games in Salem had Team Yankee... but I wouldn't doubt it - they have everything lol. -d
  9. As it says - I am selling my opened and lightly looked at Legions Imperialis Starter Box. I opened the box - looked through the sprues and rulebook. I then placed it all back into the box. At the cost I paid pre-order for - no mark-up. Would entertain trades - but not looking to expand my pile of shame too much. Boxed self contained games possibly (GW-space hulk, quest Blackstone fortress, or cursed city?) something else? similar? let me know. -d
  10. they are really awesome - and the scale is nice. But exactly as your point - I have epic armies needed to be finished already. The game is perfectly fine - with various "living" editions online. I see that they are trying to keep it a slow grow Neo-epic - with going with HH. But - as things go - it could take years for them to get to where epic already is. IF they don't dump it all a couple years down the road. I think I am better off with the "dead" game lol -d
  11. I got the main box... thumbed through the book and looked at the minis - after watching a few vids it seems to be a well done game. BUT - I also watched 3-4 epic armageddon YouTube battle reports and just love that game as well - then after looking through my collection of 4-5 epic armies... the rules are online (net epic) and all the armies are accounted for... this new box doesn't bring anything different to the table besides the scale differences. I think I will just sell my box as it is still new and in the box - rulebook and all un-F'd with. -d
  12. those would be great for epic 40k work squiggoths ... or something.
  13. it is just a Heresy game tho. Not an epic replacement. I am picking it up out of curiosity mostly - I will plan on printing any needed models other than what I get in the core box. But without xenos factions - it will only be a sideshow for me. -d
  14. I've gotten on the list for pre-order though Shiv Games in Salem - looking forward to trying it out. With the starter box I will be able to scale prints well for expanding the armies lol -
  15. thanks - its a complete ready to go set up - I would keep it but my wife keeps looking at my growing printer "collection" and with the Saturn I have no need to keep it.
  16. I have acquired a Saturn 4k (original Saturn) on a trade - had a blown LCD and had to clean up the insides from a resin overflow. Anyhow, I have it all working wonderfully now - (new lcd and IPA elbow grease). Anyhow, I have a Elegoo Mars 2 Pro - with Mercury 2 - clean & cure with tank (and extras ... ie. extra resin vats, 2nd print plate ... resin) to find a new home. Pictures to follow. All in working order and good to go. 200$ OBO - for the entire set up with extras. -d
  17. Recent podcast listening- YouTube mentions got me curious. Anyone local play this? I really know zero but kinda wanna learn more.
  18. I will give that box set some thought. Although I could probably find some tokens to print as well. -d
  19. since I have the stuff from the older box set.. I guess I just need the newer rulebook ... I will look into it. thanks! -d
  20. I know you can run from the dehydrator directly to the printer - I just don't. But... yes - if I get a sealed bag that doesn't seem "fresh" like the bag isn't tight and vacuumed tight - I will pop the spool into the dyhydrator for 8-12 hours over night just out of course. And if I am running into a spool with issues like silking or breaking lots - I will pull that spool and run it for a day or 2 in the dehydrator. If I run into the issue with multiple spools from the same vendor I stop buying that brand. I also have a small dehumidifier in my printing enclosure - that's constantly running. I try to not have multiple spools out - and I keep the bags and little silica pouches - and store spools in the bags with extra silica when I am not using them... typically with "special filaments - like rainbow stuff" lol. you can always make a dry box ... a tote with a seal - put dehydrating pouches in it.
  21. hmmmm I have a sunlu one I have been using on spools when they are bad - but I don't run it directly from the dehydrator to the printer. I think it is set up to do so - I just don't have my set up that way. It seems to do the job of dehydrating ok though.
  22. I find the free stuff on Printables or Thingiverse or sometimes on Cults. My Mini Factory also has a few things for free. Other than that - Printable Terrain has some decently priced stuff. 3D Alien Worlds has some decent stuff as well ( I have picked up some Japanese & Eldar terrain from them). They have some Necron themed stuff as well. I will try to think of some others - but I find searching google images - with your descriptor and a ".stl" in the name helps get started. -d
  23. Hmmm do you have a filament dehydrator? sounds like funky filament - like "moist" filament. I would also clean your build bed with dawn and warm water ... if you can remove it. But I think you probably have a bad batch of old filament. -d
