We have a pretty good community forming here in Tacoma. I was wondering if people are playing it elsewhere. I have interest in the Bellingham area but that section of the forum seems to be dead. So anyone else playing?

What is the scene like up in Bham for star wars shatterpoint?

Yeah, unfortunately GW saw fit to make it a legends model 😞

Which half of the box are you leaning towards? TYRANIDS or space marines?

It is fun, but it is where big names go to win. So going against the same style lists constantly is annoying. It is 8 games in 3 days, or if your in the top, 9 games because they need a ghost round to sort the undefeated. Having a group of friends to chat with in between rounds is a necessity.

More gaunts to paint.... that is going to be annoying. ALso, barbgaunts! -2 to move, advance, and charge! A large unit of that split firing and annoying the crap out of everyone is going to be fun.

Seeing the rules now, getting your big bugs shot at even while in melee is going to require some plan to free them up or make sure they can free themselves. The Neurotyrant's ability to put a unit in synapse until your next turn I think is going to be invaluable for units you want to (as the kids say) YEET across the board. Though it will be interesting to see how they limit tyrants.

I would say first thing is be good at magnetizing. It is hard to say what to get at this time. It seems Tyranids are changing a bit with spreading synapse so looking to have plenty of synapse to help keep your bugs in line. With the stratagem shown it would seem they are going towards a swarm type style so Hgants, Tgants, and gargs will probably be a necessity. I would venture a guess that a tyranofex would be in order to help crack tanks.
Not much of a help I know, but waiting to see data sheets would help to know how they will operate in 10th.

My first OFCC (Edit: Spectator!) experience as captured on a potato:

Legendary! Good times.
I for one would volunteer to help get OFCC back to what it was. I am a bit north, but I would be willing to help in what ever capacity is needed.

The sky is falling! LoV have a lot of mechanics that get around the rules, so it will be interesting when they first hit the street. I don't think they will break the game like Bugs but they will definitely shake up the meta.
Buy what makes you happy and you will have fun with.

For anyone still playing 40k, the new points are up.

I am looking for 2 or 3 more Assault Centurians. Preferably with the flamers, but I can work with what ever.
I can offer a trade with Nids, Marines, GSC, some star wars legion, or possibly my first born child. Otherwise I have cash as well.

I am not a fan of doing anything in downtown Tacoma. The crime is insane at the moment. SO much so, I am having the wife drop me off and pick me up so my car isn't parked downtown.
But we should all meet up at some point during the weekend and reminisce about the good old days. Back when the top codex wasn't at over an 80% win rate. Back when you didn't have to design a list to counter one specific list.

Hmmmmm Mother's Day weekend. Might be tough. I'll see what I can do.
Okay, nevermind. The ticket for the speed painting class is $230. What the hell? What am I missing because that is moronic.
You better get a full set of paints and a gigantic model for that... That is crazy.

Zgames was where I started my 40k journey. It was also where I had my craziest and greatest game of 40k, my bugs vs Mike Blow's grey knights. May he Rest in Peace. It is also where I faced Ben Cromwell for the first time and got my butt handed to me. 🙂 Great memories!

It's a Seattle tournament, because all of western Washington is Seattle??? But it is being held in Tacoma. Kind of cool there is one close by. Might have to buy a ticket just to experience what a Grand tournament is like.

Love the coasters and the idea of letting others get them, but please note that when it's not just a one-off homemade item, using the Ordo Fanaticus logo for products (even free ones) requires approval from the Senate.
I am sure y'all could come to an agreement.

My second use of Scott's 3d printing and it is fantastic! Got me some SW:Legion comm stations printed. I highly recommend.

Do you have any terrain for the likes of Star Wars Legion?

I have to take a break from 40k. The level of nonsense that is coming out is insane. The distribution of rules is so crazy it is hard to track it all.
The new RAILGUN with 10-12 wounds per shot is straight asinine.

Coming from the old man perspective, I miss the good old days. The days of being in a grange were amazing! I look forward to seeing what the senate puts together in the future.
