It's the mawloc attack a shooting or melee attack? It does not say and it matters when deep striking under artillery. We diced it off since it is not clear.

5 FMCs not reliably coming in on turn 2 could also ruin your day. Starting lictors on the table would help with that problem... Maybe some interesting shenanigans to work with...

Wait... If I am reading this right, SitW actually makes a psycher within 12" -3 LD. Not just for the psychic test, but just -3 Ld. That could be very useful for dealing with people that hide librarians in blobs..

I do think I was able to taste a difference using this method. I will have to give it another try tonight.

I am going to try an Exocrine, because why not try out some long range plasma shots, 3x screamer killers, and a mawloc. Mawlocs have the potential to do alot of work against blobs too. One question though, does a large blast marker clear enough room to place the mawloc on the table?

YAYAYAYAY, codex release day! Now to go pick it up and cry like a little child that had his ice cream stolen. I refuse to give up hope, at least for the first 6 months... then I may steel my brothers Eldar and Titan and go learn what it is like to play a winning army :P

Not much of an answer to mech either. I would drop a unit of lictors and pick up some hive guard. Also, why not get a mawloc in there with all those lictors for some fun? Why no spines on the fexs so they can charge thru terrain?

have him arrive outside of terrain, and then run him in. dumb, yes, but it may save you a wound. But there is only an 11% chance of taking a wound if you arrive him in dangerous terrain. I think he has always had to take the test...

Get too much stuff close together and you are asking for pie plates. The unfortunate thing is a few ignores cover shots and that plan falls to the way side.

If you are going to run 9 warriors, you might as well add a Prime to the group to help them out.

Give it time, there will be a monobuild if you want to "compete". And by compete I mean try for best sportsman or best paint. :P

Yeah, it is possible for them to attack themselves. If you roll a 1-3 on instinctive behavior. I almost feel like we are going to the "squabble" table that fantasy goblins deal(t) with. (Not sure if it is still a mechanic for them or not) Depending on the wording,

Not sure 2k is the points level to shoot for. It seems the big tournaments are going for 1500 / 1750 pts. I think I am going to need more gaunts...
