The open gaming is not an official OF event. The events we run on those days are (and hence they each get a 20% discount), but the open gaming is just open gaming. So no, we are not giving a 20% discount (which would be $1) for the open gaming and we are not planning on changing the description you quoted. Thanks Burk

The $5 cost is fixed regardless of champ level. Champs do get discounted entry to each event, but open gaming is fixed at $5.

I hope you are not being cynical. There is a cost to put on thsi event, so we need to re-coup that cost. You get to get in, and see everyone playing. You can play games using our terrain/tables that we have collected over 10 years and probably have about 5-10k invested in. I dont think $5 is too much to ask considering the incredible cost and liability Ordo is assuming to put this on every year. I know you are on a fixed income Pax, but honestly, there are costs to this endeavor that we need to cover and charging you to get in is one of them. We have not charged in years past for walk in's but this year we need to manage those in the hall and charging for our costs is one of them. We will issue a lanyard to the walk-ins (and players). This naturally has a cost, perhaps not $5, but the walk through cost is the open gaming cost. If you want to come down, you will need to pay thsi entry fee.

I didnt word that post very well, but note that if you are in the event we are not charging your wife/etc to get in. we will charge people off the street though....so feel special :)

As part of this Years OFCC we will be having Thursday and Friday events. 1 day tourneys for those near to PDX and those coming in early and wanting to expand their gaming weekend. OFCC XWING Singles - When: 9/25/14 - Noon till end of rounds Rounds: varies by players expect 3 or 4 at least Set up: 100 point standard tourney setup. Sign-ups: OFCC Thursday ticket Cost: $15 non-champs $12 champs OFCC XWING Team When: 9/26/14 - 9 am till end of rounds Rounds: varies by players expect 3 or 4 at least Set up: Each team consists of 1 imperial player and 1 rebel player. Each team member will build a 100 point standard list for their respective faction. As teams are paired against each other for each round, the Imp player will play Rebel and vice/versa for each team. Sign-ups: OFCC Friday ticket Cost: $20 non-champs $16 champs/Player (so team is $40/$32) PM me or post up any questions

I believe it is day of. Its an open, so just make sure you meet the req's if not, your list will need to change day of.

it was considered, but as the primary reason for this is to use the terrain for saturday and sunday games, we limited it. As the primary games are 40k and fantasy on those days.

FC. it will work out. we have dont it both ways. the way individuals work is that the first "FULL" team to pay is in from the allowed teams. It is an incentive to pay. if you have 1 player that doesnt pay, you better pay for him or get on his ass. Sure it can be a pain, but it switches the responsibility from Ordo to the individuals (and by extensions the team). It is much easier for each team to manage their members then for Ordo to manage all the teams. We appreciate your willingness to push your teammates to pay.
