  1. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/electi-studio/mike-hutchinsons-hobgoblin/description I posted about the beta rules for this a while ago. Mike Hutchinson is the designer who created Gaslands. Well this is his bring your own models and have a relatively quick game Fantasy Battle ruleset. The kickstarter page also has a link to a "quick start" version of the rules.
  2. The designer on Gaslands has apparently been working on a fantasy battle ruleset called Hobgolbin. The rules are in beta so check it out if that sounds interesting. https://www.electi-studio.com/hobgoblin
  3. Randomly noticed a new game store in Tualatin today. Reality Break Games - https://realitybreakgames.com/ . 7945 SW Nyberg St. Tualatin, OR, 97062, US, Its kinda in the same complex as Cabela's but next to the Dave's Hot Chicken. Apparently they have only been open for a week and are having their grand opening tomorrow. They have a decent chunk of table space and little bit of GW stuff along with Magic, Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh.
  4. I will say, if you haven't tried them, there are beta rule updates the on the gaslands site for wipeouts and evading. https://gaslands.com/blog/ . They basically make wipeouts a little less punishing in lower gears and evades are easier the faster you are going. I think they are pretty good changes and they worked pretty well when we tried them out.
  5. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1677280/Company_of_Heroes_3/ There is a link on the Steam page you can follow to sign up for and download the COH3 alpha.
  6. Nice some of the last few things I was printing were some 1/32 WWII tanks from thingiverse for bolt action. Did you grab yours from some giant zip files from there?
  7. I feel your pain. I got mine, had some ups and downs and then moved and didn't touch it for a year. Then I got it back out and spent a decent amount of time and effort(new extruder, screwed up my hotend so had to replace that) got it working all right and then the pandemic happened so I didn't have any motivation to print cause I wasn't going to be playing with what I was printing. At this point if I am going to get back into it then I am considering spending a bit more to get a FDM or Resin printer that I wouldn't have to spend so much time messing with to get it printing how I want.
  8. Between 2 of my friends and I with Enders we have had different results. 1 works great almost all the time, mine is decent most of the time after lots of tweaking, and the last has been a disaster. That could also be due in part to our varying degrees of mechanical aptitude.
  9. Some pretty cool DND map creation software. Says they are doing a kickstarter on Feb 9th. https://www.dungeonalchemist.com/
  10. If you enjoy the music in this please do yourself a favor and look up some more Carpenter Brut.
  11. Haven't checked this out but looks pretty promising https://www.polygon.com/2020/6/22/21299176/tabletop-game-map-generator-dungeon-scrawl
  12. KS is live. You can check out what the 3rd faction will be at least.

  14. This guy posts a list of monthly 3d printing kickstarters, here is Octobers https://makerfun3d.com/3d-printable-terrain-miniature-kickstarters-october-2019
  15. Oh and here is a link to some trailers you can print for that bootlegger faction: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3867397
  16. Here's a list of all the changes people have compiled: https://old.reddit.com/r/gaslandsplayers/comments/d5si11/gaslands_refueled_technical_changelog/ The most interesting parts to me are ramps and the new sponsors. 2 of them are pretty involved. One is ghost cars that I still haven't wrapped my head around. The second is drunken bootleggers. They have to take a trailer or a war rig and can never pick a straight template along with a bunch of other rules. Skid dice and movement templates are the main things you will use. Counters for hazards and conditions are nice but you can easily made do without them.
  17. I would suggest using Virtual Box to install Ubuntu as a virtual machine on your Windows OS first. That will let you do a trial run without leaving you without a working computer if it goes poorly. This looks like a pretty decent walkthrough of it: https://itsfoss.com/install-linux-in-virtualbox/ I have never used Virtual Box with ubuntu but I do use it at work every day to run Windows VMs and occasionally red hat/cent os.
  18. Hex "overworld" map tiles ala mighty empires https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3728353 And here's one guys printing of it. https://imgur.com/a/54JLka4
  19. Pre-orders up Enforcer Patrol https://www.games-workshop.com/en-US/Necromunda-Palanite-Enforcer-Patrol-2019 New Book https://www.games-workshop.com/en-US/Necromunda-The-Book-Of-Judgement-EN-2019 Contents– Crime on Necromunda: Extensive background on the vast criminal organisations and enterprises of Necromunda– Palanite Enforcers: Rules for fielding these elite officers of the law in Necromunda– Criminal Alliances: Rules for forming alliances with criminal organisations– New Campaign: The Law and Misrule campaign presents a new way to play as gangs fight over control of criminal rackets– Black Market: A huge selection of new weapons and wargear focusing on illegal and alien equipment for gangs to use– Hired Guns: Add Psyreena Skar, Estus Jet, Cor 'Two Guns' Coran, Vunder Gorvos, Gaen 'The Gunk Queen' Gorvos and Jonny Razor to your gang
  20. Some pretty highly detailed 3d printing files for WWII buildings. Kinda spendy but it does have a free sample you can check out.
  21. Thin Air- Richard K Morgan. If you liked Altered Carbon then I would say you will like this one as well. The underlying structure is pretty similar to Altered Carbon but not too much. The Sky Blue Wolves - SM Stirling The last of "The Change" series, maybe. I made it this far so I read this one. He seems to have been running out of places to take the series so it kinda just wraps up quickly. Lies Sleeping - Ben Aaronovitch. Latest in the Rivers of London series which is british police procedural with wizards. Good stuff. Space Carrier Avalon - Glynn Stewart - Saw this recommended as 'Honor Harrington without 100 pages on how space missiles work" and gave it a shot. Its decent miltary sci-fi and I need to try the next book.
