im curious what you guys talked about the other night. I just got off the phone with my friend who is helping organize the NW tournament circuit and we talked about the part that Bellingham could play. He mentioned that we should shoot for a single day tourny, since we dont have a tone of room and single day tourny's will be just as important as larger two day events for the circuit.

List B looks like it would work really well in our environment. The best armies have a presence in every phase and this list can offer you some sort of choice at any given point. I agree about the 3 treekin though, they will not offer you a lot and will most likely get shot or overwhelmed.

I think Greyson has a account but he doesn't use it. I txted him today about next week and he hasn't gotten back to me. Nathan last night was a delight. After a spontaneous hydration handout from a very drunk chick at caps, Nathan got an entire glass of water spilled on his crouch because the very drunk lady started grabbing and flailing like a zombie for Kacy and Nathans beer. I ran into the same very drunk zombie lady a little latter when I tried to close my tab and after she mumbled something incoherently while frothing at the mouth a little, she told me to act like I knew her...? We then meandered around the ham for a little while, Nathan used this time to contemplate buying a flask with some odd ridden animal printed on it, from the smoke shop. And to top off the night, we all loitered outside of the deli next to the Up while Nathan spun his keys around proclaiming that whoever took his keys from him would get all of his worldly possessions. After a bit of grabbing and man shoving, Kacy's glasses broke to a wicked arm flail from Nathan. So concluded the night of post-NYP shenanigans.

I actually think we pull some punches when it comes to our meta. We were pretty soft until Nathaniel started playing again. Greyson and I were talking about this yesterday, we dont have many of the super crazy builds that you hear about happening on the east coast. I would put us at a strong level but not a ruthless tournament level. Magic is not as easy to control as it was so its generally viewed as a good thing to invest some points into a good magic phase. special characters dont get used much up here, I for one will never use them because I think they are dumb unless used in a very appropriately themed army. everything else is pretty open.

Magic can also be a huge factor at lower pt games. When you only have a couple of units and one or several get nuked in the same turn, it can be bad. As far as the prize support goes, talk to Nathaniel, he was going to have support for the league I ran, but once the league died off he didn't want to support it anymore.

I would also like to play in either, but would prefer to do some sort of ladder league instead of escalation. However fantasy is fantasy and I love fantasy.

im curious where people in Seattle play fantasy. Card Kingdom is not a great place for warhammer related stuff since they have few tables and mediocre terrain. The reason I ask is because I used to live and play in Seattle when there were a number of strong independent game shops, but I moved to Bellingham several years ago for school and have been out of touch with the scene.
