  1. Should be, but doesn't 'need' to be. Last year we ran it at 1500, end of escalation league. Being it needs to be painted for the tournament, really want to allow ability to escalate.

Come get your 40k gaming on! Check the post below for points level being played each week! Also, a good idea to plan your game ahead of time on the game night thread. Tuesday is more likely to have the most 40k players, but can arrange Sunday games too!
  4. I 'might' be there for D&D, we'll see. Pray to the blood god for me! 👹
  5. 40K Escalation League - 2020 Winter Warzone “The road to OFCC” Welcome everyone! You’ve waited patiently, here’s the rules you've waited for! Where (multiple locations in Portland/Vancouver area): Ordo/WoW clubhouse, (Tuesdays 5pm+ and Sundays 3pm+) on normal game nights. Arrange games in game night thread on these forums. Goin' Gaming (Sundays, starts at noon) Gambit's Cards & Hobbies (Thursdays, starts at 5:30pm). Play at their league night and receive 10% off product, food, & drinks. Fate & Fury games, (Saturdays, call ahead for time) Geeks and Games, (Mondays, call ahead for time). Come enjoy a beer and have a great game! Even home games are allowed (against league players). Perks: There will be a 1750 point ITC style tournament Saturday April 25th 2020 after the league ends hosted at the Ordo clubhouse. Anyone who purchased 2020 Ordo champ dues (Reaver or higher) and played at least 5 weeks/games in the 40k league for credit will get FREE entry to that tournament. More info to come. Who: YOU!!! Why: Because you need to prepare an army, refresh on 40k rules, or just love 40k so much you want to play more often! Also, this would be great preparation if you’re thinking about OFCC in July! Cost: League itself is FREE for everyone. With the exception of game night dues (playing at WoW) or if the store you play at has a fee. Highly recommend renewing your champion status on the Ordo store for 2020. Warlord more than pays for itself for just the 8 league nights alone when playing at WoW. Needed: Bring a copy of your lists each week, gaming equipment (dice, cards, etc), and a good sportsmanlike gaming demeanor. Army Composition: Battleforged lists using matched play, with the goal of escalating a real army for future use (OFCC, tournaments, and other future events). Max detachments: 500 points: 1 detachment 750 to 1250: 2 detachments 1500 to 1750: 3 detachments Armies can include any number of 40k approved Games Workshop, Chapter Approved, or Forgeworld sources Each week will be an increased point value. Week 1 (Feb 29th) - 500 (doubles recommended) Week 2 (March 7th) - 750 (doubles recommended) Week 3 (March 14th) - 1000 (doubles optional) Week 4 (March 21st) - 1000 (doubles optional) Week 5 (March 28th) - 1250 Week 6 (April 4th) - 1500 Week 7 (April 11th) - 1500 Week 8 (April 18th) - 1750 (same point level as tournament on April 25th) You need to have fun with this. Experiment with combinations you’ve never tried, you are not locked into a list or army during this league! This is not a win at all costs league, make sure your opponents enjoy the game too. CLARIFICATIONS: If you use a detachment, you get all the benefits of a detachment including CP's. Some weeks have limits on how many of detachments you can take. Event Specific Rules: Your army is your army. You have your own Warlord. Nominate a CHARACTER. Required keyword. If playing doubles: Your psychic powers can only buff your army. They are allowed to debuff your teammate’s army. For the purposes of the Fight Phase, teammates are considered as one and will need to pick a single unit to Fight first. 6x4 tables with FAQ Tactical Reserves rules in effect. 6. I'm thinking an 8 week escalation league starting around Late feb or early March, culminating in a Saturday ITC tournament open to all, but still fun and casual. League players, get first registration to the tournament too. We had a blast last year, looking forward to another! Only thing i can't decide is start at 500 points or 750, to allow true escalation. However, this year I'm considering starting at 750, and ending at 1750 (which would be good for the tournament too). I need to talk to a few people for some logistics, but this IS happening 😁
  7. Simple green has always worked fine for me. Takes scrubbing with a toothbrush, but doesn't damage plastics, even if you leave it in for 2 days, etc. Does take some scrubbing, and the model is not 100% paint free in some places. But it's enough to repaint. That said, Bryan told me about Castrol Super Clean, think it was like 1-2 hours to soak then the paint just peeled off. PROBLEM, it's very caustic and cancerous, use ventilation and proper hazard gloves!
  8. Stay tuned...looking to run another club escalation league (likely in March 2020), to culminate in another ITC tournament in April on a Saturday! Pondering the planning now...
  9. Next time, I had to run my daughter on some errands.
  10. It's still very much on the fence, but i'll let you know 😁
  11. I might get to show up this Sunday. I'll let you know, but maybe time for that Infinity learning game? What would I need to bring, haven't assembled my dudes yet.
  12. Hire some cheerleaders, misuse them, then fire them. 😈
  13. Yeah, this! Vinyl is fine for smaller mats. I have 3 different blood bowl pitches, some kill team mats, etc. Plus, vinyl is cheap enough to get printed custom too. The kill team mats we got from https://www.aprintco.com/ were a steal.
  14. Meh, it is a dice game... 🤣
  15. Neoprene is superior because it will always lay flat after being rolled. A huge vinyl mat can sometimes have waves after unrolling. Sure it's cheaper, but the neoprene is an invenstment for a reason. I agree, I wish neoprene wasn't so expensive. I also like how neoprene deadens dice bouncing and rolling all over. It's minor, but makes for cleaner play.
  16. I always pictured Disturbed "Indestructible" as perfect for a space marine army. The lyrics are PERFECT... 😅 P.S. Man, whoever edited this video can't spell for crap!
  17. This!! The final trilogy was a pile of [big bad swear word], the last at least ended it decently. All 3 movies were not a Lucas envisioned story.
  18. Apparently this includes Asmodee games too?
  19. I really liked Battlelore on Android. Guess it might not have sold huge amounts. Not sure what huge HIT board games would be good for a mobile platform.
  20. Sad they didn't even keep their digital games crew. Seems like digital board games (at least big hits) are a gold mine?
  21. Hah, i'll raise you one! My 6 year old at the time BEATING me! Yes, I lost that game. The tie swarm ran into a can of raid...
  22. As DC said above, definitely 9-10, our group will be there til before 10, maybe a little earlier at least. We can work out at least 10pm for ya 😁
  23. The corsairs are a separate army from the witch elves, which are a separate army from the core spearmen, etc. My pre AOS army was 2 hydras, 2 blocks of spearmen, cauldron of blood, a couple of sorceresses, 2 repeater ballista, blackguard, harpies, etc. The way the book made it out is all those units are split out across multiple armies now and makes them pieces of a once whole army. That said, haven't dug deeper in AOS, but haven't seen models I can use in Warcry from what i own yet.
  24. My big deal with Warcry and AOS, is my Dark elves have been scattered to the wind. I can't make a faction proper army or warband with the 2500pts I own!
