  1. TMNT - 6.5/10 I would watch it again. My son enjoyed it. I enjoyed it like I enjoyed the old Cartoon. Speaking of, I read somewhere that BeBop and Rocksteady are supposed to be in the sequal. Actually, the Cartoon is a great comparison for myself. I enjoyed the movie like I enjoyed the cartoon, it could have been a double/triple episode. I like the Original Movie Trilogy better as far as movie goes, but that could be nostalgia creeping up on me. I'd watch it again with the kids, I'm not sure I'd seek it out alone.
  2. Picked up Zombie Yahtzee...erhm Dice, for my Brother and his lady for Q3 Earnings Celebration....I mean christmas.
  3. I just learned Ascension last night. That was a good deal of fun. Deck-building board game. We played 4 players first game, and 6 players second game. I plan on picking it up in the next year.
  4. It's a Wolf Lord with Relics from Champions of Fenris. I'm considering using Company of the Great Wolf detachment for my Atramentar, and while looking over the relics, it got me thinking about HeroHammer. I don't see kitting him like that. IWND sounds tempting in theory, but I don't see it being useful on a Termie Lord. Thanks for the points of consideration, guys. :)
  5. Is 210 for a Termie Lord with these abilities too much? Counter Attack, It Will Not Die, Reroll to Hit/Wound, +1S/+d3 attacks in H2H How does it compare to Special Characters to you? When I played Templar, I kept my Marshal pretty basic, PW/BP and Iron Halo. The same of my Night Lords, pretty basic Chaos Lord unless I'm running Huron instead. How do you determine your commander and the points you are spending on him? Do you always go with a certain percentage of army? Do you decide on a theme and choose an HQ that best facilitates that theme? do you always avoid going over a certain cost?
  6. Is the RoC version where we post porno links?
  7. Why you gotta go one-uping my light show?
  8. Into The Storm 2/5 Campy new age Twister. As a friend put it, "they made the tornadoes like sneaky rogues, just BAM suddenly there, no warning or even a storm to announce." The graphics were better than I expected. Slight coming of age story. Predictable. I didn't completely hate it, but I wouldn't watch it again by choice. The Family 3.5/5 Henry Hill and his family living in a modern Europe on witness protection. He writes books. Explosions and gunfights ensue. Funny, if a bit dry in an awkward way a couple times. Will watch again.
  9. Intrizic, I think you really hit a big nail on the head there. Why does everyone keep bitching year after year about OFCC? Because we love it. Those individuals that bitched and couldn't come to terms, or had a chip on their shoulder (for legit or perceived issues), where are they now? Do they even participate in the community anymore? Are they the types of individuals that would potentially be banned, or uninvited from the event? All rhetoric, of course. I don't think I've read at any point in time "OFCC is such a poopstick event ran by a bunch of asshat clowns that can't stop huffing primer long enough to pull Marnius' "Power Sword" out of their bum." It's always, "I love OFCC, but I find this specific circumstance at the event created an emotionally charged response in me, but I'd totally go again!"
  10. Yup, you nailed it. Like I said earlier, I enjoyed playing you, and it was a great looking army. It was just frustrating for me when I knew I was going to lose hard. These guys pretty much hit it, Pax. Anything further I'd say is just rewording their stuff. lol Thanks guys.
  11. I haven't been in numerous years, there was an aspect of raffling involved, by and far. I don't recall all of prize support being withheld for the Raffle, just a portion of it. But there you go, if prize support is already purely raffle, then there is that much more reason to do away with Comp/List Rating. If "winning" big in the games doesn't have a boon, I don't see why there is bitching about half the stuff that is being complained about.
  12. I think if someone wants to show up with 65 Lonewolfs wielding Combi-Flamers, let them. If someone wants to show up running a well-balanced all-comers list, let them. If someone wants to show up running 5 Knights, let them. 2000 pts, 3 color Painted and Based. Just don't make Prize Support and game score equatable. It seems to be the easiest way to get rid of a substantial part of the stress and deliberation of the event. Nobody can be accused of being biased in allowing or not allowing something. If the event is supposed to be about having fun with guys you don't regularly play with, I don't believe keeping score is conductive to that environment. The goal is supposed to be more like Garagehammer than the Tourney Circuit, isn't it?
  13. It wasn't this past year, this was a few years back. The guy who runs (ran?) the game store out in Coeur d'Alene was HoG that year, iirc. Necrontyr brought Armoured Company. Garret brought his Raptors. I believe the event was in Vanc, at a hotel across the street from burger king and an Asian restaurant. I think EvilBryan had a team of Templar with Ando and a couple others.
