  1. Finally watched Days of Future Past. I loved it. Quicksilver wearing a Pink Floyd shirt and the whole Time in a Bottle scene. Pretty much any scene with Blink in it. Phoenix. Stupid [big bad swear word]s pissed me off with Last Stand's treatment of her.
  2. I knew what it was going into it and didn't have high hopes, honestly. My preconceptions were blown outta the sky. Great movie! If they took their cinematic universe to Flash Point Paradox level of grit, I think they'd manage to gain a better footing than they've had vs MCU.
  3. Thunderwolves would be Juggies, Knights would be LoS/IK kitbash or Chaotic IKs. I think, if you are doing a Counts As army utilizing an Imperial Codex to do a Traitor Legion or Traitor Guard force, Gerantius is the Knight of choice to represent a Lord of Skulls/Imperial Knight kitbash. Run and Shoot lets him get in their face fast, without sacrificing shots. 6 HP with a 3++ and IWND is just keen as a peachy jelly bean. All three lists are 2k points. The third list wouldn't be legal at a lot of the events in the area it sounds like, as they don't allow duplicate Detachment choices. Although it is probably the most visually appealing to me, 3 Khornate Knights with 2 Covens of DarkMech keeping them alive. I'd like to find a list somewhere between the first two, though. I like the single coven being on Juggernaughts, giving you S 10 Thunderhammer/Servo Arm attacks. They are also very mobile, but fragile with just the 8 marines on TWC. I feel the ablative wounds coming from the Cyberwolves is needed, but you're only getting 2 Knights as is. I also think Canis is a lot of fun if you are running the Cyberwolves, giving them an additional bite. It would be something like: Paladin(Warlord), Gerantus, Errant for Knights / Canis, 3 Iron Priests on Thunderwolves with 2 Cyberwolves each, and 4 Thunderwolf Calvary. 3 Knights, 8 Marines on "Juggies" with 6 Cyberwolf and 8 TWC ablative wounds. Only 3 Healers for the Daemon Engines, though.
  4. So I could take a Company of the Great Wolf Detachment and an Imperial Knights Primary Detachment. I would just have to make sure I took a minimum of 3 knights, 1 SW HQ and 2 SW EL. It's just really how the TO/EO or my opponent wishes to restrict it. Now on the subject of Space Wolves, they treat the wolf upgrades like Tau treat Drones, correct? A Wolf Lord with 2 Wolves is still able to join a unit. Are Independent Characters still able to join other ICs and make an IC Blob?
  5. So, Retainers is listed under Special Rules? That's an interesting point, Pax.
  6. Servitors in C SW have the following "Special Rule." They may be taken as an Elite with or without a Techmarine. They just gain benefits from being included with a Techmarine. Lone Wolfs have the following, but it isn't a Special Rule, it's part of it's Unit Comp: To me, it looks like Lone Wolfs are taken like Honor Guard or Command Squads or Death Company Dreads. Servitors, on the other hand, may be taken regardless of the Techmarine. They just become Slot Free if you have one. At that point, I have to ask, is the Court of Archon set up like a Lone Wolf or like the Servitors? Up to this point, I was under the impression that it was set up like Lone Wolf and the others. Having seen Servitors, it made me wonder, but I didn't want to bog down LH's thread any longer.
  7. A friend's wife got this today:
  8. Have at thee! Clearly, a sign from the Bacogods.
  9. We've already seen Nurgle and Khorne Heretic lists/source books. IA 13 has compiled everything Chaos released up to this point. I say we'll see a Slaanesh Heretic List in one of the next books, perhaps by X-Mas '15. When they release IA 13 Second Edition for 8th Edition, they'll add the Slaanesh and Tzeentch lists to it. That's my guess, anyway.
  10. So apparently, IA13 makes reference to the Slaanesh Epic Titans. It doesn't have rules for them, just a fluff mention of them. Perhaps we'll be seeing Slaanesh and his/her titans in the next book or two.
  11. More things to come: http://battlebunnies.blogspot.co.uk/ Plenty of other pics of the displays, book contents and other units coming out including IF, AL and WB ConDreads and more AdMech troops and tanks. I'm looking forward to seeing the full sculpt of Konrad, as I'm a little let down on this initial picture. Sevvie looks pretty sick, though.
  12. Every time a codex has came out in the 18 years I've been involved in the hobby, people try to convolute a rule into making something happen that isn't there. If it's inflammatory to compare examples of such, color me guilty. I don't believe any one involved in this conversation is going to show up at a tourney with a CAD utilizing a lone member or combination of members of a Court as their HQ. I do believe that this has been a mental exercise discussing the feasibility and legality of doing such. I don't believe that we as a community on here have that many WAAC players. I do believe someone who intends to misconstrue a rule for personal gain within the context of the game is a cheese dick. I don't believe any one individual in this conversation has that intent. There's two sides here that both believe RAW supports their interpretation. Both sides believe it is perfectly clear as it is written. "I believe in g-d, because look around us." "I don't believe in your god, because look around us."
  13. Isn't it an off topic discussion about how each of us believe the RAW is supposed to be interpreted? Don't we have to share a common belief of what the RAW means in order to have a game? I believe what they wrote (RAW) is no different than any of the other examples I cited. I also believe that the changes to "Dedicated Transports" adds RAI support to the need of the Archon to bring it's Court into play outside of Unbound and Apoc army lists. I also believe that trying to weasel and cheese dick the Court into being able to be taken without meeting it's perquisites is no different than arguing that the standard infantry base is 25mm, not 1" and therefore you can't charge my Oblit with his meat shield.
  14. I know it's not really a valid point, no more so than anyone else's, ultimately, but..... I don't believe it's in the same vein as Transports (ie being able to take without being a dedicated ride). Without having read the direct quotation, assuming what it says from Flugers post: I am of the opinion that they were trying to streamline the verbiage into a single sentence. The comment about the color is irrelevant as Lone Wolfs are not "Special Colored" yet have the same text as the Command Squad. Death Company Dreads aren't colored differently, either. IF CoA can be taken without being unlocked by an Archon, then I'm of the opinion the same holds true to the rest. I do not believe it holds true of the rest, therefore I do not believe it holds true of the Court.
  15. Wait, I don't see the difference between Lone Wolfs and Command Squads. If you're saying that Lone Wolfs don't require TR or WG, then Command Squads don't require an HQ to take.
  16. Dammit, and here I was going through my Blood Angels dex the last couple days. Grrr.
  17. https://www.origin.com/en-us/store/free-games/on-the-house Like title says. Full game, legit for free. Promo for the new Dragonage coming out next month.
  18. I don't know if I can stomach going through 20 posts looking for a recipe or three. Ain't nobody got time for dat.
