DMB PBR issues a Challenge to DMB Brohan
magnusthetraitor replied to magnusthetraitor's topic in OFCC 2015
I know right? I get so many positive comments from random people when I wear my team shirts. "yeah, go DMB!" "awesome shirt, man!" "DMB rocks!" [big bad swear word] it, I'll take it. -
That is rad! The DMB banner isn't even finished. I figure I should have my army finished before I work on the banner. :-)

DMB PBR issues a Challenge to DMB Brohan
magnusthetraitor replied to magnusthetraitor's topic in OFCC 2015
Wait, whose sister am I kissing? -
Hark! A challenge has been issued! The Appletini Battle Honor challenge. Does the cowardly old man who captains the Brohanitas have the guts to accept the appletini-flavored justice coming his way? Day One Battle Honor shall be totaled thusly: with a Win being worth 1 point, a Draw 0, and a Loss -1, summed for all three games for all players on that team. 1) The captain whose team has earned the higher record of the two (hereupon known as THE HONORABLE WINNER) shall buy his opposing captain with the lower score (THE SAD LOSER) a number of Appletinis equal to the difference in Battle Honor. 2) The SAD LOSER shall purchase a number of PBRs (or equivalent brew) for the HONORABLE WINNER. 3) Both shall consume these libations while being lauded or laughed at by all and sundry. What say you, yellow craven?

DMB PBR issues a challenge to the A-Club Underdogs! They have agreed to meet us on the field of battle, armed with beer and dice. Magnus, known to some as the Traitor

Team PBR of Clan DMB humbly requests a slot at this prestigious event.

Much appreciated!

What did he do to you?

While this is ideal, often the coaches are under a time limit and must skip the "looking at lists" stage, and go directly to "drink and throw somebody under the bus."

OFCC 40k 2016's new format. After going three way, there is no other way to play.

One week to go, so what do you have left to paint?
magnusthetraitor replied to Chappy's topic in Warhammer 40k Team Event
I've got about 10 Daemonettes, a Herald on Steed of Slaanesh, and a display board to finish up. It'll be painted! but it will require a great sacrifice to Slaanesh. -
Any teams still looking for a 4th?
magnusthetraitor replied to AbusePuppy's topic in Warhammer 40k Team Event
All the teams that I know of that had 3 folks spontaneously combusted as soon as they got a 4th lined up. :-p I'm hoping that they were the same teams, cause otherwise DAMN. -

Space Wolves Discussion - First Reaction
magnusthetraitor replied to evil_bryan's topic in Warhammer 40,000
But for those 165 pts of Iron Priest on TWM + 4x Cyberwolves... you could have four more Thunder Wolf Cavalry models. I was already in the TWC fanclub. Now I'm in a Thunderwolf cult. Come in, relax! Have some koolaid. -
I don't have the same feeling of dread and imminent disappointment that I did before the Orks codex. Maybe the drugs are working! ;-)

To those about to BRAWL this weekend, we salute you!
magnusthetraitor replied to PumpkinHead's topic in Warhammer 40,000
We had more prizes than people! :-) Bob Kelley got Best Painted, Aaron Bang got Best Sportsman, Jason Peterson got Best General and the Best Overall went to Chance Townsend. We tapped out the first keg of Warboss Weizenbock at the end of round 1 (thanks to Brewmeister Tony Peterson), and the second five gallon keg of Paradise Creek Firehouse Rye by the end of the second round (!?!?!). Thankfully the final keg lasted until the beginning of round 5. :-) I had a blast running the thing, and folks had a great time playing in it. Well worth the work involved in setting it up. -
3! Obviously you're a dirty daemon summoner who is trying to ruin the game for all his opponents. ;-) I play Daemons these days, and I have no idea what this list is going to do on the tabletop. Its got lots of units and diversified threats. If a daemon player can't figure out what you're going to do, I can't imagine how a player who isn't familiar with daemons would. You'll get a lot of "That unit does WHAT?" Personally I'd drop a few things and add another greater reward to the Lord of Change, and upgrade to a Greater Reward on the Tzeentch Prince. That would give you the +2 Strength staff, right? I play Slaanesh mostly but I wish I had that wargear for bopping little marines on the head with Instant Death. A Juggernaut on that Herald of Khorne to go with that Axe would be super sweet, too. I've had good luck with the psychic phase with 8-10 dice, more and I end up getting perils a lot when I throw too many dice at things. If you're summoning, well I don't do that a lot so I can't offer any advice there. At the current build, I wouldn't rate this above a 2. Magnus
-
The thing with ratings is that no matter what number that total strangers give you, it will not mesh with your perceptions of how you believe the list should rate based on your own experiences with the models that make up the list. I just expect anything I put out to get a 3, even when I maintain a .500 average at the best of times! Don't stress it too much. A list that you've played and are familiar with and is already mostly painted it far superior to any list that you think might be better or that you need a lot of work to get done. Use that extra time to keep playing it and finish touching up the few things that need work! My $.02. :-) Magnus

Fw characters not updated for 7th
magnusthetraitor replied to Brent Mooney's topic in Warhammer 40k Team Event
Poor Shadow Captain Korvidae is in the same boat. At the rate FW is updating, he will be given the 40k Approved stamp around 9th edition.
